This bachelor thesis will research how kids from 7 to 15 years improve in climbing on climbing wall, specifically at performance depending on time when the children actively climb. Performance will be based on whether a particular kid has improved in climbing a rated boulder and rope route. To be this improve perticeptible, there has to be time distance in which the kid has possibility to make progress in technical and physical abbilities. This time gap between first and second performances measurements was 10 months. The research took place in sport center climbing wall Třináctka in Prague, Lužiny. Compared performances were obtained by measuring performances of the respondents who regularly participate their climbing course. These performances and their difference which represented improvement or deterioration was subsequently processed in Microsoft Excel. The theoretical part includes description of wall climbing and other types of climbing depending on surface where is this sport practises. It also includes the informations about history, safety, climbing equipment, evaluation and classification of routes. It relates with events in climbing. Sports and Relaxation Centre Za Lužánkami, Brno
Julínek, Roman ; Kotek, arch Jakub (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor)
The architectural-urban study of the sports and recreational centre Za Lužánkami in Brno deals with the complex design of the sports and recreational complex. At present, the area of the former Boby Centre is in a poor condition. Fully functioning buildings in the area are a hotel, a concert hall and a tennis hall with outdoor courts, while the remaining buildings and areas, led by the football stadium, are dilapidated and do not fulfil their potential for public life. I approached the assignment as a solution to a complicated problem with many variables. The design provides a clear definition and morphology of the buildings, living, sports and recreational areas, including green spaces. It helps to social interaction and induce new contacts between people. It addresses the needs of current and future generations of residents. Connects and links to the transport infrastructure of the neighbourhood at all levels. Refers to the past and thus preserves in all respect the famous sporting genius of the locus to which it adds its own distinctive added value. Based on the design concept, a study has been carried out that takes advantage of a quality site in an attractive location in the city and offers a range of sports and recreational facilities. The main idea behind the design was to connect and relate the area to its surroundings. To offer a high quality public realm that will appeal to as many residents as possible across all generations through its range of functions and focus. Proportionate to its size and importance, several masses and objects were designed to divide the large area into smaller interconnected units. Each area has its own face, its own content and its own typical atmosphere that will win over its users. A good public space can be recognised by the way its users treat it. It becomes a mirror of society. If the design listens to the wishes and needs of the majority of the inhabitants, it becomes useful and sustainable at any time.

Title: The bussines plan for building a climbing centre in Velim Objectives: The main objective of the Bachelor thesis is to make a bussines plan for building a climbing center in Velim. The theoretical part will summarize and describe the theoretical basis for the practical part. In the practical part, I will first determine profitability from an entrepreneurial perspective in terms of costs and anticipated revenues. The first partial objective is to create individual analysis, especially analysis of competition, whereas the second partial objective is implementation of the project into the non-profit sector. Part of this objective will be the creation of a climbing club. Methods: For the theoretical analysis of the work, descriprive analysis of all sources was used. For the practical part, I used descriptive analysis of basic concepts as well as SWOT, PEST and competition analysis. It was necessary to find a suitable location and create a business plan. I also contacted the owners of some clombing centres to learn more about fundings they received, their legal forms of the business, and average visitor traffic. Results: The results will be usefull for the possible realisation of the climbing centre, be it by me or someone else. According to calculations in chapter 7, I found the wall to be...
Sports and Relaxation Centre Vsetín, Ohrada
Marková, Dominika ; Kotek, arch Jakub (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor)
The assignment is an architecture and urban planning study of a sports and recreation center. The solved area is located in the town of Vsetín, in the part called Ohrada. Nowdays, the area is obsolete, unfunctional and also unmodern. My project is mainly focused to create a concept that responds to the environment, offers outdoor and indoor spaces for all generations. It allows better connection with nature, variable use, and division of area by function. The design is defined by the river Bečva on the west side and a busy 1st class road on the east side. It was important to separate pedestrians and cyclists from motor vehicles. The response to this restriction is to direct traffic in the area to the west, towards the river. This creates a terrain works that optically deflects the design in a quieter direction. Buildings are placed in the line and oriented in the western direction. After creating the terrain, I divided the area into several segments according to functionality. In the heart of the area, a multifunctional central hall with an inner climbing wall is set in the terrain. In front of it is a public space for meetings, sports and recreation. On the other side, there is a basketball court, a workout playground, a children's playground in front of the hall and a rest area of ??greenery closer to the river. If we continue southerly down, another cube set into the terrain is a building with a restaurant and a cafe. The southernmost building is a tennis club with facilities for athletes and squash. In front of the building there is a 9x tennis court with a grandstand. Closer to the river and the bike path there is an outdoor climbing wall. From the newly created embankment, the area is divided by a cycle path around the river. Behind the bridge is a green belt separated area which, unlike the previous ones, is tuned in a calmer spirit. We will find a building of a yoga and meditation center.

Kraví hora - BUT Family silver
Peštálová, Lucie ; Dvořák, Miloš (referee) ; Nový, Alois (advisor)
The subject of the diploma thesis is to design a project study and a building program that would become a compromise between the requirements of the city of Brno and BUT in the area of Kraví hora in the Brno city center. The city of Brno would like to transform the area into a public park. But BUT considers it as its "family silver" because they realize its extraordinary value. Options of a constructions are really limited because of many area regulations. My proposal counts on the demolition of all existing buildings in the area, respects property area relations , protection zone, continuity with existing traffic roads, height regulation, imaginary raster of surrounding buildings, slope of terrain and orientation to the cardinal points. My suggest represents a study of five groups of objects which creating a rectangular raster. As a compromise solution, I chose the presentation and promotional areas of the individual faculties of BUT for the content of the buildings. Faculties have spaces for hobby groups for the public comprise all age groups included. I also designed the BUT Museum of History, a multimedia hall, a cafeteria, studios, a student leisure center and an observation tower with a climbing wall.
