The citizens of the Czech republic and France - their social security

The Bachelor thesis deals with the characteristics of the Social Security in Czech Republic and France, focusing on health insurance. The aim of this thesis is to describe both systems and find french components that could be implemented in the Czech system of the health insurance. This thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter defines the concept of the social security, its historical development, structure and goals in both countries. The second chapter is focused on health insurance, including the calculations of benefits and financing of the health insurance. Next chapter describes health insurance in France. The last chapter is devoted to a comparison of the health insurance in both countries.

Jediným městem s více než milionem obyvatel je Praha. Druhým největším městem z hlediska počtu obyvatel Brno, následované Ostravou a Plzní.

Small Size Municipality Revenues in Czech Republic

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the system of municipality incomes in the Czech Republic with respect to specifics of small municipalities. In last few years these municipalities have become a frequently discussed topic because of their lower incomes. The legislation has been devoting to this problem since 2008 and the differences between large and small municipalities in the Czech Republic were removed. There is income analysis of all municipalities in the Czech Republic from 2000 up to 2012 in this thesis. The municipalities were divided into two groups. The first group contains small villages, defined as municipalities up to 499 inhabitants. In the second group there are other municipalities of the Czech Republic except small villages, statutory cities and the Capital City of Prague. The real data were recalculated per head for this analysis and minimum, maximum, median and arithmetic mean were found. Variability of incomes is evaluated from these results. Regression and correlation analysis is made in some groups of revenues because of finding dependence among variables. Disparity in incomes of small towns and other communities is assessed by comparing the arithmetic means and medians between groups of municipalities using a Two-Sample t-test and Mann-Whitney test. Revenue growth is evaluated determination of the trends of the time series using linear regression. Some specifics in financing small villages were found from these analyzes. There was also confirmation of the hypothesis that small municipalities have lower incomes per an inhabitant.

Comparison of Occupational Diseases Notified in the Czech Republic and in the Slovak Republic in 2006

The concept of occupational disease refers to diseases that originated adverse of detrimental effects of the working environment. Czech and Slovak legislation Republic of match in cases that could be classified as an occupational disease. In both countries, the disease can be recognized as an occupational disease , provided that is listed in the list of occupational diseases and created the conditions listed in the list of occupational diseases. Since occupational diseases have a serious impact impact on staff and also may pose consequences for employer must meet legislative and uniform diagnostic criteria . Purpose of determining the number of occupational diseases is gathering information for analysis of the problems in health when illness and the risk of occupational disease is one of the basic indicators of the effectiveness prevention, the decision of the competent authorities to take appropriate organizational and other measures for scientific research, for education in the field and for international comparisons. The incidence of occupational diseases is also one important indicators of the health status of the population, especially the population working age. The development of the crime on credits in the South Bohemia before 2014

The aim of this study is to analyze the development of committing a credit fraud offence under § 211 of the Act. no. 40/2009 Coll., the Penal Code (particularly the development of this crime and the development of the amount of the damage) and consequent comparing the selected macroeconomic indicators development in the period 2005-2014 in the region of South Bohemia. In this work secondary data analysis methods were used. Statistical data obtained from the South Bohemian branch of the Czech Statistical Office and statistical data from Crime Police of the Czech Republic was used as the source. The data evaluating the amount of detected cases of this crime committed by the offenders in the Region South Bohemia, according to the region where the fraud was commited, was analyzed. The analyzed file was 5,713 offenses and 4,219 offenders. The defined set was divided into seven parts (districts), according to the local jurisdiction of the territorial departments of the Czech Police. The observed data was compared with selected macroeconomic indicators. From the results it can be concluded that the highest rate of loan fraud offence (calculated per 1,000 inhabitants) is in the district Stra-konice. Conversely, the lowest crime in the same period is in the district Jindřichův Hradec. This work also re-vealed that the development of macroeconomic indicators has no effect on the development of this crime. In conclusion, it is recommended to promote economic education at primary and secondary schools, thus improving the financial literacy of the population. Furthermore, we can recommend the consistent use of, the Central Credit Register, which is already available, as well as supporting of changes in the legislation, so that the providers have an obligation to investigate the credit applicants more and make the offenders of this crime discouraged by higher penalties imposed for credit fraud.

Availability of social services in in the Zlín region

The diploma thesis is aimed at availabilitymapping and analysing of social services in the Zlín region. Special attention is devoted to the Vsetín area with an aim to evaluate a scope, structure of providers and availability of social services in this peripheral area of the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. At introduction of the theoretical part there are defined elementary terms and then a research focused on running of social systems of Slovakia, Germany and Great Britain follows. Subsequently there is social policy of the Czech Republic described together with related law, structure of social service providers and engagement of non-governmental sector. In the theoretical part there is a comparison of social system of the Czech Republic with above mentioned states of Europe. A conclusion contains issues of community planning, creation and advantages which are connected with its process. The practical part of the thesis deals with social services in the Zlín region. Attention is focused on structure and typology of social services and their availability for local inhabitants, a community plan and its application within whole Zlín region as well as in individual districts. A part of the practical section is a detailed analysis of social services in Vsetín district and presentation of its community plan, specification of provided services in this area, structure of these services and problems connected with the offer. Methods used in the diploma thesis are analysis, research, comparison, methods of field research and synthesis of obtained findings.

