Dwelling and drifting in space. Landscape in the poetry of Ted Hughes and Kenneth White

This study was originally motivated by a desire to bring together a personal predilection for both landscape(s) and the study of literature, to merge the affective and the cognitive with the more analytical. An attempt to write a critical study about landscape in poetry, however, is bound to encounter difficulties as it is bound to ask questions. As Chris Fitter suggests in his book Poetry, space, landscape, the subject offers multiple approaches and tends to spread innumerable strands linking often disparate areas. On the other hand, one may ask a subversive question, namely whether nature and landscape poetry is not somewhat anachronistic at the turn of the second millenium. It must have seemed so when Terry Gifford, in 1995, opened his book Green Voices3 with a polemical statement: "Nature poetry is having a bad time". He was referring to the previous decade during which allegedly the 'spirit of post-modernism' had changed the preoccupations of poetry and which was marked by such statements of reviewers and editors of poetry anthologies as: "We seem to have lost out nature poets", "We don't publish much landscape poetry" or "Ted Hughes is a remarkable writer but no longer the presiding spirit of British poetry". 4 The very title of Gifford' s book, however, indicates a new impetus behind contemporary...

Návrh strategie vinařství Velkopavlovické podoblasti

The aim of a diploma thesis is a proposal strategy of Velké Pavlovice wine subregion. PESTE analysis is used for analysing a macro environment. Micro environment is judged by primary characteristics of a sector and five forces analysis. Moreover, the analysis of attractiveness of the wine sector in Velké Pavlovice subregion is performed. The internal analysis is described by value chain and financial analysis. Strategies are designed by SPACE matrix. From nine recommended strategies is chosen the best one - Focus on winery touristic. The chosen strategy is economically evaluated and it is recommended to engage in Moravian Wine Trails project. General validity of the chosen strategy is determined for other wine subjects in Velké Pavlovice subregion.

Attempt for Analysis of Sport Performance Structure in Flatwater Canoeing in the Men's 1000m K1 Discipline

Název práce: Pokus o analýzu struktury sportovního výkonu v rychlostní kanoistice v disciplíně Kl 1000 m muži. Title: Attempt to analysis of sport performance structure in flatwater canoeing in the discipline ofKl men 1000 m. Cíle práce: Hlavním cílem této diplomové práce je zjistit, jaké vztahy mají jednotlivé faktory struktury sportovního výkonu k výkonnosti vrcholových kajakářů v disciplíně Kl 1000 metrů. Metody zpracování dat: Práce je založena na korelačním výzkumu - jako závisle proměnnou hodnotu jsme použili výsledný čas sportovního výkonu na trati 1000 metrů, nezávisle proměnné jsou výsledné hodnoty jednotlivých parametrů testových baterií, kterými jsme zjišťovali kvalitu jednotlivých faktorů. Pro zjištění statistické závislosti mezi sportovním výkonem na trati 1000 metrů a jednotlivými faktory sportovního výkonu byl použit Pearsonův korelační koeficient, regresní analýzu a shlukovou analýzu. Výsledky: Znalost struktury sportovního výkonu ve vybrané sportovní disciplíně umožňuje při porovnání s poznatky v literatuře zlepšovat práci trenérů, zkvalitňovat tréninkový proces a tím zvýšit sportovní výkonnost v příslušné disciplíně. Structural Change in the Course of Economic Development

This thesis strives to identify patterns of structural change while using panel data from 38 countries and 9 economic sectors for the period from 1950 to 2005. Based on mutual correlations between individual countries, two different methods for identifying structural change patterns are designed. The first one assumes constant rate of structural change over time and uses the entire time spans provided in the dataset. Second selects for each economy only certain country-periods with significant structural transformation and looks for similarities in sequencing of these country-periods between individual countries. The classical agriculture-manufacturing pattern is dominant, but significant successful patterns mainly with growing financial and transportation sectors and falling personal and government services are also discovered. In order to provide more complex perspective, proximity maps are drawn with position of each country representing its development path relative to other economies. Lastly, relationship between structural change and economic growth is proven and further examined by listing several stylized facts about the structural transformation, which are evaluated using the provided data.

The aim of this work is to create research for furniture used in public interiors, particularly in restaurants. In this work the emphasis is on satisfying ergonomics not only for direct users, but for service too and many other factors, which are analyse in the work for the goal of creating interior. The specific aim is to maximum use of interior space by best possible way carefully and in affordable implementation. The result is a layout for a restaurant interior Poesie in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, which should be realized in later.

