Comparision of scale for evaluation techniques of close combat
Tatalák, Petr ; Majerčík, Petr (referee) ; Vágner, Michal (advisor)
The work is focused on the evaluation techniques of close combat by using more and less categorical scale. The evaluations judged by two raters. The scales have been analyzed by Kappa coefficient and Kendall's coefficient. The complex rested was comprised of 80 soldiers. For the purposes of the evaluation, there were selected 13 techniques of close combat from 1st level of the training of close combat in the Army of the Czech Republic. Name work: Comparison of scales determined for the evaluation of soldiers as for the fight at close quarters skills. Focus of the work: The aim of the work is found agree between two raters at two scales for evaluation of techniques of close combat. Method: The work is set out to be an empirical quantitative research of the observation type. Results: When the results of a repeated evaluation of a cumulative scale of fight at close quarters had been compared by one observer, there where put the results for the 0.81 Kappa ratios and 0.85 Kendall ratios in the "dynamics"category. Whiles the value of the Kappa ratio equals 0.88 a Kendall's ratio 0.89 in the "exactness" category. Its value in the "coordination" reaches Kappa ratio 0.72 and Kendall's ratio 0.77. Comparing both measurements by means of numerical scale, the kappa ratio reached the value 0.87 and Kendall...

Komarc, Martin ; Buchtel, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Vorálek, Rostislav (referee)
Title: Relationship between quality of serving and the defensive phase at net in men Volleyball at the Olympic Games 2008 in Beijing. Objective: The purpose of this thesis was to find out relationship between quality of serving and the defensive phase at net in elite volleyball teams. The thesis should also give a more detailed view on progress of this relationship in time, and to show what is the character of the relationship in best teams. Methods: The main method used in this work was, standardized indirect observation. We observed matches on Olympic volleyball tournament 2008, in Beijing, where we assessed the selected playing activities on 5-degree scale. After that, we applied one-dimensional methods of statistical analysis to find out statistical significance (chi-square test) and methods of objectively-logical analysis. Results: The results refer to significant relationship between quality of serving and the defensive phase at net. This relationship appears to be stable in time, independent on changes made in volleyball (rally point system, libero specialization). By comparing of this relationship in best teams we did not find statistically significant differences, but we consider as a big advantage for team to be able to group a two-person block after poor quality service. CSSR/GDR opposition after 1968: a comparison of paths to opposition, mutual perception, plus views of the security bodies
Vilímek, Tomáš ; Kocian, Jiří (advisor) ; Bureš, Jan (referee) ; Otáhal, Milan (referee)
This thesis as submitted has been devoted to comparison of anti-regime activities in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic (CSSR) and in the German Democratic Republic (GDR) after 1968. It does not represent a complete survey of opposition movements in the countries subjected to comparison; more likely, it should be a comparative study focused essentially to three fundamental thematic fields. Following the outline of state of contemporary research in the matter, a survey of major (principal) archive sources and, last but not least, the methodology of elaboration of this theses, the author has been focused at the issue of typology of the anti-regime activities, without aiming to expand further the typological scale with new terms, for that one seems to be rich enough already. Rather, it accents the needs of mutual interconnection of these categorisation attempts with some individual aspects of the opposition conduct. Consequently, proper attention has been devoted to the issue of social anchoring of the opposition activities, as well as to a search of key factors of transformation; of a rebirth, in fact, of social refusal into opposition as such.

Microscale flow and diffusion characteristics inside the urban area
Kukačka, Libor ; Brechler, Josef (referee) ; Jaňour, Zbyněk (advisor)
Dispersion of pollutants in the atmosphere of urban areas is the important task in environmental sciences. The main goal was the quantitative studying of a flow in a symmetrical urban built-up area depending on a running on flow direction. There was given a theoretical base of the physical modeling of the atmospheric boundary layer in this work. The measurement was done with a model of the urban build-up area at a scale of 1:200 in the aerodynamic wind tunnel of the IT AS CR, v.v.i. in Nový Knín. The requirements to the similarity to a real atmospheric boundary layer and a model boundary layer in the wind tunnel were accomplished. Velocity fields, concentration fields and fields of scalar uxes were measured in the area of a rectangular intersection. Results of the experiment showed significant sensitivity of the velocity field about the running on flow direction that extensively inuenced ventilation of street canyons.

