Maier, Ludvík ; Žáková, Lenka (advisor) ; Vomáčková, Helena (referee)
Title: Influence of a complex stretching exercise of lower limb on postural stability Objectives:: The main objective of this diploma these is to find out, using dynamic computerized posturography, whether the increased mobility of the lower limbs has a positive influence on postural stability. Another partial objective is to determine efficiency of the practised stretching exercises. Methods: This is a pilot study where in research participated five probands whose measurement results were evaluated qualitatively. The aged of probands at the time of the first measurement was from 13 to 18 years. All probands are male volleyball league players and during the last two years occurred to a marked grow by all of them. Given their tall stature, it was expected a decrease in the mobility of the lower limbs and muscle shortening. To the data acquisition was used clinical examination of active range of motion and shortened muscle testing according to Janda. Postural stability was measured using computerized dynamic posturography SMART EquiTest System from Neurocom. Measured data were processed using the program NeuroCom Balance Manager software. In the Framework of study were conducted two intrumental measurements in the range of two months. After the first measurement all probands were instructed how to...

Kellner, Petr ; Vágner, Michal (advisor) ; Majerčík, Petr (referee)
1 Abstract Title: The effect of running with a load on postural stability. Objectives: The establishment of changes in postural stability after a 3 km maximum effort run with a 15 kg load. Research sample: The tested subject group was constitued by seven soldiers of the Army of The Czech Republic at the average age of 25,6 ± 2,1 years who are students of the Military specialization at the Faculty of sport and physical education of The Charles University. Methods: This master's thesis was drawn up as a observational study of theoretic empiric character, realised through intraindividual comparative analysis on a group of 7 subjects. Postural stability was examined with RS Footscan forceplate and clinical balance test U.S. Military Academy Stance Test. The run was realised on a treadmill, without and with a load. For statistical analysis nonparametric statistic tests of significance were used. Results: The results of relations between postural control changes and 3km run with a load of 15 kg display a deterioration of postural stability tested after the run. The extend of deterioration of postural stability after 3-km run with a load within tested group is similar to one after 3-km run of analogous intensity. Key words: run, load, postural stability, balance
The effect of kinesiotaping for flat foot correction in association with selected parameters of gait for a specific group of people
Michalcová, Eliška ; Zahálka, František (advisor) ; Heller, Jan (referee)
Title: The effect of kinesiotaping for flat foot correction in association with selected parameters of gait for a specific group of people Objectives: The primary objective of this experiment was to determine whether and to what extent the application of kinesio tape to flat foot (utilising a functional correction technique) can influence the positioning of the specific segments of the body and thereby implement change to walking stereotype. Methods: Biomechanical measurement of the gait of eleven specifically selected people with the clinical symptoms of flat foot was implemented. First we recorded measurements prior to the intervention and then again, subsequent to the application of kinesio tape for a defined period. Probands retained the tape in place for the following four days and then the measuring was repeated both prior and subsequent to the removal of the tape. To determine any potential changes to the statics, initially the measuring of the postural stability prior to the intervention was first implemented in the experiment and subsequently again when the kinesio tape was removed after it had been worn for four days. This measurement was carried out using the Footscan apparatus (RSscan International, Belgium) and any potential differences in six variant modes of posture were determined....
