Nováčková, Jana ; Hobst, Leonard (referee) ; Mikš, Lubomír (referee) ; Brožovský, Jiří (advisor)
Legal rules and regulations, which are engaged in forensic engineering including expert evidence’s requirements, are because of the difference of this sphere very universal and common. Due to this situation, legal orders and regulations can not standardize and harmonize expert procedures for particular branches or their specific parts. The Dissertation thesis is focused on a elaboration of the methodology procedure for expert evidence’s elaborations, which analyze defects and imperfections in new-built flats.
Foundations in Volume Unstable Soils
Legut, Dana ; Weiglová, Kamila (referee) ; Hauser,, Jaroslav (referee) ; Zdražil, Karel (referee) ; Vašina,, Josef (referee) ; Paseka, Antonín (advisor)
This dissertation is concerned with the foundations in volume unstable soils and objects disorders which are related to this. The thesis was focused on the study of clay and loess soils which are abundant in the geological profile of the Czech Republic. First, the formation of the two groups of soils is introduced, then their properties are examined and finally the influence of vegetation on the former type and the influence of collapsibility in the latter type are investigated. The conclusion is, in fact, a recommendation on the design of structures so that the system of clay / structure is not damaged and that structures are not subject to renovations. Several instance of problems with structures are discussed which were subject to structural repairs employing both a civil and geotechnical engineers.
RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT COMPOSITE MATERIAL WITH A HIGHER RESISTANCE TO HIGH TEMPERATURES
Válek, Jaroslav ; Durica,, Tibor (referee) ; Kolář,, Karel (referee) ; Sitek,, Libor (referee) ; Bodnárová, Lenka (advisor)
Concrete has many advantageous properties as regards resistance to fire. It is non-flammable and it has a low thermal conductivity. However, concrete structures, which are not designed for resistance against fire, show significant damage after heating. In particular, the explosive flaking with the consequence of weakening the reinforced concrete cross-section and exposing the steel reinforcement to the temperatures higher than critical temperature of reinforcement. There are only a few possible measures of preventing or mitigating the effects temperature load used. Ways of protection can be divided into two systems: active and passive. Active systems are designed to ensure the greatest possible reduction of temperatures the concrete is exposed to. Passive systems directly resist to high temperatures and fire. Design of composition of concrete with the aim of higher resistance to exposition to high temperatures belongs among the passive systems. A part of the work focuses on summary searches of the problems of concrete and reinforced concrete structures exposed to high temperatures and fire. The goal of the work is defining requirements for cement matrix based composite material and its design ensuring the highest possible resistance to high temperatures or direct fire.
Faults and Defects of Residential Real Estate from the Point of View of Thermal Technique and their Possible Impact on the Value of the Real Estate
Hlavsa, Petr ; Kolář, Radim (referee) ; Klika, Pavel (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with issues of faults and defects of building structures in residential real estate in terms of thermal technique. This thesis deals with their possible impact on the value of a residential real estate. In the theoretical part of this thesis, properties and quantities, which are used for an assessment of the building structures according to legislature, are described. Assessments of the steady state temperature are described closely. The thesis mentions usual sources and causes of faults and defects, which frequently occur. The possibilities of the non-destructive assessment of structures are also described. The reparability of faults or defects is related to the influence on the price of real estate. The practical part of the thesis deals with the value of a dwelling in an apartment house, which is affected by a fault manifesting surface condensation. An analyzed technical cause of this fault is described. Possible ways of remedying are shown, including the quantification of costs. The apartment is appraised in a faultless condition and afterwards the probable impact of this fault on the price of apartment is determined.
Reduction prices house in Lelekovice as a result of defects or faults.
Faltusová, Veronika ; Uhlová, Eva (referee) ; Weigel, Lubomír (advisor)
This thesis deals with the issue of determining the causes of defects and failures, focusing on a specific property and their significance in determining the price of the property. The first part focuses on the theory explaining the basic concepts used in the valuation of real estate, basic methods of property valuation and classification of construction defects and failures. This chapter includes an analysis of the real estate market in the years 2008 - 2013. The second part is devoted to determining the amount of property damage at a specific property, the calculation of this particular property which is based on technical surveys and subsequent valuation of the property with regard to the results of the survey. The aim is to create a design procedure for reducing the price of the property with the defect.

Maintenance work design for small transport aircraft
Bednář, Ondřej ; Koštial, Rostislav (referee) ; Třetina, Karel (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design maintenance work for a small transport aircraft. This thesis is focused on an overview of the activities, which are carried out in the maintenance of small transport aircraft with a capacity about fifty passengers. The first part of this thesis is conceived as a theoretical part and summarizes the activities used during maintenance - maintenance methods, a typical part failures, diagnostics, network analysis and equations for the calculating of the cost of maintenance. At the beginning are showed the basic characteristics of selected representatives of this category and regulatory requirements on them. The design of maintenance work is in the second half of the thesis. It includes the visualization of the database that could be used for the maintenance of aircraft and which could be subsequently evaluated. This is a general description of the maintenance work, which ca be performed during the pre-flight inspection, re-inspection for repeated flights, preliminary preparation and periodic maintenance.
Issue of defining construction defects and failures
Šmahel, Milan
Submission of expert reports in litigation concerning the application of discount on previously purchased old real property due to subsequently discovered construction defects and failures led the author to write this contribution. An expert can be given various tasks in the area of this issue, for example, of specifying and determining: whether by the takeover date of real property by a buyer subject properties embodied defects and failures which the buyer had pointed out to a seller. Then, what costs the buyer must spend on removing subject defects and failures, whether defects and failures are caused by a common wear and tear of an object or by something else, and whether and which of the defects and failures originated from an old and worn object. Moreover, whether such wear and tear, with regard to a life span of individual construction components, was common or not and whether (by the takeover date) the objects were suitable for the use and purpose which they were intended (e.g. housing) for. Last but not least, whether it is possible to specify apparent defects and latent defects by discovered defects and failures, to determine price for real property by the sale date, including both determined price according to the price regulation and common price. Simultaneously, the expert can be given the task to express his view on expert reports attached to a file. Both a great number of tasks and a great number of discovered defects and failures mean a big amount of demanding work for experts. It is appropriate to deal with such work systematically right from the beginning so that conducted analyses, final defining of individual pointed defects and failures and final answers are factual, clear and in order. The author’s experience with the issue of dealing with reports in this area is the subject of this contribution.
Patterns, typology and methodology of dealing with traffic accidents at intersections controlled by a system of light signals
Rábek, Vlastimil
The present contribution a very open and inclusive manner, deals with the issue of traffic accidents at intersections controlled by a system of light signals. The complexity of this type of accidents is in considerable overlap of the issue also in the field of construction and traffic engineering, automation technology and law. Therefore be adequately cited excerpts of the relevant legal provisions and technical standards. Although the expert is not authorized to speak to the legal issues, but nothing prevents the author freely within the post ponder interdisciplinary contexts. The paper deals with, among others, the standard control modes and fault conditions of traffic lights and practically demonstrates the use of electronic data registered on the activities of traffic lights (OCIT protocol, operating, servicing and fault log).Unit II of this paper deals mainly with typologies, experience, methodology, solutions, investigations and case reports of accidents at intersections controlled by a system of light signals.