Flow and diffusion characteristics inside the urban area

Title: Flow and diffusion characteristics inside the urban area Author: Hana Chaloupecká Department: Department of meteorology and enviroment protection Supervisor: prof. RNDr. Zbyněk Jaňour, DrSc., IT AS CR, v. v. i. Supervisor's e - mail: janour@it.cas.cz Abstract: Uniqueness of different towns, consists of various shapes of buildings. The main topic of this work is to compare concentration diffusion within groups of buildings of various types. We pursued houses made of single blocks of two different lengths - they were placed parallel or in courtyards. For research of pollution diffusion within the housing estates a method of physical modelling has been used. For this purpose we summarized a theory of atmospheric boundary layer and physical modelling at first. Then we pursued experiments. Measuring took place in a model in scale 1 : 300 inside an aerodynamic wind tunnel of the Institute of Thermomechanics AS in Nový Knín. We checked out the requirements placed on similarity of the real boundary layer and boundary layer modelled in the tunnel. By the measuring of concentration in urban areas we weren't watching a plume from the pollution source but we were studying an inversion task. We measured concentrations in two fixed points from different point sources inside the defined areas. A sensitivity of...

Rehabilitation Treatment of Patient with Stroke
BŘEZOVSKÁ, Lucie
This bachelor thesis is on the topic of rehabilitative nursing of stroke patients. It is analysing how the issue is dealt with in the rehabilitation department and Department of Neurology. The bachelor thesis is divided into two separate chapters, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part focuses on the causes, symptoms, diagnosis and Treatment of patients after a stroke and the current state of rehabilitative care. One of the parts of rehabilitative care is the collaboration of the nurse and the multidisciplinary team. Furthermore, the thesis describes the possible complications that may occur from the stroke. These complications include mainly pressure sores and immobilization syndrome. Rehabilitative treatment of patients with strokes include positioning, communication, passive movements, active movements, verticalization, breathing exercises. Other methods used in rehabilition nursing, application of heat and cold and basal stimulation. The thesis also includes chapters dealing with nursing management, medical documentation and evaluating the scale of a patient after a stroke. For the practical part there was a set goal, determine the working conditions for nurses who provide the patients rehabilitative treatment after a stroke. There were four main hypotheses defined, which were the subject of an anonymus questionnaire: Hypothesis - H1: There are only positioning aids available for nurses to provide rehabilitative treatment. Hypothesis - H2: Nurses are documenting the rehabilitative treatment regularly used in the nursing process. Hypothesis - H3: Nurses state that the problem of providing rehabilitative care is the lack of time. Hypothesis-H4: Results of rehabilitative nursing care are monitored by the nursing management. As additional research investigation case reports have been formulated with the Barthel index in four patients. Results of the research shows that nurses are using not only positioning aids, but other available tools as well. Rehabilitative care nurses regularly document treatments, especially in nursing documentation. Nurses stated that there is lack of time for providing rehabilitative nursing and nurses state that the treatment is monitored by nursing management.

