Pilgrimage and its use for catechesis
Němeček, Jaroslav ; Eliáš, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Mrňávek, Tomáš (referee)
Anotation: PILGRIMAGE AND HER EXPLOITATION FOR CATECHISM The thesis offers to the participants of the catechism course insight into one of the biggest Middle Ages pilgrimages - "Saint-Jacob's Pilgrimage", as well as into the history of pilgrimage generally, and into related events from the history of the Church. Pilgrimages have not only spiritual, historical, cultural or political dimension, but they are - above all - journeys of internal contemplation of God and recognition of oneself. Therefore, the goal of this thesis was to help, through the historical background, to deepen the belief of the participants, encourage their active life with God and give them a practical help in their Christian life. The matter is divided into two parts: The theoretical part deals with what precedes the catechism - i. e. the conditions that need to be fulfilled in the interest of a correct and meaningful catechism. The second part is a resulting example of practical preparation to catechism. It is conceived so that the participants are acquainted with the historical facts, with the spirituality of places of pilgrimage. At the same time, the substance of belief and Christian life is being explained. In each lesson selected notions of catechism are introduced and explained and a space is given to the participants to present...

NIRA As A Conceptual Fallacy. The Causes of A Failure of A Corporativist Project
Máslo, Lukáš ; Tajovský, Ladislav (advisor) ; Skřivan, Aleš (referee)
In this thesis I am analyzing the causes of failure of the recovery program resulting from the National Industrial Recovery Act (NIRA) the implementation of which the National Recovery Administration (NRA) ensured. I am searching for the act's ideological roots and directions of thought which had projected themselves into it, first. Further on, I deal with the content, process of drafting and approving of the codes of fair competition, as well as the facts which were determining them. In the next part I am scrutinizing the procedures of enforcing the codes and code compliance, including the twists in development of these. For the understanding of these procedures is what I regard as necessary for grasping the increasing hostility towards the NRA of part of business. In the last two chapters I deal with the NRA's failure's causes proper. I divide these causes into, first, which I think do not result from the NIRA conception and which could have revealed themselves during any other program's implementation. And, second, which result from the legislation's real essence directly. These I am dividing, further on, into causes (defects) emanating from the NIRA just as a result of concrete historical circumstances of time and place and causes emanating from the act's conception necessarily, disregard of circumstances. My central idea, to the advantage of which I am setting forth the arguments in this thesis, is that the NIRA must have ended up unsuccessful, exactly because of the inherent problems it contained, even if there was no Supreme Court's Schechter decision. In accordance with Mises's idea of any interventionist model's necessary instability I utter the hypothesis that the NIRA had but two ways ahead of it. One led to the state before the act's passage, the other one led in the direction of central planning, in any form, which only could have, although for a short time, deal with the problems resulting from the missing inter-industrial coordination in the state of the fragmented order of market.

Analysis of public facilities and catchment of villages for services in selected districts of South Bohemia (Český Krumlov, České Budějovice, Jindřichův Hradec)
VÁCHA, Jan
The goal of this bachelor work is, on foundtations of datas about numbers of public facilities and retail, to determine catchment area of municipalities for services in defined territory, which consist of selected districts of South Bohemia (Český Krumlov, České Budějovice, Jindřichův Hradec). The first part focuses on the theoretical basis of the work where, services, regions, approaches to defining the centers and theory of central places are defined and the application of gravity models in geography is described. The middle part is devoted to the basic geographic characteristics of the monitored area and the overall methodology of creation of the work. In the last part are evaluated methods of selection of centers and microregions of individual centers, which are expressed in the map list. At the end created microregions were compared with the administrative division of the monitored area.

