Quality assessment of university information system
Žák, Adam ; Vencovský, Filip (advisor) ; Bruckner, Tomáš (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on a particular university information system currently used by University of Economics and Czech University of Life Sciences. Main goal was to evaluate system quality from the perspective of its common user -- university student. The evaluation was based on a detailed analysis of students' requirements on the system. These requirements were extracted through interviews and verified through a questionnaire survey. The thesis itself is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part is at first determined what quality and information system is. Further is briefly described the international standardization of the quality and quality characteristics according to the selected ISO/IEC 25000 SQuaRE standard. Subsequently these characteristics are combined and used to compile questions for interviews. In the practical part, I'm initially setting questions for interviews using characteristics of quality to which I'm assigning scales according to my subjective estimate of importance and then interviewing individual students from both universities. Problem areas of system quality are determined from these interviews. System requirements are defined from these areas which were verified using questionnaire survey in which students had the opportunity to comment these requirements. The results of the survey are described both verbally and graphically, while the requirements verification is conducted and on its basis it's determined which requirements are significant and which are not. The last chapter deals with the solution of these requirements through systemic changes and recommendations. The main contribution of the thesis lies in the practical application of standards contained in the new series of standards ISO/IEC 25000 SQuaRE dealing with the quality of the software and the subsequent formulation of user requirements together with suggestions on how to satisfy these requirements.

Survey of continuing care for cardiacs in Czech Republic, with focus on nursing care.
DOLEŽEL, Jakub
Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death in the Czech Republic. An increasing number of its inhabitants become cardiac patients who require a nursing intervention. Nursing in cardiology has an irreplaceable position in the cardiovascular care provision. The health care costs are rising, nursing has been undergoing many changes. Training of cardiology nurses gets changed, as well as the image and role of cardiology nurses in society. Cardiology nurses are much more independent, educated and organized. In cardiovascular facilities nursing care is being standardized and the quality of care is improving. In this thesis, focus is given to nursing in cardiology. In the introduction the issue of cardiovascular diseases is outlined, the major part is devoted to the concept of Czech nursing in cardiology. Individual stages of the system of care for cardiac patients in the Czech Republic and the status of cardiology nurses involved in the system are surveyed. Attention is also paid to the structure of cardiovascular facilities and expert companies in our country and abroad. The thesis has the title: Survey of continuity of care for cardiac patients in the Czech Republic with focus on nursing care. In total five goals, seven research questions and four hypotheses were stated. We surveyed the cardiology nurses´ attitude to lifelong learning, if they are building their own specific image, and if they ensure the continuity of care. Our objective was also to identify the role of nurses in education of cardiac patients and the level of cardiac patients´ knowledge. The research section is elaborated on the basis of a qualitative and quantitative investigation. The qualitative part was carried out by semi-structured interviews with cardiology nurses working in comprehensive cardiovascular centers. The quantitative part of the survey was conducted with patients of comprehensive cardiovascular centers. Seventy domestic and foreign sources of literature devoted not only to the issueof cardiovascular diseases were quoted. The research results are supposed to serve as a basis for coordinated efforts of all participating nurses and institutions to build a well-functioning and technically and economically efficient system of nursing care for cardiac patients in CR.

Burn-out syndrome at obstetric department
Fáberová, Irena ; Marková, Monika (advisor) ; Tošnarová, Hana (referee)
Burn-out syndrome is permanently present among helping professionals, midwives not excluded. The work of a midwife is challenging and stressful at the same time. Midwife works twelve-hour shifts and she is responsible for two human lives - that one of the mother and that one of her child. In my thesis, I tried to draw a map of burn-out syndrome at an obstetric department and its relation to workplace culture. Based on my work experience, I decided to observe satisfaction rate of non-medical healthcare givers. Just satisfaction rate in each single area of work life gives us the best evidence of quality of organisation management and its flexibility in the management field as a prevention towards burn-out syndrom. Theoretical part of the thesis provides us with general information about burn-out syndrome and organisation culture. Empiric part of the thesis deals with influence of burn-out syndrome at an obstetric department. Two methodes were used during the research phase - qualitative research (interview) and standardised MBI-GS questionnaire. The goal of the thesis was to set up suitable preventive measures based on research results at an organisation management level. Key words: burn-out syndrome, midwife, organisation culture, obstetric department, satisfaction, preventive measures

Zhodnocení úrovně reprodukce králíků v podmínkách středně velkého chovu
Tesařová, Zuzana
Thesis is focused on assessing the reproduction levels of rabbits in middle-sized extensive holdings. For statistical analysis were used breeds Dwarf Teddy (unrecognized breed), Hermelin, Netherland Dwarf and Dwarf Lop. Factors influencing the litter count, fertilization, gestation length, count of rabbits born and reared and male-to-female ratio of young rabbits. Highly significant values were reported for variance in born and reared counts for Hermelin and Netherland Dwarf breeds, while after categorizing into quality groups was concluded that higher-weight and lower-exterior-quality doe reach statistically highly-significant differences in born-and-reared youngling count. Furthermore, the used breeding technology and litter order influence on reproductive indexes was evaluated.

