Giuseppe Verdi: "Don Carlos" - opera complex scenographic project
Heřmánková, Lucie ; DAVID, Milan (advisor) ; TEMPÍR, Nikola (referee)
This bachelor’s thesis aims to find complex scenographic solution of Don Carlos opera composed by Italian author Giuseppe Verdi. Apart from my own creative solution I also present theoretical chapters of authors biography, relation to his work and I compare several Don Carlos productions by Josef Jelínek who designed six unique costume variations. During process of making the set design I came up with lots of topics to think about. I chose freedom as main topic by studying past productions, libretto and musical part. This topic is one of the key elements of the creative solution and therefore I defined it further in part of this thesis. I am also looking for artistic ways that would be the most suitable and adequate for the opera, musical-dramatic genre, in which music could be more important than libretto. I am trying to find connections to contemporary society and keep the story up to date.

The topic of my bachelor thesis is to process a complex scenographic project to the opera Woyzeck. At the beginning, the work presents the biography of the playwright Georg Büchner and the biography of the composer Alban Berg. It is followed by a plot summary and an analysis of alternative adaptations of Woyzeck. In the final part of my thesis I present a concept to my theoretical part of my bachelor project. One part of my concept is a section with drawings of the stage and costumes. In the appendix there are photos of costumes in the real enviroment.

The absences in the sphere of care about people after spinal chord injury in the Czech Republic
Rosenkrancová, Lucie ; Vodáčková, Daniela (advisor) ; Zinčenková, Kamila (referee)
While writing the thesis, I presume that tha vast majority of people with spinal chord injury (SCI) like paraplegics and quadruplegics are capable according to their intelligence cooperate, and after good treatment and care they can live "normal" social life and earn themselves living. For that they need a big help from their environment, "general public", professionals and state. Therefore I ask following questions: "What do the respondents think of offered services to all people with spinal chord injury?", "Is there in the Czech Republic sufficient comprehensive rehabilitation about people with spinal chord injury?" The aim of this thesis is to describe complications and results of spinal chord injuries (paraplegia, quadruplegia) and with that connected the cure, especially rehabilitative cure. The main aim is to find out the absences in the sphere of care about people on wheelchair in the Czech Republic. I focused on what wheelchair people see as the biggest problem in their lives, how they feel the changes in legislative, medical care, complex rehabilitation, possibilities of job placement and education in the Czech Republic over the past few years. Another aim of this thesis is to find out how the state cares and takes interest of people on wheelchair with spinal chord injury, if the state offers them...

Title of thesis Rehabilitation of Children with Combined Disorders The aim of work The aim ofmy thesis is to process the problematic ofa complete rehabilitation of children with combined disorders, to describe my own experience and knowledge and to substantiate them by an elaborated case study of a child, monitored in the course offour years, together with the description of services provided by Demosthenes- Ústí centre of complex care. Methodology Method The thesis is solved as a case study. Anamnesis data collection about the child, interviews with parents, care of the child, diagnostics and therapy were monitored and carried out in the course offour years, from the age of4 to the age of7,5 ofthe child. Results The long-lasting monitoring of the handicapped child confirmed the importance of the complexity for the rehabilitation of children with combined disorders. Only on the basis of a close cooperation of a multiprofessional team and chilď s parents, it is possible to achieve an improvement in the clinical state, to support psychomotoric development of a person and to enable the child to experience the best situation for an entrance to their further life. The services of a complex rehabilitation provided by Demosthenes - the centre of complex care, fulfill this prerequisite. Keywords Children...

