Modern methods of reconstruction of saturated audio signals
Mikulášková, Aneta ; Mokrý, Ondřej (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis presents a variety of soft clipping simulations and their respective de-clipping functions. A restoration method uses a Douglas-Rachford algorithm (already verified for hard de-clip). The algorithm is extended by inverse functions and simultaneous de-quantization is proposed. The simulations are applied to artificial signals, and audio samples, and the proposal is tested in the computing environment MATLAB. A restored signal is later evaluated by objective and subjective methods.

Pavel Bárta, PhD Consultant: Mgr. Lucie Hyršová Title of diploma thesis: In vitro saturation study of 99m Tc-HYNIC-ramucirumab on PC-3 cell line The number of malignant tumours in the population has increased in recent years. Due to the frequent serious sides effects of chemotherapeutic drugs on the whole organism, targeted antitumor therapy is at the forefront. Due to its specific effect on the regulatory and signal pathways of protein structures, monoclonal antibodies are used for the target anti-tumour therapy. The basic properties of the growing tumour include vasculogenesis (the ability to build new blood vessels from the endothelial precursors) and angiogenesis (the process of self-inducing formation of blood vessels). Endothelial tumour progenitors include vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). VEGF activates its biological activity by binding to its transmembrane tyrosine-kinase receptors VEGFR. Indeed, the inhibition of the vascular endothelial factor receptors is the target of some monoclonal antibodies. Ramucirumab is a monoclonal antibody that selectively inhibits VEGF receptor type 2 (VEGFR-2) and thereby...
Channel Merging Techniques for improving Dynamic Range of ± 10 V Signal Chain Channel
The main aim of this thesis was to evaluate the current state of iodine levels in horses from selected farms in South Bohemia. Out of the sample group, no animal with iodine deficiency was detected. Additional objective of this thesis was to assess whether selected horse owners supplement their horses with iodine and what form of supplementation they choose.

In vitro saturation study of 99mTc-HYNIC-ramucirumab on SKOV3 cell line

v anglickom jazyku Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biophysics and Physical Chemistry Student: Juliána Klimová Supervisor: Mgr. Pavel Bárta, Ph.D. Name of the work: In vitro saturation study of 99m Tc-HYNIC-ramucirumab on SKOV3 cell line. The passive immunotherapy is based on the use of already active immune system components (monoclonal antibodies), which play an important role in cancer cells elimination in the organism. The active immunotherapy tries to stimulate an active anticancer response via an appropriate form of an immunization. When monoclonal antibodies bind to cancer cells, those cells become a selected target for the following removal. The enhancement of the anti- cancer affect of monoclonal antibodies is possible due to the attachment of therapeutic agents like cytostatics, toxins and radionuclides. This presented master thesis is focused on the radiolabeling of the monoclonal antibody ramucirumab, which is directed against the vascular endothelial growth factor type 2 (VEGFR 2), which is often present in cells of some types of cancerous diseases. Within the experimental work, at first, there was a conjugation of chelating agent succinimidyl-6-hydrazino-nicotinamide (HYNIC) on the monoclonal antibody. After this step, radionuclide 99m...
Nymburk sugar factory under the management of Hanuš Karlík
Fexová, Lucie ; Beneš, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Čechura, Jaroslav (referee)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to restore awareness of the Czech sugar industry tradition. For this intention I chose Nymburk sugar factory in an era, when one of the most important personas of Czech sugar industry Hanuš Karlík was its director. The thesis consists of a brief introduction to the history of Czech sugar industry, where the establishment of Nymburk sugar factory is set, followed by a description of the period when Hanuš Karlík was the director and how his administration influenced both Nymburk sugar factory and sugar industry in general. In the conclusion, there is a view on the sugar factory after Karlík left and the fate of the sugar factory that led to an infamous end. The work is primarly based on local archival sources, memoirs and newspappers. Several books about the history of Nymburk and about common history of sugar industry are used to set the topic in a wider historical context.
Excess of loss reinsurance with reinstatements
Čápová, Petra ; Mazurová, Lucie (advisor) ; Cipra, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis deals with the calculation of the premium for model of excess of loss reinsurance with reinstatements (XL-reinsurance with reinstatements). In the first part except the description of the basic model, we devote to derivation of the formula for calculating the pure premium. Furthermore, we show the detailed calculation procedure of the pure premium including the derivation of the probability function for the composite distribution of the total reinsurer's participation in claims here. The thesis also describes the method of PH transformation, which is used to determine the risk adjusted premium. In the second part we show these procedures on concrete examples for various probability distributions of the amount of claims and the number of claims. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Recognition of Weather in an Outdoor Stationary Camera View
Jenčo, Michal ; Juránková, Markéta (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis deals with classification of weather from stationary outdoor camera images with a landscape view. It classifies fog, clear, partly cloudy and overcast weather in particular. The problem was solved by computing five image flags and using machine learning. Hit rate of 95% was achieved with only small variances between weather types. The main finding of this work is that it is possible to successfully differentiate between the selected weather types with the chosen set of simple image flags. The implementation of this system enables plotting a graph of weather progression during a chosen day.
