Kvasilová, Anna ; Kovář, Karel (advisor) ; Šeflová, Iva (referee)
Title: Monitoring Students' Physical Activity at Omska's Gymnasium. Purpose: Measure the physical activity level of students at Omska's Gymnasium to determine if the average student meets the prescribed physical standards. Tasks: study the literatura chaose appropriate measurement concepts for evaluating physical activity - take measurements using pedometers - define the research sample monitor through the use of pedometers and informal interviews perform statistical data analysis - compare and contrast the collected data against the theory Methods: The information collected, through the use of pedometers and supporting informal interviews, provided an overview of how students spend their free time and of their nutritional habits. Results: The results proved that the average value of the steps did not reach the prescribed standards. Keywords: physical activity, physical activity of children, prescribed limits, steps

Motion control during hanged object transportation
Richter, Jan ; Davidová, Olga (referee) ; Němec, Zdeněk (advisor)
The Diploma Thesis focuses on examination of most suitable optionsof movement regulation of pendent object from the perspective of various requirements on the course of the process as such. The environment of Matlab-Simulink was used for the analysis. The first part of the Thesis deals with the creation of the model of the whole system and creation of additional models of systems with similar, highly oscillating behaviour. The central part of the Thesis focuses on the design of suitable methods of movement regulation during translocation of the pendent object, which is tested on a simple model of travelling monkey. Four approaches to the problem solving were chosen: simple regulation by PID regulator, branched regulation, state regulation and predicative regulation. All solving options are being analysed and optimised and their results mutually compared according to requirements defined, such as: speed of the process, fluency of the movement, small pose overshoot or small angle of rope deflection.

The meaning of the Little Red Riding Hood fairy tale for school-age children
Čechová, Vlasta ; Kučera, Miloš (referee) ; Klusák, Miroslav (advisor)
The topic of this thesis is focused on the meaning of the Little Red Riding Hood fairy tale for children of the primary school age. The core motive of the fairy tale is the threat of being swallowed up which every child would face if his wish to get rid of one of his parents in order to gain the affection of the parent of the opposite gender was fulfilled. Oedipus Complex is thus at the root of the fairy tale about a cute, innocent girl who is swallowed up by a wolf (Bettelheim, p. 162) and who allowed the wolf to swallow up her grand-mother. Coping with the theme of being swallowed up (e.g. the Oedipal Conflict) throughout the school years, the child psychosexual development is the subject of our analysis. In the sample of children studied, the tendency to choose the Little Red Riding Hood as a fairy tale of special personal importance decreases in inverse proportion to the child's age. This means that the older the pupils are the less likely they are to choose the Little Red Riding Hood fairy tale. The only exception was the second and sixth grade, where we can observe a significantly higher percentage of the pupils choosing the Little Red Riding Hood fairy tale. We suppose that the high proportion of the pupils choosing the Little Red Riding Hood fairy tale in the second grade resulted from sexual...

Constipation - problem of immobile patients
HULIČKOVÁ, Tereza
My thesis deals with constipation in immobile patients. The research was carried out by collecting data using the questionnaire method. The questionnaires were focused on immobile patients of all ages hospitalized in any units in the České Budějovice hospital, Inc. The objective of this thesis was to survey the drinking regimen and eating habits in immobile patients and to analyze their impact on the development of constipation. I set three hypotheses: The first hypothesis suggests that immobile patients´ alimentation does not include an increased requirement for dietary fiber. My research shows that patients´ diet at home contains more fruits, vegetables and whole meal bread. A diet therapist hardly ever comes to see hospitalized immobile patients. Most patients are not on any diet which would limit the intake of particular nutrients. The first hypothesis was confirmed. The second hypothesis suggests that immobile patients do not observe the drinking regimen. The research data analysis shows that patients´ fluid intake is the same no matter if they stay in hospital or at home {--} it is about 1- 2 litres a day. The fluid intake depends on patients´ age, weight and health condition. It is possible to say that immobile patients observe the drinking regimen. The second hypothesis was not confirmed. The third hypothesis suggests that immobile patients do not have enough privacy while they pass stool. They feel ashamed and these feelings also raise the constipation development. There is a lot to improve in this respect, the nursing staff should be aware of the fact that immobile patients need more intimacy at passing bowel motion. It is not surprising that most immobile patients feel the lack of privacy in hospital. In my opinion not enough attention is paid to the question of privacy in hospitals. This has a negative impact on patients´comfort. Patients´ diet should include more dietary fiber. Individual consultations with a diet therapist are advisable for patients. The nursing staff should also focus on the patients´ drinking regimen. The right diet and drinking regimen may contribute to constipation prevention. The empathetic, holistic, psychological and sensitive approach to patients should improve patients´ condition and alleviate their pain. Each nurse should make her best to prevent patients from feeling undignified in hospital.

Construction of Equatorial Fork Mount
Tůma, Jiří ; Matějka, Petr (referee) ; Pavlík, Jan (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with design of equatorial fork mount for astronomical telescope. The issue of space object watching equipment is deeply analysed. The enclosures of analysis are used in design project. Important aspects are accuracy of motion and high resolution of mount. These parameters are compared with series manufactured equatorial mounts.

Napěťová analýza lidských hlasivek
Vampola, T. ; Horáček, Jaromír
A three-dimensional (3D) finite element (FE) fully parametric model of the human larynx was developed and used for numerical simulation of stresses during vibrating vocal folds the collisions. The complex model consists of the vocal folds, arytenoids, thyroid and cricoid cartilages. The vocal fold tissue is modelled as a three layered orthotropic material. The results of numerical simulation of the vocal folds oscillations excited by a prescribed intraglottal aerodynamic pressure are presented. The FE contact elements are used modelling the vocal folds collisions and the principal and shear stresses are computed in time domain on the surface and inside the vocal fold tissue. The results show significant dynamic stresses in all there directions and comparable maxima of Von Mises stresses were obtained for closed and open phases of the vocal folds motion.

Motivation for equestrianism
Hrášková, Anna ; Vomáčko, Ladislav (advisor) ; Turčová, Ivana (referee)
Title of the work : Motivation of the equitation Aim of the work: The goal of this work was to get to know the deep recognition of the motivation of people practising the equitation. We tried to find out not only what kind of people are interested in the equitation but also what are their reasons to take up this activity and finally an answer the question why it became their life philosophy forever. We can ask the question: " What is the real motivation of these people coming back every day to the stable to devote their entire energies to this physically and mentally demanded activity with a very uncertain result?" Methods of processing data : This work is based on the empirical methods of the scientific research as well as the content analysis of the relevant literature together with the officials Internet websites. I have chosen for my work the method of questionnaire investigation/examination/ combined with dialogues. The results were compiled in stats using Excel programme. Key words: Motivation, equitation, interests, needs, interspecies relationship Results: The results of exploration point out that the most important motivation for the horsemen being interviewed is the relationship with a horse, it means with a representative of the different animal species. Apart from this, another...
