Breeder and economic evaluation of selected goat breed
CHVOSTOVÁ, Martina
The research was done during 2004 {--} 2006 on ecological farm specialised for Czech white shorthaired goat. Milk production per lactation period was in 2004 390 kgs, in 2005 381 kgs. It was deeply below average. In 2006 it grew up to 678 kgs that was only little below average of 707 kgs in Czech Rep. The average day milk yield was that year 2,5 kg per goat. This breed has very low fertility in longterm. Farm match the requirements of financial health. In 2006 was the income per one goat 24 818 CZK and variable costs 17 310 CZK per goat.
Eating habits of Secondary School Pupils in the Region of Hodonín.
VAŠÍČKOVÁ, Barbora
This thesis deals with the eating habits of students in primary schools. Characterized by the older school age. It describes the basic components of food and the recommended dose in adolescence. It examines the real income of the basic components of food and energy intakes for pubescents. The results are processed and presented in the practical part of thesis.
Present possibilities of protein concentrates production from plant sources
KRISTINOVÁ, Helena
The aim of the bachelor thesis was gather information about present possibilities of proteins concentrates production from plant sources. I focused on dried pea (Pisum sativum L.), soybean (Glycine soja) and potato tuber (Solanum tuberosum L.). The protein concentrates from leguminous plants are produced by three basic processes, i.e. acid leasing (at ~pH 4.5), extracting with aqueous alcohol (60 - 90%), and denaturing the protein with moist heat before extraction with water. Pea protein is prepared from pulverized beans or shelled peas by dry or wet treatment. The acquired protein is used in food and feed industry. Soy protein concentrates are prepared from dehulled and defatted soybeans by removing most of the water-soluble, nonprotein constituents. Soy proteins are mostly used in the bakery, in the meat processing industry, in the production of dairy products and healthy food products. Proteins are used in many food products as emulsifiers. The most potatoes are grown for direct consumption, for processing into the food products and for processing of starch is due to the allocated and restrictive quotas, a smaller proportion of cultivated potatoes. In the production of the starch arise a side product PFJ (potato fruit juice). In order to isolate proteins from potato fruit juice appears to be most efficient heat coagulation of steam injection, followed by separation and precipitation of proteins and their preservation by drying. This provides a final product which is offered as a protein feed for domestic and farm animals. Emulsifying properties of undenatured potato proteins have been studied quite intensively, only industrial production of denatured proteins is limited for the one producer in the EU.
Analysis of the role of PilA proteins in the cyanobacterium \kur{Synechocystis} sp. PCC 6803.
LINHARTOVÁ, Markéta
The PilA proteins are major components of pili fibres which are essential for motility in bacteria. This project was focused on the role of the PilA proteins in cyanobacteria, specifically in the alternative functions that are not directly related to motility. The major task of this project was also to develop a method for the purification of the PilA1 protein from Synechocystis under native conditions and to analyze purified PilA1 protein in detail.
Evaluation of protein variability among plant organs of Solanum tuberosum L.
ŠMÍDOVÁ, Michaela
The aim of the contritbution was to study potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) tuber protein concentration during growing season in dependence on actual ontogenesis stage of the potato plant. The changes in tuber protein concentration were studied on two potato cultivars - Adora (very early maturing) and Bionta (late maturing). The trial was established under field conditions on the site České Budějovice (380 m). Continuous ore sampling was aimed at following parameters evaluation: average tuber weight, dry matter concentration, crude protein concentration and protein concentration. Early maturing cultivar Adora showed rapid increasing of biomass from the start of ontogenesis and at the same time rapid decreasing of nitrogen compounds and pure protein concentration. The late maturing cultivar Bionta showed much more slow formation of biomass however the decreasing of nitrogen compounds and pure protein concentration was also recorded. Significant effect of ontogenesis stage on crude as well as pure protein concentration was evaluated. Significant effect on crude and pure protein concentration had also cultivar.

Bezouška, Karel ; Man, Petr ; Pompach, Petr ; Novák, P. ; Havlíček, Vladimír ; Hilgenfeld, R. ; Plíhal, Ondřej ; Sklenář, Jan ; Pišvejcová, Andrea ; Křen, Vladimír
According to the textbook knowledge the use of automated Edman degradation and protein mass spectrometry for the determination of complete primary stricture is limited to small proteins with molecular size less than 10 kDa.
Schizosaccharomyces pombe RPG1 protein causes G2/M delay in the cell cycle when overproduces in saccharomyces cerevisiae
Janatová, Ivana ; Koubek, Zdeněk ; Malínská, Kateřina ; Raková, Radka ; Hašek, Jiří
S. pombe rpg1 encodes a protein homologous to Rpg1p/Tif32p of S. cerevisiae, which is the large subunit of the translation initiation factorelF3 interacting with microtubules and actin functionally replace Rpg1p in deletion.
