Set of Problems connected with Financing Pensions in the Czech Republic

The existing system in the Czech Republic is based on the continuous financing combined with the optional additional pension insurance. The pension reform in the Czech Republic is necessary. The basic reason is the developments of the demographic situation. It will be necessary to ensure that the new pension system is financially sustainable.

This bachelor thesis describes pensionable system, Czech additional pension insurance and Slovak additional retirement saving. There is represented a specific development of these two savings, their advantages and disadvantages. Than a comparison follows and also mutually target of these two systems. At the end is a summary and comparasion of both systems.
Life insurance and pension reforme

This paper focuses on the analysis of the Czech pension system identifying reasons for its financial non-sustainability. These reasons are outlined in the chapter on the demographic situation. Further chapters analyse the pension reform and its follow-up stages which are needed for the system to be functional. Substantial space is devoted to life insurance, individual types of insurance and the analysis of the current situation on the market which is soon going to be affected by the current pension reform. The last part of the Bachelor's paper deals with supplementary pension schemes whose role on the Czech market is very important as they ensure additional income in the post-active age. It is the second phase of the pension reform in particular which will have a significant impact on supplementary pension schemes.
Life insurance and its role in dealing with people's financial security in old age

The main topic of this bachelor thesis is the role of life insurance in dealing with people's financial security in old age. The first part of the thesis applies to demographics and aging of population. The following section describes the state pension system, its pillars, weaknesses and possible solutions. The second part concerns life insurance itself. It focuses on the definition of the life insurance, its advantages and categorizations. Chapters of three types of the life insurance follow -- namely the pensionary life insurance, the investment life insurance and the capital life insurance. I will outline suitable reinsures and dissimilarities to another types of products offered in financial and capital markets. At the end I will characterize trends and the future of the life insurance in the Czech Republic.
Comparison of Pensionable systems and reform concepts of Czech Republic and Germany

This paper targets the analysis of pensionable systems and proposals for their reformation for Czech Republic and Germany. These systems are built up on the same principle - continuous financing. Regardless this facticity my endeavour is to prove and to point out to similar and different characters of these systems. For centuries Germany have played very important role in Czech history. We can say that Germany affected today's present in our republic. This paper tries to show mutual coherence between these two pensionable systems. My analysis accentuates conformity and difference in historical development, contemporary structure of these systems, instituted reforms and political proposals for future development. The first part analyzes basic theory. The second part compares pensionable systems in Czech Republic and in Germany.

Life insurance and reform of pension system

This diploma work is concerned with the analysis of life insurance. In addition to this it also touches upon retirement insurance in the Czech Republic as a possible tool of maintaining a financially secure standard of living in the old age in connection to the current reform of the pension system. What is paid attention to in the analysis is the pension system itself and also the demographic progress as the main cause of the insufficiency of the present-day pension system. Next, there follows an analysis of the proposals and the conclusive verison of the pension reform as well as of the way in which it will affect the life insurance market in our country. The final part of the work deals with the products of life and pension insurance and offers a comparison between these. The goal of this work is to clarify the the pension system itself and the pension reform, to point out the necessity of individual ex-ante savings and last but not least to bring in the possible products available on the market.
Supplementary pension insurance and its connection with the pension reform

Tato práce se zabývá aktuální problematikou českého důchodového systému. Jeho současná podoba nevyhovuje stávajícím podmínkám a z dlouhodobého hlediska není finančně udržitelná. Hlavní příčinu spatřujeme v nepříznivém demografickém vývoji. Jednou z možností, jak tuto situaci vyřešit, je reforma spočívající v zavedení povinného fondového pilíře k nynějšímu PAYG systému. Tento fondový pilíř vychází z penzijního připojištění. Práce dále pojednává o způsobu fungování, financování, otázce povinnosti, dobrovolnosti a bezpečnosti nové kapitálové části důchodového systému.
