Expressions with variables in primary mathematics

The thesis is focused on the teaching of variable expressions at the eighth grade of elementary school and is divided into the theoretical, preparatory and experimental part. The theoretical part contains a short description of the objectives of the teaching of variable expressions. This section is complemented by the selected results of international comparative research and the classification of mistakes which pupils make in connection with the topic. An important part is the analysis of selected textbooks according them the teaching of variable expressions at the primary schools takes place. In the preparatory part there are presented the selected tasks of generalization which are recommended by the curriculum materials, but are not included in the textbooks. Component of the preparatory part is the presentation of algebra tiles environment. The core of the thesis is the experimental part aiming to compare the results of teaching of variable expressions in two differently taught groups. The first group was taught according to the textbook. In the second group the teaching was based on patterns of algebra tiles. Visualizations history of changes in cadastral map

The goal of this master thesis is to suggest a methodology for a visualization history of changes in cadastral maps. The suggested methodology takes into account a selection of original historical and contemporary data, processing workflow and follow-up visualization using existing open source web technologies. The greatest contribution of this thesis is in the design of the spatio-temporal database, because currently there does not exist workable editor similar to it, which could be used for creating such data. The suggested procedure is based on database updating method of ISKN database utilizing amendment records. However this method is significantly simplified with the use of PostgreSQL/PostGIS geospatial functions. The available literature and other informational sources to the topic are overviewed in the first part of the master thesis. The term "spatio-temporal data" is thoroughly defined and also the ways of integrating temporal features into spatial data, methods of visualization of spatio-temporal data and recent state of their implementations into desktop platforms and web applications are noted. The subject of this diploma thesis is the preparation of project documentation for the implementation of new sports and cultural centre Otradov. The dominant feature of the complex objects stands and multipurpose hall. The building is architecturally designed with an effort to fit in too much of rural architecture. Multipurpose hall has two floors, one third roofed flat roof, two-thirds of the roof ridge. The core system is aerated concrete blocks. The building is two-storey grandstand with the carrier deck. Roofing is solved by means of broken wooden beams. Sanitary facilities is dealt wall system and roofed shed roof. Athletics track, the surface of the polyurethane mixture designed for sports.

Image Compression Using the Wavelet Transform

The thesis discusses the image compression using the wavelet transform. The compression itself is done by EZW, SPIHT or EBCOT Tier1 algorithms. These algorithms are then compared to JPEG and JPEG2000 standards. Furthermore tiles, various wavelets and RGB and Y'CbCr color spaces were used to determine the influence on an image compression quality.

Project planning and management of construction residential houses in the file Štětí

The subject of this thesis is the preparation and organization of construction of residential buildings in Štětí. In the technological regulations deal with all the layers of flooring from the ceiling construction in residential buildings. The objects are hard floors. For floor coverings will be used PVC roofing, ceramic tiles and concrete coating. It will be used for machining of concrete. Next, I will discuss technological instruction, timing, valuation of all technological stages, construction site equipment, health and safety at work. Also here describe the proper allocation of construction processes into sub-processes to technological stage of completion of work most effectively achieve the objective.

The bachelor thesis deals with the inner and finishing works in a apartment building – block F. New building is located in the village Kuřim, in its part „Díly za Svatým Jánem“ on the street Metelkova. The building is located on plot number 2642/431 and it is a new building with twelve flats. The interior and finishing work consist in the design of plasters, flooring, drywall works, painting and assembly works. This work deals mainly with the plaster design. The plasters will be made from the plaster core, the inner stucco or there can be used the other superficial treatments.

Polyfunction house Křenová

The multifunctional house is a part of the row of buildings lining the Krenova street. This house closes the whole line of buildings, so all the houses together create a functional unit. This multifunctional building is devided into three functional parts – a museum, an administrative part and flats. The centre of the building is used as a relaxing area – the atrium. The principle of the design is based on a simple line of block materials connecting to each other. In the front of the house, which is facing the Krenova street, will be situated the museum. The front facade is made of black and white tiles and decorated by a glass ashlar. A second glass ashlar is situated on the east side of the building – the administrative part. This east side will be visible from the newly planned town cirquit. The area in between this cirquit and the multifunctional house will be made into park and will use as a place for relaxation. The decorative facing of the staircase (glazed ceramic tiles)

This diploma thesis is divided into two main parts {--} theoretical and practical. The practical part was focus on the proposing and creation of the tiles of the size 15 x 15 cm. 120 pieces were created for risers and 15 lateral tiles for the contiguous wall. The written theoretical part is mainly focused on the clarification of motivational sources which influence the process of this topic, the projecting of the staircase, and we can also find there the description of the technological procedures of the creation of the tiles with the account of used material.