Distribution of Philips Oral Health Care products in the Czech Republic

This Master thesis is focused on topic of distribution channels and theirs practical application in distribution of Philips Oral Healthcare products on Czech market. The theoretical part is devoted to the physical structure of distribution channels, the parameters that define them, and the factors influencing their choice. Furthermore, the thesis focuses on the relationships that exist between channel members, a system for management and direction of the common value added. The thesis is further concerned about relationships developed in between two channel members and presents a system for management of such relationships in order to develop them and deliver additional value. Under this approach the thesis further deals with the process of key customers selection and their further integration. In the next section a more detailed presentation of Philips Company is given, followed by description of oral healthcare market competition and distribution of end customers by their habits. Furthermore the thesis describes a practical example of Philips dealing with key customer in oral healthcare category. In order to fulfill the set objectives of the this thesis deep analysis of Philips current distribution channels takes place, followed by described anticipated development and proposed important area to ensure such development.

Fire and rescue department of the capital city of Bratislava

The aim of this thesis is the analysis and description of the operation of the fire and rescue department which operatates in the territory of Bratislava, capital of Slovakia. To prevent damages on the lives of people and their property, it is essential that fire protection units will arrive on the place of incident in the shortest possible time. Effective blanket deployment of fire protection units in the city area helps to ensure it. The work thus focuses on the assessment of the current state of this blanket deployment and also on layout of the new deployment of fire protection units, which would fulfill the requirements of the time range and number of units required to be at the place of incident for fire protection intervention.

The Welfare State from the Czech Republic’s and the Great Britain’s point of view

The bachelor thesis called "The Welfare State from the Czech Republic's and the Great Britain's point of view" deals with characteristic of these two attitudes to social politics and especially it focuses on comparing selected indicators which governments of these countries use to ensure its existence. The opening theoretical part is dedicated to explanation of poverty issue. It is followed by typologies of the welfare state, its historical evolution, used instruments and finally problems that it has to face nowadays. Practical part aspires to describe fundamental differences between Czech and Britain social state functioning. In detail it compares indicators of poverty, economy, minimum wage, unemployment rate, pension assurance, health care and education. There are some suggestions for improving Czech situation made in the end of this thesis.

Role of the nurse in screening for depression in the elderly.

The diploma thesis deals with problems of depression in older people. Mainly the work is focused on identifying and analyzing the role of nurses in screening for depression in older people in primary care, acute care, long-term care and home care. This thesis was focused on theoretical direction and was used the method of design and demonstration. In this thesis was set one main goals with five research questions. The main goal was to identify and analyze the role of nurses in screening for depression in the elderly. RQ 1: What is the role of the nurse in screening for depression in the elderly? RQ 2: What is the role of the nurse in the primary care in screening for depression in the elderly? RQ 3: What is the role of the nurse in screening for depression in hospitalized patients in acute care? RQ 4: What is the role of the nurse in screening for depression in seniors in long-term and home care? RQ 5: What rating scales and methods are used in screening for depression in the elderly? The thesis introduce the concept of depression. The following are specified the causes of and the important factors that affect depression in the elderly. It also deals the differences in the clinical symptomatology of depression in old age. It explains possibilities and various barriers in the diagnosis of depression. Another chapter introduces complete geriatric examination, diagnostic classification systems, possible screening methods and scales for detection of depression in the elderly population. It also deals methods of pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment and its possible complications associated with older age. By reason of increased suicide rate caused by depressive disorder the issue of suicidal behavior in the elderly is introduced. The next chapter deals with the nursing process, which is used by nurses in practice. It consists of the evaluation of the patient's health condition, making nursing diagnosis, creating nursing plan and subsequent implementation and evaluation. The nursing process is also needy for providing quality care. The nursing process in the stage of nursing diagnosis, introduces possible nursing diagnosis for a patient suffering from depression, which are based on the latest classification. Finally is described the role of nurses in screening for depression in the elderly in different health facilities and their contribution to the timely evaluation of depression in the elderly. This chapter introduces the role of nurses, nursing screening and collaboration with a physician. The role of nurses in screening for depression in different medical facilities is based on the first phase of the nursing process of assessment. On the basis of objective and subjective information, the nurse will assess the overall health and mental condition of the patient. Primarily, it was investigated what is the role of the nurse in screening for depression. On the basis of content analysis and synthesis it was necessary to used and processed domestic and foreign literature. A number of relevant sources are the results of various studies and Meta-analyzes, mostly from abroad, but also from the Czech Republic. The thesis can serve as a basis for nurses. The result of this thesis is to create e-learning material available for students in the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences of South Bohemia in Ceske Budejovice in the tutorial called Moodle.
