The Value of CSR for Czech Consumers
Faradji, Elise ; Štěrbová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Seror, Patricia (referee)
Nowadays consumers purchasing behavior is influenced by new factors such as the social and environmental implication of companies. This is why Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a growing trend which companies need to look after carefully. However implementing an efficient CSR strategy is a complex process for corporations; especially since the core concept of CSR remain quite blurry. The goal of this study is to analyze the perception of consumers towards CSR to find out about the value creation that CSR produce for consumers and its impact on their purchasing behavior. This paper will ultimately help companies to implement their CSR strategy more efficiently. This study aims to contribute by conducting an in-depth analysis of consumers attitudes and behavior towards CSR. If most of researchers are using a quantitative approach this study means to deal with the issue with a qualitative perspective. Indeed twelve semi-structured interviews will support the findings. On top of those practical and physical interviews some theoretical knowledge will be added to the construction of the argument especially to bring a framework that shows the importance of all types of value creation (functional emotional and social). The findings of the thesis emphasize the facts already proven by other researchers; value creation is fundamental to make consumers care about CSR. However the study will show how much skepticism towards CSR can impact negatively consumers purchasing behavior. The research will help companies implementing more successful CSR strategy and develop new solutions to reach customers and influence their purchasing behavior through the creation of value for them.

Personality typology during the choice of career
Buriánková, Veronika ; Franková, Emilie (advisor) ; Maňák, Radim (referee)
My dissertation is focused on analysing the importance of personality typology during the choice of career. The theoretical part is aimed at the clarification of related key concepts, summary of knowledge concerning the personality typology and explanation of chosen theories dealing with personality typology. I paid particular attention to the type indicator MBTI, which is subsequently used in the practical part. The methodological part follows the theoretical part. The methodological part delimits the particular phases of the research and together with the theoretical part serves as a basis for the practical part. Within the practical part the personality typology issues used during the choice of career are analysed through the research and subsequently the interpretation of ascertained results is mentioned.

Size effect analysis during cutting and its importance for evaluation of minimum chip thickness
Kraváček, Radek ; Novák, Zdeněk (referee) ; Bumbálek, Bohumil (advisor)
During machining play the size off component deciding role from the viewpoint of their behaviour. This is result of „size effect”, which turns common characteristic cutting process. The aim of diploma thesis was contribute piece of knowledge verification of this effect and the further exploit during machining. The main interest is directed to the relation between the cutting edge and depth of cut.

Ab initio studie Lavesových fází v systémech Fe-Cr, Fe-Mo a Fe-Ta
Houserová, Jana ; Šob, Mojmír
Binary systems Fe-Cr, Fe-Mo and Fe-Ta can be found in many kinds of steels where the Laves-phase can be considered as a potential candidate for strengthening provided size and distribution of the particles are within certain limits. We performed electronic structure calculations to study the thermodynamic and structural properties of the C14 Laves phase with various compositions. In the frame of the thermodynamic study, we have evaluated the total energies of formation of Laves phase structure with different occupations of sublattices (Fe2Fe, Fe2X, X2Fe, X2X, where X stands for Cr, Mo and Ta) with respect to the Standard Element Reference (SER) states. These energies of formation are of great importance for prediction of stability of studied configurations.

Products with Protected Designations of the European Union and Their Position in Regional Tourism
Licková, Kamila ; Kalábová, Markéta (advisor) ; Abrhám, Josef (referee)
The master thesis deals with products with protected designations of the European Union. The main objective of the master thesis is to evaluate the importance of the chosen product with protected designation of the EU in regional tourism and analyse the perception of the product by a producer and by tourists. The sub-objective is the description of the European system of food labelling. The thesis is divided into five main chapters. The first part explains basic concepts which are related to the thesis. The second chapter introduces the best known food quality labels. Greater attention is devoted to the description of the food protection system of the EU. The third chapter deals with the characteristics of the chosen region Beskydy-Wallachia. The second part of this chapter is focused on the chosen protected product Štramberské uši. The forth chapter includes a structured interview with the chosen producer of Štramberské uši and a survey research, which was conducted in two phases. The last chapter contains the evaluation of the implemented survey. The main finding of this thesis is the fact that a relatively high percentage of respondents know the product Štramberské uši. An interesting finding is the fact that only a small portion of them know that the product Štramberské uši is the holder of the protected designation of the European Union. The chosen producer of Štramberské uši sees the main benefit of the label in greater publicity. Among problems he ranks the enforceability of the label and lack of general promotion of Štramberské uši.

Study of influence of organic dye structure on their decomposition in the diaphragm discharge in liquids
Pajurková, Jana ; Fasurová, Naděžda (referee) ; Kozáková, Zdenka (advisor)
The main goal of presented thesis is to study the influence of organic dyes structure on its degradation in diaphragm discharge in liquids. Diaphragm discharge is a kind of non-thermal plasma that can be generated in liquids by the application of high voltage. In plasma channels (so-called streamers), many physical and chemical processes are formed. High electrical field, shock waves and last but not least emission of electromagnetic waves in the range of visible and ultra-violet radiation appear among physical processes. The most important chemical process is generation of active species. These species initiate chemical reactions and could attack molecules of organic compounds contained in water solution. The reason why organic dyes were chosen in this study is its visible destruction, because it is related to its decolouration. Further, UV-VIS spectroscopy for the determination of concentration during the experiment can be used. Organic dyes are good models of organic substance often contained in waste water and for which removal classical biological, chemical and physical methods aren’t sufficient. Selected dyes were mostly from the group of azo-dyes: Acid Red 14, Acid Red 18, Acid Yellow 23, Direct Blue 53, Direct Red 79, Direct Red 80, Direct Yellow 29, Food Yellow 3 and further, Acid Blue 74 (indigotic dye) and Direct Blue 106 (oxazine dye). Experiments were carried out in a special batch discharge reactor with the anode and the cathode spaces divided by a non-conductive barrier, where the diaphragm with a pin-hole was placed. Measurement showed different removal in the anode and cathode space. We have supposed it was caused by different streamers features and energetic conditions. Dyes were decomposed with higher efficiency in the anode space where the final concentration reached 40 % of the initial concentration while it remained about 90 % in the cathode space. In this thesis the influence of dyes structure on the dye decomposition by electrical discharge was investigated. Dyes consisted of small molecules and dyes with many substitutes bounded on aromatic ring were decomposed more easily than dyes consisted of big molecules. The shift of characteristic wavelength on both directions (to shorter as well as longer wavelength) was observed during the experiments especially when the Direct dyes were decomposed. This phenomenon was probably due to the formation of intermediate product, which have different characteristic wavelength than the primary compound. In general, colourfulness is given by long conjugated systems of double bonds with substitutes bounded on an aromatic ring. Each change in the molecule structure provides the colour change and this could be the possible reason of the shift of characteristic wavelength. The other task was the comparison of degradation process efficiency by the mean of electrolysis and diaphragm discharge. Results showed that electrolysis (30 W) was more convenient for degradation of dyes consisted of small molecules while diaphragm discharge (130170 W) suited for complex molecules. For degradation of small molecules, oxidation on the anode assumed to be the most effective process that is initiated by electrolysis. For degradation of big molecules, attack of active species produced by the discharge is necessary.
