The Quality of services of The Prague Public Transit Co. Inc. and possibilities of its improving.

This Bachelor's thesis deals with the quality of public transport services. The aim is to assess the quality of services of The Prague Public Transit Co. Inc., by the means of identification of the problems associated with it from the customers'point of view and to suggest a possible improvement through solving problems. To fulfil this objective a questionnaire was used in research among customers of the business as well as the results of measurements made by the firm itself. At the end, there are solutions proposed to the problems.

Logistic processes and activities in a construction company

In my Bachelor's thesis, I am concerned with purchasing processes, storing and transportation activities and information systems used in the construction company. I focus on defining the processes and activities and their usage in the firm's operation shown on practical examples from Mota-Engil. I characterize logistics generally and also the business logistics. Important are the specific aspects of building industry, which determine the course of its logistics. It differs from other branches in many characteristics, for example from manufacturing companies with mass production which are frequently used for the modeling of logistic operations. I analyze and work with data from researches, statistical surveys and my own observations. On the basis of the findings, I explain current situation, assess possible solutions and suggestions of adjustments.

Delivery modes of courier and transport companies

A great number of transport and courier companies exist in Czech Republic. Each of these companies offers their customers the opportunity to send all kinds of shipment to places located in our country or almost anywhere in the world. This thesis is divided into two main parts. In the first part, there is a theoretical description of two models of distribution tasks, which are relevant in terms of transport and courier services. After this theoretical description the approximation of the models to reality is made. Individual parts of the models are described on a particular situation in two different companies. The second part of the thesis presents a brief overview of courier and transport companies and the description of delivery modes from which customers can choose. Companies such as the international company DHL, PPL, Česká pošta and EPS are mentioned. Both parts of work focus on the description of time windows and penalizations associated with them.

Groupage service in maritime transportation and export from Czech Republic

The topic of this thesis is groupage service in maritime transportation and its use for export out of Czech Republic. In the theoretical and methodological part I am defining the main terms in maritime transportation and maritime transportation in general. In the thesis I am describing the role of maritime transportation in the Czech Republic emphasized by statistics. Further I am writing about containerization and main container types because those are very important for the groupage service. In the practical part I am describing the processes of exports groupage service (LCL) within company Austromar spol. s r.o. on which I am applying business cases to to show how those processes work in reality. One of the business cases is transportation of hazardous material. In the last part of thesis I am comparing the direct and non-direct container with example of the freight charges calculation.

The use of logistics in international trade on the example of chosen logistics company

This diploma thesis deals with the logistics and its use in international trade, which is applied to the example of chosen logistics provider- the company ČD Cargo, a leading Czech rail carrier. The aim of the thesis is to characterize the logistics company and the services that provides, to analyze its activity and summarize its operation on the market. The first chapter deals with the logistics and specific types of logistics providers. The second chapter is devoted to mostly provided logistics services in international trade. The next chapter deals with transportation, main modes of transport and transport market in the Czech Republic, because the transportation is the major activity of the chosen company. The fourth chapter is closer focused on ČD Cargo, its foundation and mostly the services that the company provides to its customers. The last part of the thesis analyzes the position of ČD Cargo on the transport market and its activity in individual years of its operation.

Analysis of establishing an air route

The objective of the thesis was to focus on all the necessary requirements needed at first for establishing an airline company and then for establishing a regular air route. The thesis also contains a practical part - an analysis of Delta Air Lines company and her two already operated direct and regular air routes Prague - New York and Prague - Atlanta. The thesis has through the company focused on description of operating passenger air transportation from the point of view a network airliner. Part of the objective was to show the contemporary state of the air transportation branch and outlining its possible future development with regard to the chosen airline company.

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the current transportation practices in Geis CZ s.r.o. with regard to the use of transport resources and to ensuring adequate levels of service. The thesis covers theoretical knowledge related to its topic; its practical part deals with the tranportation practices in Geis CZ s.r.o. České Budějovice. The practical part contains basic information about the analyzed company, its history, partners, services provided and the company{\crq}s competition as well. At the end, the section provides suggestions for improvement and to deal with problems which the company is currently facing.