The risk of chronic lesions after radiation therapy in patients with breast cancer
KŘÍŽOVÁ, Jana
Breast carcinoma is the most common cancer in women. In 2009, 5,975 new cases were diagnosed in the Czech Republic. One of the main treatment modalities is radiotherapy, which, besides bringing treatment effects, may also cause post-radiation changes that significantly influence patients? quality of life. The work focuses on monitoring the occurrence of post-radiation changes following radiotherapy as part of breast carcinoma treatment ? chronic radiodermatitis, hypodermic fibrosis and lymphedema, all at Masaryk Memorial Cancer Institute Brno. After the end of radiotherapeutic treatment these changes are monitored by the physicians during regular checks and classified on the RTOG/EORTC scale. I used a set of 98 patients (97 women and 1 man) treated at the Masaryk Memorial Cancer Institute Brno between 1998 and 2009 who suffered from the mentioned post-radiation changes. The data was assessed upon the purpose, radiation equipment used for the radiotherapy, and the degree of the studied conditions. Occurrence of lymphedema prior to radiotherapy was statistically analysed as well. All the patients received the same dose of 50 Gy with a standard fractionation scheme of 25 fractions by 2 Gy, and therefore no evaluation of coincidence of the applied dose with the risk of chronic changes occurrence was possible. Consequent changes occurred in 74 % of the studied patients. Statistics shows that patients who received radiation treatment of mamma or chest and regional lymph nodes were at higher risk of suffering chronic changes to the skin and higher risk of lymphedema, but at lower risk of hypodermic fibrosis.

Pragmatism and humanism in nursing
HAUSEROVÁ, Ester
?Pragmatism and Humanism in Nursing?; it is the key subject of this thesis. It is trying to analyse both philosophical trends reflecting current situation of nursing. The academic part deals with philosophy such as humanism and pragmatism, followed by phenomenology and ethics. The following part refers to assisting careers, nursing, its history and philosophy, and the nursing rights. The final issue of this academic part is dedicated to the nurse chores, difficult tasks, burnout syndrome and hygiene of mind. The empiric part is aimed at receiving and processing of information through quality and quantity research. All respondents were general nurses and nursing students. The main focus of this thesis was to find the balance scale between nursing pragmatism and humanism and view the opinion of nurse while bringing those philosophical opinions into practice. Regarding to the results of this thesis it is obvious that there is a space for both of these philosophical trends though it is not particularly easy to mark which of these trends may currently prevail. At the same time there is not a clear opinion of participating nurses about bringing these trends into use. It proves that the exploitation of humanism and pragmatism elements is quite individual regarding the time and circumstances. Hypothesis and questions of research are evaluated within the final chapters. The results of this thesis reflect the constant problems which are generally recognised by both the nurses and the students of the nursing. Among the main problems of nurses are too much work and the lack of time. The last part of this thesis contains the attachments, which are related to the empiric part (such as questionnaires and question topics) and they present an idea of thematic supervisory plan, which would be aimed at solving the current problematic situation of a nursing practice.

Social Orientation Scale in Thematic Apperception Test
Novotná, Hana ; Soukupová, Tereza (advisor) ; Goldmann, Petr (referee)
This thesis deals with a possibility of measuring levels of social skills using the Social Orientation Scale (SOS) in stories made up with the Thematic Apperception Test. In the theoretical part we introduce the Thematic Apperception Test, the scoring systems used to interpret it and the Social Orientation Scale of Goldmann and Soukupová. This part also introduces the concept of social competence, describe the characteristics of an adolescence development stage and specifics of youth detention centers, their clients and a problematic behavior observed at most of them. In the empirical part we compare two groups of adolescents, each consisting of 30 probands. The first group was made up by girls and boys currently undergoing a diagnostic stay in youth detention centers, while the second group consisted of their same-age peers from an ordinary population. To obtain the basic characteristics of the subjects under test, we employ semi-structured anamnestic interview. Furthermore, the Thematic Apperception Test is evaluated using the Social Orientation Scale and the results thereof are statistically analysed. Our research focuses mainly on figuring out the differences in the competence levels reached at the particular tables and as a whole. Besides that, the stories are analyzed content-wise, focusing...

Citizens on the Pension System - November 2016
Čadová, Naděžda
In its November survey the Center for Public Opinion Research focused on some issues related to the pension system and pension reform. Within this thematic block respondents were presented three pairs of opposing statements expressing general attitudes to the different characteristics of the pension system. Respondents expressed their position through a five-point scale, where point 1 meant identification with the first of a pair of opposing statements and point 5, on the contrary, featured complete shift to the second statement. Individual claims were related to contradiction between principle of solidarity and merit in the pension system, whether financial security of retired people should be ensured by state or by the citizens themselves and whether the pension system in its current form is just or unjust.
