Influence of the school environment for developing eating disorders gaze of ex-patient of Havlíčkobrodsko

This diploma thesis deals with eating disorders, their causes and displays. It is based on the assumption that former patients are able to assess what was the main cause of their problems. The theoretical part defines particular eating disorders, their history, risk factors of their emergence, diagnosis, epidemiology and health complications accompanying this diseases. The practical part focuses on obtaining information by friendly interview with open questions. The qualitative research includes case studies of six women, four of them are over the age of 20 years and two of them over the age of 40 years. The main objective was to discover how they were affected by the school environment in relation to her own body and what attitude do they have to the prospective prevention programs at our schools. The part with recommendations tries to enlarge already existing prevention programs at schools. There are some proposals for cooperation between schools and professional institutions, workshops with patients and some suggestions to lessons of Health education. Further there are mentioned some projects focused on interpersonal relationships and healthy lifestyle. Finally, there are some suggestions focused on education of teachers and parents of students in the prevention of ED.
Eating disorders as one of the aspects of self-harm

Annotation: Bachelor's dissertation discuss about eating disorders, its caise and medical treatment. Dissertation is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. In the first part, we will get to know a complex information about eating disorders issue. In the second one, we will find a research based on quality interview method. Interviews are processed with casuistry and grounded theory.
Education to Anorexia? Women suffering from eating disorders narrate about their Family environment - qualitative research

This thesis describes the relation between eating disorders and the patients' or their relatives' interpretation of family environment. The author aims to reveal differences in the educational philosophy applied in the upbringing of patients with mental anorexia or mental bulimia. First of all the terms "family environment" and "educational style" are defined using the Lewin typology. It is based on the assumption that mental anorexia is aligned with strict education causing strict behaviour when being on diet while mental bulimia is associated with less strict education reflecting itself in an imperfect compliance with the diet plan. The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis summarizes current knowledge of eating disorders with focus on social factors and family. The practical part is based on the author's own qualitative research based on an analysis of twenty narrative interviews with the patients, their mothers and one stepfather. The research takes into account the parents' professions, focus on the body, sporting nature of the families, the applied educational style, the ideal upbringing idea in relation to the applied one, it also deals with what helps the ill, and there is also focus on siblingship, divorces and intergenerational relations. University of South Bohemia students' awareness about eating disorders

The thesis focuses on knowledge of eating disorders by students of University of South Bohemia. The theoretical part defines particular types of eating disorders and the causes related with this problems. There are possible treatment methods for eating disorders mentioned at the end of this part. The practical part deals with students? awareness of eating disorders. It focuses on students? knowledge of eating disorders and orthorexia nerovosa. The research is based on questionnaire construction. The students of selected faculties of University of South Bohemia were the respondents. The results of the research were statistically processed.