Rules, bans, restrictions in healthcare facilities
KODETOVÁ, Věra
Rules, bans, restrictions in healthcare facilities Improving the quality of care for patients is the main goal of every healthcare facility. Satisfaction of patients with medical and nursing care is one of the indicators of quality. Patients have not only rights but also duties. Among other things, patients{\crq} duties include compliance with rules, bans and restrictions during a visit to healthcare facilities. This particularly concerns compliance with therapeutic rules, instructions given by a physician and other limitations associated with the operation of a healthcare facility. The main objective of this diploma thesis was to identify the patients{\crq} attitude and perception of rules, bans, and restrictions, find out how patients observe them and compare the number of rules, bans and restrictions in both outpatient and inpatient healthcare facilities. The data was collected in a survey undertaken in Nemocnice s poliklinikou Praha Italská (Hospital with Outpatient Clinic Prague Italska). This healthcare facility has 2 hospital wards and 31 specialist outpatient departments. A total of 188 respondents took part in the survey (102 outpatients and 86 inpatients). Five hypotheses were proposed. The first hypothesis, which predicted that most patients would perceive rules, bans and restrictions as burden, was not confirmed. The second hypothesis, which predicted that rules, bans and restrictions that were personal would create more stress in female patients than in male patients, was confirmed. The third hypothesis was also confirmed since female patients from outpatient departments of the healthcare facility were shown to be more compliant with rules, bans and restrictions than male patients. Female inpatients from hospital wards of the healthcare facility were not more compliant with rules, bans and restrictions than male inpatients. The fourth hypothesis was not therefore confirmed. Our assumption that inpatients from hospital wards of the healthcare facility are facing more rules, bans and restrictions than outpatients was disproved. The fifth hypothesis was not therefore confirmed. The author has chosen this topic for her diploma thesis because as a nurse she meets different kinds of patients on a daily basis who react differently to rules, bans and restrictions in this healthcare facility. The results of the survey led us to design training classes for nurses and information brochures for patients who visit healthcare facilities. A sufficient amount of information is a basic prerequisite for understanding and complying with rules, bans and restrictions.

Influence of optical connectors and of other effects on optical link attenuation
Winkler, Aleš ; Křepelka, Václav (referee) ; Filka, Miloslav (advisor)
In this time the metalic wires meet not the requirements of high capacitance and rate wire and so the new, modern fiber wires are more and more being used. This bachelor`s thesis deals with three basic kinds of connections of fiber wires, optical connector, mechanical coupling a optical weld, and their effect on optical link attenuation realized by fiber optics. The optical link is possible realized number of kinds fiber optics. In this thesis are most often used multimod and a little multimod fiber optics. By mechanical coupling are explored their effects of attenuation on optical link a their detrition after disconnection and next connection back to the optical line. For optical weld is explored quality assignet optic welder. For optical connectors is explored their quality of cleanness through apparatus OTDR( Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) and geometrical properties through apparatus FIBO 250.

Memoirs of the empress Catherine II. and Personal correspondence of Catherine the Great and prince Grigory Potemkin in Czech translations
Žídková, Ivana ; Oganesjanová, Danuše (referee) ; Rubáš, Stanislav (advisor)
The objective of this thesis is to compare the books II and II ... with their respective Czech translations. Unfortunately, the second publication is translated from a French original, and therefore we cannot analyze it. Empress Catherine II reigned between 1762 and 1796 and definitely belongs among significant rulers of the Russian empire. The introduction sketches out Catherine's character. We learn that she was quite well-read for her times, she had noble ideas and she was not in a hurry to realize them. She authored many tracts, theater plays, articles and her own memoirs. Those were meant to present her own persona, to justify her actions, and at the same time they were supposed to remain a permanent memory of the empress. Despite Catherine's stylistic ambitions, her writing does not reach the same artistic qualities as that of other writers. Her focus is on the content rather than on the form. That is also one of the characteristics of memoirs that belong to a documentary-artistic literature. Memoirs are likely to contain scholarly themes and that requires special preparation by the translator. The translator should not omit nor add anything and should provide explanation for difficult parts. We were interested in how this translator, Věra Amelová, approached the old-fashioned and challenging text...

Joseph Kramolin (1730-1802)
Doleželová, Markéta ; Mádl, Martin (referee) ; Horyna, Martin (advisor)
As a theme of this diploma thesis I have chosen the personality and work of a baroque painter Joseph Kramolin. He had been working from the fifties of 18th century, till the beginning of nineteenth century. In the introduction of this paper I put the biographical data, in the following part I describe some of his works in chronological order. The painter was very efficient, so part of this paper is also the survey table of his work. After short training in Bohemia, the painter left for Vienna to improve his skills on academy of arts. However, he follows the tradition of czech high baroque art. His work is eclectic and of fluctuating quality. From 1758 he was oblate in Jesuit Order, after the S.J. was abandoned, he settled down in Karlovy Vary and stayed there for the rest of his life. Fresco paintings were the most important in his work, but he still produced also oil-paintings, especially portraits and work on religion subject-matter. In fresco he made a lot of ilussive paintings of altar architectures - for example in Hradec Králové, Tuchoměřice, Litoměřice, Klementinum - Prague, Holany, Chcebuz, Toužim, Mariánská Týnice, Libčany, Třebechovice pod Orebem and others. The very important part of his work were also figural fresco paintings, mostly in provincial churches - for example in Přelouč, Chcebuz,...
