Design of Portable 3D Scanner
Štigler, Jaroslav ; Rubínová, Dana (referee) ; Sovják, Richard (advisor)
The topic of this bachelor‘s thesis is design of handheld 3D scanner. This scanner belongs in the higher price category. This thesis deals with problems like long working time, watching monitor during scanning, versatility and safety measures from mechanical damage. Ergonomic solution is also very important. This design is based on a simple and functional shaping. Shaping and color solution corresponds with its use in industry. This scanner also can be used in other fields (for example: medical sector, design, archeology, etc.).
Using "reverse engineering" approach when making replica of Al casting by lost wax technology
Bezděk, Adam ; Cileček, Jarmil (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to produce a prototype casting of aluminum alloy with usage of reverse engineering technology. In a production process surface quality and dimensional accuracy was optimized. 3D scanning, FDM technology, ABSplus surface finishing possibilities and investment casting technology is introduced in theoretical part of this thesis. Practical part of the thesis includes description of original parts, their 3D scanning, usage of RE and RP, production of new castings and evaluation of their dimensional accuracy and surface roughness.
Prototype Part Design Using the Reverse Engineering Technology and Rapid Prototyping
Luňák, Václav ; Sámelová, Vendula (referee) ; Slaný, Martin (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis is dealing with the manufacturing process of a motorcycle turn signal part using the technologies of reverse engineering and rapid prototyping. The thesis contains a brief description of the available technological methods. The following chapters deal with designing the component and its preparation for casting. The component is manufactured using the FDM method. The quality check is performed by the ATOS 3D scanner, which compares the newly manufactured component to the original part. The next step is the preparation of a silicone mold, which is used to cast more parts. Finally, the cost-effectiveness of this method is compared to the method using metal molds.
Advanced Analysis of Control Flow in Malware
Porwolik, Tomáš ; Matula, Peter (referee) ; Ďurfina, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with the tool for decompilation of binary code to high-level programming language. This tool is being developed within the project Lissom. The aim of this work is the implementation of advanced analysis in control flow. This work is focused on reconstruction the switch statement and calling function through pointer. These problems are solved by adding new methods to control flow analysis. They are described in detail and solution is proposed, implemented and tested. Created solution allows reconstruct the switch statement in most cases and calling function through pointer in simpler cases. The contribution of this work is an improvement of the tool for decompilation in case that decompiled programs use these advanced structures.
Extension of Tool for Executable-File Analysis
Zavoral, Milan ; Ďurfina, Lukáš (referee) ; Matula, Peter (advisor)
This work deals with extension of a tool for executable-files analysis, which is a~part of a retargetable decompiler developed within the Lissom project. This thesis has two main goals. Firstly, it is necessary to analyze the original implementation of this tool and to find its drawbacks. Secondly, we have to implement a whole new tool without the lacks of its predecessor. This solution must be a full-featured analyzer of executable files. Within this thesis, we also focus on accuracy of compiler and packer detection. Among others, this task is achieved by using special heuristics technics of detection that can also recognize polymorphic packers. In the conclusion, the achieved results of this work and their contribution for the retargetable decompiler are discussed.
Decompilation of PowerPC Applications
Mišák, Ján ; Matula, Peter (referee) ; Ďurfina, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the implementing of decompilation of PowerPC applications feature into a decompiler´s front-end. It also contains basic information about PowerPC architecture and information about the Lissom decompiler, especially its front-end. The goal of this work is to implement a feature into the front-end of the decompiler, which provides decompilation of  PowerPC binaries. As a result of this bachelor thesis I have created and implemented a couple of analyses as a C++ classes and I have also fixed some earlier implemented code to achieve the required functionality.
Utilization of Compiler Information in Decompilation
Rudolf, Josef ; Ďurfina, Lukáš (referee) ; Křoustek, Jakub (advisor)
This thesis deals with the tool for decompilation of binary code into a higher level language, which is being developed as a part of the Lissom project. In this thesis, we present a method to improve efficiency of extraction of information from binary files, based on the detected compiler. Namely the extraction of parameters, return types and names of function from symbol names via the so-called demangling. As a part of this thesis, differences between mangling schemes of different compilers are compared. Afterwards, the implementation of the demangler is described and finally, demangler is tested and demangling success rate is compared for mangled names created by different compilers. The subsequent task is to propose and implement better integration of tools in preprocessing and front-end parts of the Lissom decompiler and optimize parameter distribution among them.
Code Analysis and Transformation
Křoustek, Jakub ; Masařík, Karel (referee) ; Meduna, Alexandr (advisor)
This paper describes methods and procedures used for code analysis and transformation. It contains basic information of a science discipline called reverse engineering and its use in information technologies. The primary objective is a construction of tool that can disassemble from binary form to symbolic machine code. This operation is highly dependent on the concrete instruction set, and it has to be used for a beforehand known processor architecture. This problem is solved with patterns, plug-ins, and modularity of disassembler. These features provide users the ability to add new instruction sets into this disassembler. The output is the text representation of instructions and is functionally equivalent to the in-put. The thesis demonstrates usual methods of disassembly as well as the methods made by the author.
Windows Software Protection Against Reverse Engineering
Korvas, Pavol ; Ďurfina, Lukáš (referee) ; Hruška, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with familiarization with the reverse engineering, the modalities of its use and misuse in practice and becoming familiar with existing tools to protect software and tools developed within the Lissom project. It also focuses on the analysis of existing methods of security breaches and the proposal of protection for Lissom project applications in collaboration with the license server for operating system Windows.
Interactive Disassembler
Mrva, Milan ; Přikryl, Zdeněk (referee) ; Křoustek, Jakub (advisor)
This thesis describes procedures and tools of reverse engineering in terms of software development. There are introduces different techniques of protection against decomposition of executables. The work also mentions some programs used for decomposition analysis. Furthermore it contains information about architecture of processing units, with emphasis on microprocessors Intel and Motorola. Variety of executable formats is shown. Generic retargetable disassembler was implemented. There is a description of its structure and plugins. These plugins represents three algorithms used for disassembling a program. One of them applies a multi-process parsing engine, which is an own design by author of the thesis. At the end, these techniques are compared and further development is outlined.
