Volleyball as a part of P.E. lesson at grammar schools

Volleyball as a part of P.E. lesson at grammar schools Summary The aim of this thesis is to summarize issues about teaching volleyball during P.E. lessons at grammar schools. The core of this work lies in the empirical part, whose goal is to answer research questions about the form and the extent of teaching volleyball, students' preferences concerning this sport, and determining a methodical model of teaching volleyball. In the theoritical part you can find basic rules, six basic skills, information about formations and combinations, which are used in the game. The research part deals with determining of various hypothesis and they are either confirmed or disproven. The research methods used in this section are a questionnaire and an experiment itself. The last methodical part analyses training units of the experiment. As a result, voleyball lessons for boys at grammar schools are covered. The main contribution in this part is the elaboration of a model program consisting of 12 training units, which can be used by teachers in P.E. lessons. Sports slang and variability - the emivonment of volleyball

The subject of this thesis is the in time variability of sport slang, namely from the environment of volleyball. In Západočeská vlastivěda devoted to language from 1992 I found a study by Marie Terčová focused on sport slang. Slang of sport shooting and volleyball are compared there. The study also includes a dictionary of volleyball slang from 1987 comprising about 444 entries. I decided to compare the vocabulary of 1987 and contemporary. It was necessary to gather the expressions used by contemporary speakers to contemporary dictionary and then compare the two of them. The initial hypotheses were a higher number of expressions in the older dictionary and also higher number of synonymy expressions, changes in the meanings of many of words. Next hypotheses were a higher concentration of borrowed words in the contemporary dictionary and the majority of transpositional mechanisms in the creation of expressions. The last hypothesis was, that the meaning of the expressions occurring in the older dictionary only, are unknown to contemporary speakers. The former four were discussed by the comparison, the last one by a questionnaire.

Volleyball game action in response to changes of the rules when using the new rule libero

In my bachelor work I investigate the volleyball game action in response to changes of the rules in application of the new libero rule and in relation to removal games losses system. I summarize here history and basic concepts related to volleyball for their needin further investigation. I perform an analysis of three observed games, where every game is a sample of the developmental period in the rules of volleyball. Obtained datafor clearness are transformed into graphic form and here I determine theirinterdependence in order to find general relations between key variables describing thevolleyball match. As a secondary objective I will determine the average height of playersin the position of libero and conclude appropriate consequences from this.

Training technical - tactical site of volleyball players in youth categories

Title: Training technical - tactical site of volleyball players in youth categories Aims: The aim of my dissertation is to to create a battery of drills and exercises technical and tactical game activities of the individual sites and compare results before and after the three-month specialized training. The task is to collect knowledge about technical skills and tactic in volleyball and their development by young players by studying appropriate literature. The next task is to accumulate a resource of preparatory and game exercise as well as preparatory games, which contribute to the development of technical skills and tactic and the coach this exercise involved in training at least once a week for three months. And comparing the results of input and output measurements, which will assess the individual player skills in the technical and tactical skills and combinations. Methods: 1. analysis of literary sources 2. description of collected knowledge 3. interpretation of literary knowledge into praktice 4. watching the players and the comparative method to evaluate the development of performance players (cadet) in the technical - tactical tests Outcome: Knowledge about the characteristics of technical skills and tactic and their development in practice and training of young volleyball players. Analysis of the set in chosen volleyball matches in Champion League 2009/2010

In this work we have tried to make analysis of specialized activity of setter's sets. Our research observed five setters from the best european club competitions- Michal Sládeček, Raphael Vieira de Oliveiro, Lukasz Zygadl, Sergey Grankyn and Simon Fischer. The analysis of their game performance in six Champion League matches 2009/2010 was focused on quality of the set, its frequency into particular directions and kind of the set from two different qualities of reception. We also concentrated on laying-out of sets and their qualities until the first sequence. For gathering objective information we used a method of indirect observation. We also had video recordings of all six chosen Champion League matches 2009/2010.Conclusions and results of the thesis could be used during the training process, mainly to improve game activities of an individual. In concrete terms we focused on the position of a setter who works as a prolonged hand of a trainer and is influenced by his commands from the point of view of tactics. This work could refer to the right and tactical laying-out of sets in matches and importance of quality of the set. TITLE: The development of voleyball rules and its influence on the gameplay and combinations ABSTRACT: The goal of my thesis is to study the influence of changes in volleyball rules on the developement of game systems and game combinations. In this paper I will attempt to answer and discuss the following scientific question: What influence have changes of the volleyball rules had on the developement of game systems and game combinations. I will chart the developement of volleyball rules from 1950 until present. I will study how the parametres of the playing field and its surroundings have changed. I will chart the developement of volleyball equipment, mainly the volleyball net and the ball. Based on studying the changes of volleyball rules, I will compare the developement of game systems and game combinations. I will compare the lengths of the games based on the changes of the rules.
