Localization and Navigation of Tello Unmanned Aircraft
Panský, Michal ; Chromý, Adam (referee) ; Gábrlík, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of a suitable solution to control the unmanned aircraft Ryze Tello for use in autonomous missions. Its content is to familiarize and test all available SDKs and all the features they offer. Introduction to the location and navigation of robots in indoor spaces. Then there is described ROS and its implementation for the problem using the available SDK with instructions for installation and launch of the practical part. At the end of the work are displayed data obtained during the unmanned aircraft flight and the structure of the communication system, a description of the problems encountered during testing and a discussion of possible extension to this solution.
Legal regulation of unmanned aircraft operation in Czech republic
Čabrádek, Michal ; Staša, Josef (advisor) ; Handrlica, Jakub (referee)
Legal regulation of unmanned aircraft operation in Czech republic Abstract The thesis analyzes and describes the regulation framework of civilian unmanned aircraft vehicles, more often referred to as drones. Its aim in particular is to examine the EU legislation of 2018 and 2019, which newly affects the operation of unmanned aircraft vehicles and largely replaces the current national legislation. Emphasis is placed mainly on the comparison of individual institutes and standards of the EU and national legislation and on further analysis of the fundamental changes that the new EU legislation contains. The first chapter describes the historical development of the unmanned aircraft technology from 1849 to the present. It focuses on the characteristics of individual development stages, that led to the current state of this technology. The second chapter provides an overview and analysis of various legislation sources of the unmanned aircraft regulation. The chapter discusses both sources of international law and international organizations active in the field of civil aviation, sources of European Union law and sources of national law. Third and most comprehensive chapter is divided into five subchapters, each dealing with a certain aspect of the unmanned aircraft operation. Attention is paid first to unmanned...
Usage of drones in the Logistics of the company SKODA AUTO a.s.
Čajko, Adam ; Jirsák, Petr (advisor) ; Vinš, Marek (referee)
This Master´s Thesis Usage of drones in the Logistics of the company SKODA AUTO a.s. reacts to the current trend of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) which are being used in many areas. Aim of this thesis is to analyse laws which regulate the operation of drones in selected countries, to assess suitability of drones for specific process of inventory of empty containers in the company SKODA AUTO a.s. and to suggest an alternative solution for this process. Thesis investigates usage of drones in the Logistics mainly for goods delivery and stock inventory. Mass drone delivery is currently not feasible due to many problems and challenges. Stock inventory has become a reality. Analysis of legislation is focused on EU, Czech Republic, Germany and China. Technology for inventory of empty containers using drones in SKODA AUTO a.s. has a long payback period (21 years) and author does not recommend drones for this process based on this criterion. As an alternative solution, the technology designed at AUDI company is recommended (camera placed on forklift and software for automated container identification).
Design of unmanned aerial vehicle for insect aeroplankton collection
Laws Concerning Drone Use in the Real Estate Practice
Klementová, Tereza ; Jandásková, Tereza (referee) ; Klika, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis focuses explores the laws for drone use in the real estate practice. In each chapter, the legislation for the commercial use of drones is described for the following states - the Czech Republic, Slovakia, France, Belgium, the Great Britain and the United States of America. In the final chapter there is a comparison of different law aspects from all studied countries.
Expansion of Skydog Aircraft Model Control System by Remote and Autonomous Control by Android Application
Boček, Michal ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
The thesis aims to design and implement an Android application with ability to control the autopilot of the Skydog aircraft model using the wireless telemetry. The application shall receive data from an aircraft model gathered from various installed sensors. These data shall be then processed and corresponding instructions for autopilot shall be sent back. When collision with terrain or obstacle is detected, the application shall send instructions to autopilot to avoid such collision. RRT algorithm is used to find collision-free flight trajectory. Database of known obstacles and digital terrain model are provided to application in formats XML and GeoTIFF respectively.
Control and Position Stabilization of a Small Flying Drone
Martinec, Adrián ; Zamba, Martin (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to create a drone in a form of a plane, driven by autopilot. I have solved the selected issues using a theory of flight and regulators from an automatization area. The text describes a functional solution. Unfortunately because of an accident, no final tests were performed. A contribution of this work is in exploring a functionality of various parts that are used with a drone building process. That includes a use of regulators and creation of libraries driving those parts.
Development opportunities and ensure the safety of remote-controlled aircraft (RPAS) in Czech Republic
Fixed-wing UAV simulation modeling
Příleský, Libor ; Mašek, Petr (referee) ; Krejsa, Jiří (advisor)
Nowadays number of UAVs is still increasing. If we want to design their autopilot system, we need a simulation model to test and tune our autopilot design. This thesis is about creating such model fo small fixed wing UAV. This thesis contain information how to create the model, which equations to use and what various parameters mean. One of the possibilities is parameter identification from measured data. In later part of this paper is a small research of this topic and implementation of two of them. Virtual model, which is obtained at the end of this work, accomplished its primary goal and was used to initial autopilot design. Implemented identification methods worked as well, but we didn't succeed in upgrading the model parameters due to the defects during the data measurement.
Micro UAV certification for CR airspace
Sobotka, Vojtěch ; Janhuba, Luboš (referee) ; Pejchar, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis maps the unmanned aircraft system operation legislation valid in the Czech Republic. It contains a summaries of design and operation restrictions of these systems and radio frequency bands suitable for operating them. It deals with the matter of legal responsibility for damage caused by unmanned aircraft system operation and the matter of possible violation of personal data protection. It includes a summary of common EU unmanned aircraft system legislation and its expected future development. The preparation of the documentation necessary for VUT 720 unmanned airrcaft system registration and certification is also part of this thesis.
