The thesis Nordic Welfare states addresses the social policies of Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. It concentrates on specific features of policies forming the Nordic social system and the paper also evaluates the impacts of the social policies in various fields. Moreover, the paper discusses the perspectives of the Nordic welfare state and identifies potential risks which they may face in the future.
The position of Norway in the European integration process

This bachelor thesis describes what the position of Norway is in the European integration process. Thesis deals with both the current situation and the development of relationship between Norway and the EU since the end of the World War II. There is characterized Norwegian economy and its development. It discusses the current problem of the global economic crisis and the internal political situation after the parliamentary election in September 2009. There is is also a survey of position of Norway to European integration in my bachelor thesis. The emphasis is put primarily on the development of relations with the EU. It is given a summary of how Norway participates in the international division of labour in relation to the EU. Most of Norway's cooperation with the EU goes through the EFTA, which is also mentioned. Part of this work is determination of integration potential of Norway and the answer to the question of what would complete integration into the EU bring to Norway.
Norway and Switzerland: their position within the integration process in Europe

The main objective of this thesis is to clarify the position of Norway and Switzerland within the integration process in Europe. There are pointed out the reasons, why such wealthy and developed countries aren't the members of the European Union. EFTA (European Free Trade Agreement) is also mentioned there. It's an intergovernmental organisation, which connects Norway, Switzerland, Island and Liechtenstein nowadays. The relationship between Norway and Switzerland and the European Union is also defined there. Concerning Norway we speak about the EEA Agreement (European Economic Area). The relations between Switzerland and the European Union are governed by a whole structure of bilateral agreements. Both countries are also the Schengen member states.
EFTA in the changing international environment with focus on EU relations development

The bachelor thesis analyzes historical development of EFTA and the EU relations, describes and evaluates current situation and outlines possible future development of these relations. The text is divided into three parts. The first chapter introduces the EFTA integration groupings, briefly characterizes its members and describes its relations with third countries. In addition, it focuses on the historical development of the EU and EFTA relations and defines the legal background of their cooperation (conventions). The second and the third chapter present the perspective of individual states on the EU integration, analyze the problems of interrelationship and think about the possible future development. First is the problem introduced from the view of the Scandinavian countries (Norway and Iceland), second from the view of the Alpine countries (Switzerland and Liechtenstein). The work reflects the current international situation in which in the context of the current global financial crisis that has affected also the European continent slowly changes perspective of some countries on European integration in favor of the EU as well as the benefits of a common European currency are highlighted.
Advantages and disadvantages of the entry of Norway to the EU

In this bachelor thesis, there is analysed the relationship between the EU and Norway. The actual situation is outlined from the position of Norway and also from the position of the EU on the basis of the historical facts and pursuit of integration in the past. There are many historical, geopolitical, economical, geographical and political aspects, which influence Norway to stay away from EU. Despite of the fact, Norway is a non-member of the EU, the membership in the EEA, in the Schengen area and in the NATO gives Norway many possibilities to derive benefits from these international institutions. Except the model of the welfare state, the economy of Norway is so developed and prosperous thanks also to oil, gas and fisheries. Today, there are more disadvantages than advantages for Norway to become a member state of the EU.
Bilateral Economic Cooperation between Norway and Czech Republic

This diploma thesis is focused on main aspects of the economic cooperation between Norway and Czech Republic. Theoretical part describes main determinants of international economic cooperation. The analytical part analyses business environment in both countries, an influence of European Union on the economic cooperation, an activity of investment agencies and SWOT analysis of the Norwegian market. One chapter is focused on an import of the natural gas from Norway to Czech Republic, which is the most important part of the economic cooperation.

The graduation thesis Spatial planning in Norway - the comparison with Czech Republic consists of description of spatial planning systems in Norway and Czech Republic. It focuses on differences between divided (regional and spatial planning) Czech system and integrated Norwegian model. The graduation thesis is divided into five parts. The first consists of basic terms, the second of socioeconomic analysis of Norway. Third and fourth part are describing Czech a Norwegian planning models. The main part of the graduation thesis is the part in which are define deuces, differences, advantages and disadvantages of spatial planning in Norway in comparison with the divided Czech model.

The analysis of incomming and outgoing tourism of Norway, relationship with Czech Republic and promotion of Norway in our country is a practical part of the diploma thesis. The purpose of these thesis is to set apart Norway from statistics, analyses and charakteristics all of the Scandinavien countries and to make an analysis of the situation of Norway tourism with reference to the Czech Republic.

Samostatně je pojednáno o vztahu obou zemí k Evropské unii a také o vlivu EU na vztahy ČR a Norska.