Economic consequences of China's One-child policy
Letko, Roman ; Bartůsková, Lucia (advisor) ; Pavlíček, Tomáš (referee)
The objective of this diploma thesis is to describe and to complexly evaluate Chinas one child policy from its introduction in 1979 till its abandonment in 2015. Theoretical part of thesis offers a detailed description of the policy, its application in real life, circumstances and aims that led to the implementation of the policy. Applied part of thesis analyses its effect on the fertility rate, population growth and economic growth. According to the results of this analysis one child policy helped to decline Chinas fertility rate and population growth, however its impact is just partial. The decline of Chinese population growth then contributed to the economic growth; my estimate is that it composed 40 % of average annual growth of real GDP per capita. One child policy is also responsible for raising sex ratio and ageing of population in China. These demographic problems let to its replacement by two child policy that probably wont solve these problems.

Drivers of soil moisture trends in the Czech Republic between 1961 and 2012
Trnka, M. ; Brázdil, R. ; Balek, J. ; Semerádová, D. ; Hlavinka, P. ; Možný, M. ; Štěpánek, P. ; Dobrovolný, P. ; Zahradníček, P. ; Dubrovský, Martin ; Eitzinger, J. ; Fuchs, B. ; Svoboda, M. ; Hayes, M. ; Žalud, Z.
Soil moisture dynamics and their temporal trends in the Czech Republic are forced by various drivers. Our analysis of temporal trends indicates that shifts in drought severity between 1961 and 2012 and especially in the April, May, and June period, which displayed such results as a 50% increase in drought probability during 1961–1980 in comparison to 2001–2012. We found that increased global radiation and air temperature together with decreased relative humidity (all statistically significant at p < 0.05) led to increases in the reference evapotranspiration in all months of the growing season; this trend was particularly evident in April, May, and August, when more than 80% of the territory displayed an increased demand for soil water. These changes, in combination with the earlier end of snow cover and the earlier start of the growing season (up to 20 days in some regions), led to increased actual evapotranspiration at the start of the growing season that tended to deplete the soil moisture earlier, leaving the soil more exposed to the impacts of rainfall variability. These results support concerns related to the potentially increased severity of drought events in Central Europe. The reported trend patterns are of particular importance with respect to expected climate change, given the robustness and consistency of the trends shown and the fact that they can be aligned with the existing climate model projections. Kubečka, Jan ; Matěna, Josef ; Čech, Martin ; Blabolil, Petr
Young-of-the-year pike fry was stocked artificially along the left bank of the reservoir Švihov in May 2016. In July 2016 fingerlings inhabited mostly the shallowest littoral. Densities ranged from 1 to 2 pc 100m coast in the dam part into 7-8 pieces per 100 m of the coast in the middle part. Sampling pike fingerlings in the littoral zone has a high efficiency (estimate 84%). Any other observations (installing traps, scuba diving, sampling electrode farther from shore) show that pike fry did not occur at greater depths than most shallow littoral to about half a meter. The densities of fry at the right and left bank of the reservoir apparently did not differ. Even very small pike are probably able to swim across the large reservoir. Of the 81 individuals of pike fry with food 77.8% had a fish prey, and 17.3% had insect larvae in the gut.

Pauerová, Eva ; Špaček, Jiří (referee) ; Loucká, Hana (advisor)
The thesis focuses on French linguistic devices in the communicative sphere of gastronomy. It is based on the analysis of written texts, in particular of recipes, menu cards and newspaper and magazine articles that contain dietary advice. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part dwells on the typological determination of texts; it is further divided into three sections. Firstly it deals with kitchen recipes, followed by texts containing nutritional advice and, further on, menu cards. Every section contains an analysis of the type of text in terms of communicative situation, while observing pragmatical conditions of the text formation focused on the target recipient and also devices used to express the communicative function. The following section concerns the discourse and its organization, i.e. the scrutiny of specific stylistic methods used in the texts. The general analysis is concluded by the examination of linguistic devices of the texts, observing both the morfosyntactical and the lexical plan. Finally, a number of authentic texts is treated in the same way, with a discussion of the pragmatical plan, discursive plan and linguistic devices.