Bio-impedance - using in meat production

The thesis has been processed articles dealing with the appropriateness of using bioimpedance method using measurement of electrical conductivity (EV) to evaluate the meat quality of pork and beef. It was further investigated the suitability of this method for the detection of PSE (pale, soft, exudative) and DFD (dark, firm, dry) defects, especially defects of PSE pigs for slaughter. Was found optimal level of measurement time EV, as when the best time seems to be EV measurement time from 50 to 60 minutes post mortem. It was also found that measuring the EV 24 hours post mortem is as informative as a pH sufficient for 24 hours after slaughter. This method was used to assess the influence of the length of pigs for slaughter and rest before slaughter on the occurrence of PSE defects, where the highest incidence of this defect occurred in slaughter pigs to transport distances of up to 20 km and rest prior to slaughter up to 2 hours. From the measurement results shows the suitability of this method to determine the quality parameters of beef directly in the slaughterhouse. The advantage of EV measurement method versus pH is easy to handle with the electrode, no propensity to mechanical damage and there is no need for frequent calibration of the electrode.

Self-help Support Groups for People With Substance Abuse in Vysočina Region

Network services for people who are addicted to drugs are diverse in the Czech Republic. In individual regions there is different drug situations and the availability of professional services. Substitutable and other options for individuals, who would like to do something with their addiction, can be self-help support groups. In the Czech Republic there are various self-help support groups. Best known are Alcoholics Anonymous and others similar groups, based on the same pattern. These groups are completely independent and they are not guided by experts. The theoretical part deals with problems of substance abuse, addiction, the health care system for people abuse substances or addictive behavior and finally describes the history of self-help support groups and other incurred self-help support groups. The practical part focuses on the implementation of the research focused on the effect of self-help support groups in the region and to the characteristics of their members. The research aims to map the function of self-help support groups for people with substance abuse in the region Vysočina and also describes groups and their members in terms of their characteristics and sociodemographic data. Hypoxia of the brain as well as the subsequent reperfusion can seriously alter the tissue microenvironment and result of the functional and structural changes of nerve and glial cells. Results of experimental studies show that some ions (e.g. Mg2+) can interfere with the brain development. To answer the question whether magnesium can modulate changes of neuronal circuits induced by hypoxia and reperfusion effect of magnesium administration on the density of nitrergic neurons (NO synthesising neurons) in the rats exposed to repeated hypoxia during the postnatal ontogeny (12, 25, and 35-day-old) was studied. NO synthesising neurons were identified according to the presence of NADPH-diaphorase (NADPH-d), the enzyme co-localized with NO synthase. Results have shown that the long-lasting intermittent hypobaric hypoxia brings about the increase of the density of NADPH-diaphorase positive neurons in all studied regions of the hippocampus in 12-day-old animals, in 25-day-old only in the hilus of the dentate gyrus, and in 35-day-old in CA1, CA3 hippocampal regions and in the ventral blade of the dentate gyrus. Jakub František Prokyš The bachelor work Jakub František Prokyš is intent on a successful painter who lived in the 18th century. He originally came from Slaný but his life fate took him into culturally developing South Bohemia. It was a great chance for him. Strongly flourishing Schwarzenberg's family were establishing their position in Bohemia not only by buying new areas but as well as by improving their former and newly gained dominion. That is why the Schwarzenbergs employed a lot of important architects, painters and sculptors. Jakub František Prokyš was among them. Everything has not been cleared up about Prokyš´ destiny up today. There are a lot of questions which answers we are still looking for. Basically, until to his coming to South Bohemia we do not have real data about his life and apprenticeship. Even in his South Bohemian life many questions are hidden. It is the most remarkable to follow how respectable person could become from a quite unknown artist. He got among notable people. He earned enough money to be able to buy his own house and take care of his family during his life. However, professional success was changed by family tragedies. He was a great fresco painter as well as he could paint even altar paintings. It is strange that his very early works are considered to be his best ones. Those were ordered by Joseph Adam Schwarzenberg. The most space is devoted to those works of art in my bachelor work. The aim of the work is my attempt at closer outlline of Prokyš´not well recognized life.

A study of the properties of compacts from directly compressible fructose.

In this work is studied mechanical strenght an disintegration time of tablets from direct compressed fructose - Advantose ™ FS 95, prepared by coprocessing method of spray- drying of fructose and a small amount of starch and its mixture with microcrystalline cellulose Vivapur 102 in the ratio of 1:1 according to the compression force 10, 12,5 and 15 kN, addition of two lubricants (magnesium stearate, Pruv) in the same concentration 1% and addition of two model active substances (acetylsalicylic acid and ascorbic acid) in the concentration 50%. Used compression force for compression of mixtures with active substances was 12,5kN. There was no statistically significant difference in values of mechanical strenght of tablets from Advantose FS 95 in terms of type of used lubricant except for the compression force 10 kN. Tablets from the mixture of Advantose FS 95 and Vivapur 102 in the ratio of 1:1 had higher mechanical strenght than the tablets only from Advantose FS 95 . Nevertheless the mechanical strenght was markedly lower by the addition of lubricants and more by the addition of magnesium stearate. Disintegration time was prolonged by the addition of lubricants in the case of tablets with Advantose FS 95 and its mixture with Vivapur 102.
