Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with total hip replacement. Objectives: The aim of this thesis was to summarize theoretical knowledge about the hip joint and total hip arthroplasty and the subsequent elaboration of a practical case study of physiotherapeutic care in a patient with this diagnosis. Methods: This thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part describes the hip joint's anatomical structure, osteoarthritis, coxarthrosis, and total hip arthroplasty. The practical part of the work contains a detailed case study of physiotherapeutic care for a patient after implantation of total hip arthroplasty. The case study includes anamnesis, entry kinesiological analysis, short-term and long-term therapeutic plan, therapy design, the record of individual therapeutic units, outcome kinesiological analysis, and evaluation of the effect of therapy. Results: Goals set by the short-term therapeutic plan have been met within the performed therapeutical units. In particular, the patient achieved a reduction in pain in the area of the operated joint, an increase in the range of motion, an increase in the muscular strength of weakened muscles, and an adjustment of the walking stereotype. Title: The Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient after total hip replacement. Objectives: The main aim of this work was to summarize theoretical and practical knowledge about total hip replacement and to process a case study of a patient with this diagnosis. Methods: This work consists of two main parts - general and special part. The general part contains information about hip joint anatomy and kinesiology, coxarthrosis, congenital hip dysplasia, total hip replacement and rehabilitation after total hip replacement. A special part is processed in the form of a case study of a patient after implantation of total hip replacement. It includes anamnesis, entry kinesiological examination, goals of short-term and long-term therapeutic plan, description of therapeutic units, outcome kinesiological examination and a final evaluation of the effect of therapy. Results: The goals of the short-term therapeutic plan were fulfilled. During the therapy, soft tissues were relaxed, the muscle tone of the hypertonic muscles was reduced, the range of motion in the joints of the lower limbs increased, the joint play restored, the weakened muscles strengthened, the shortened muscles stretched and the gait improved. Keywords: total hip replacement, arthroplasty, hip joint, coxarthrosis, physiotherapy, case study

Thesis title: Rehabilitation after Total Hip Replacement. Aim: To examine and better understand the human hip joint, coxarthrosis, total hip replacement and the subsequent rehabilitation care. This thesis consists of a case study (special part) and a theoretical part. The subject of the case study is a 71-year-old male patient who underwent a total hip replacement due to coxarthrosis and received physiotherapy after the surgery. The case study is composed of the anamnesis of the patient, and the details of the initial kinesiological examination, final kinesiological examination, and therapeutic procedures the patient underwent. The theoretical part contains basic theoretical knowledge, such as the anatomy and kinesiology of hip joint, clinical details of coxarthrosis, basics of total hip replacement, as well as some typical components of total hip replacement rehabilitation protocols. The patient showed some improvements after the therapy program. The aim of this thesis has been achieved.