Optimization of supporting services
Fojtík, Aleš ; Kislingerová, Eva (advisor) ; Dvořáček, Jiří (referee) ; Mansfeld, David (referee)
Process optimization became a common practice for vast majority of market oriented companies. However, the focus on supporting services generally starts only after the potential for savings by optimizing the core activities is fully utilized. Emerging trend of passed ten years represents shared services centres, which in fact comprise both of the above components and together with offshoring offer more important cost savings. The aim of the thesis was to prepare a comprehensive material representing a complex overview of the process optimization activities and describe shared services centre as a special option of the optimization that allows maximization of the benefits from optimizing supporting services. The problem, which is being addressed in the thesis, should answer the question if the selection criteria of an optimization project have been influenced by the financial crisis and what is now different. The thesis is in the theoretical part presenting key optimization methods, process mapping techniques as well as recent trends in the optimization and shared service centres area. The market has been importantly impacted by the financial crises and companies re-focus on cost-optimization projects. However, acquiring financial resources became more difficult, which results in the fact that the priority is given to projects which do not require important initial investment and bring cost saving benefits relatively soon. A special attention is dedicated to presenting a clear method for differentiation of supporting services. In the second part is presented an optimization project in a complex and structured way offering a practical guidance of the respective phases, activities performed and pitfalls that may arise in technical or managing aspect of the project. The aim is to present these problematic areas together with measures how to prevent them. For each of the project phases are presented key activities, tools and methods that should mainly contribute to clear idea regarding time and resource planning for process optimization project. The main contribution of the thesis is that it represents a structured material that could be used by management of the company while considering and planning process optimization project. The topic is also presented in a complex way covering both theoretical and practical side of the optimization activities and shared service centres, which is generally not the approach of the authors that either focus on a particular optimization method, project management or theoretical basis of the optimization.

The music of Zdeněk Liška for the movie Markéta Lazarová
Černíček, Jan ; Klimeš, Ivan (referee) ; Gabrielová, Jarmila (advisor)
OBJECTIVES: The work will summarize our current knowledge of the film music composer Zdeněk Liška and create a list of literature on film music complemented with the author's comments. The main objective is a complex analysis of the music in Marketa Lazarová. This does not include the description of the relation between the sound track and picture. The thesis will provide a functional analysis of the music as a part of the structure of the film's expressional devices. METHODICS: The method chosen is a detailed study of available sources on Zdeněk Liška, complex analysis of a wide range of sources on the film Marketa Lazarová (including a copy of the musical score manuscript, handwritten notes by František Vláčil, several versions of the script ranging from the manuscript to a book release) complemented by interviews with close colleagues of Zdeněk Liška and František Vláčil, who were also present at the film production. Another part of the selected methodics is the creation of a system of viewpoints used for the analysis (musical expression, hierarchy of the musical numbers, form of the whole as well as individual parts, use of text, use of silence, use of musical objects internal and external to the picture). SUMMARY: Zdeněk Liška created a complex musical structure that corresponds well to the character...

Art, play and the development of personality
Šašek, Miroslav ; Zuska, Vlastimil (advisor) ; Dadejík, Ondřej (referee)
Art and play are social phenomena with features which could be used in personality development. This thesis is at first plan trying to see what these phenomena are likes. It seems that mentioned phenomena are cultural universalities and that art has a longer tradition of thinking of its subject than play. This thesis tries to say how play manifests itself. Its manifestations are called symptomas and we can find ten of these. We part from works of J. Huizinga, R. Caillois and E. Fink. In this way we get a measure to distinguish among the play and other forms of activities, e.g. little games, riddles, sayings as less structured activities. And sport, outdoor, model and psychological activities as the ones with greater complexity than the play on the other side. We point that a play lies on the aesthetic ground or even that its aesthetic activity is dominant. In the following part we deal with the term art. Across historical use of this notion we come to Jan Mukarovsky's and Nelson Goodman's point of view. Art is a system of signs which not only in functions as means of meaning, but its meaning lies on different symbolical fields from plain sign immediacy to complex reference. At the end of this work we have compared these two phenomena and try to point out to different possible ways of use for personality...

Level of detail AI for a simulation of a large artificial environment
Zíta, Petr ; Poch, Tomáš (referee) ; Brom, Cyril (advisor)
Level Of Detail techniques (shortly LOD) are well known in computer graphics, but they are applied also in complex simulations and virtual worlds (aka LOD AI ). On the same principle we can simplify the simulation of behavior in less important places for user and signi cantly decrease simulation complexity and system resources. In this thesis different ways of LOD AI techniques functioning in particular applications will be studied and then the formal de nitions of LOD AI techniques usage in simulations will be introduced. We will also outline common problems that LOD AI techniques implementations usually face and propose abstract algorithms for solution. We will also introduce additional LOD AI techniques of LOD in uences and LOD expirations with its concrete implementation in framework IVE and include appropriate observations of result quality.
