Position of occupational therapy in System of Rehabilitation
PULKERTOVÁ, Jindřiška
Rehabilitation is generally understood as a discipline solving mainly problems connected with motor system. However, the concept of rehabilitation is much larger. In fact, rehabilitation is the all-society system where restoration of moving functions is only one of goals on the way to one{\crq}s reintegration into society. There are a lot of professions within this system participating in the process. Occupational therapy is one of them. The main goal of the dissertation is to introduce occupational therapy as a profession, and highlight its range and position in the system of rehabilitation. The dissertation answers the question on what occupational therapy can offer to the people in need of rehabilitation and investigates wether and how occupational therapy intervention can contribute to the rehabilitation proccess. Further more, the dissertation compares the roles of the profession in Czech Republic and Europe and uses the findings to formulate new hypothesis which can be used for a future research. The main approach of our dissertation is qualitative investigation. We chose the type of case study and participant observation. All that was completed with technique of secondary data analysis. In case studies and according to the experience from the London hospital has been discovered that occupational therapy deals with all components participating in execution of human activities. Occupational therapy assesses and provides interventions to improve sensomotoric, cognitive and psychosocial functions. The primary goal of occupational therapy is to enable people to participate in the activities of everyday life. The information obtained from trainee-ship on the Department of Occupational Therapy in London and data has charted and clarified position of occupational therapy. Main difference is in competency of the professionals. In Czech Republic competency are lower and more limited compared to the rest of Europe. Additionally, the number of occupational therapists is lower in our country than is an average in Europe. On the base of obtained information the new hypothesis has been made thereby both goals have been met.

Physiotherapy after total hip joint replacement
ŠUHÁJKOVÁ, Pavla
Pain in a hip joint can dramatically affect the chance of having active life. The recent years have seen a significant progress in the results achieved while implanting artificial hip joints. This type of operation is simultaneously becoming increasingly more often especially when we take into consideration the increasing age of population. Implanting total hip joint replacement results in improving the quality of life, which can only be achieved through interdisciplinary collaboration of doctors, complex rehabilitation treatment, and positive approach of the subject alone. The aim of this bachelor?s thesis was to process case reports of patients after total hip joint replacements and to put together rehabilitation plans for these subjects. With the established objective in mind, the author summarizes outcomes dealing with the issues relating to total hip joint replacement, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and spa treatment following such operation. The research part of the bachelor?s thesis was accomplished by qualitative research. Data were collected by observing, interviewing and analysing documents. The data were gathered by individual in-depth interview and using case reports, which included author?s own observations, a draft of rehabilitation plan and implementation of the therapy, and subsequent outcomes from the assessment of therapy. The research corpus comprised of two patients who underwent a planned total hip joint replacement because they had been suffering from advanced primary coxarthrosis. The research was carried out at an in-patient orthopaedic department of the Hospital Pelhřimov in March 2011, when the subjects were being hospitalised. Quality and appropriately managed rehabilitation allows quicker improvement in the patient?s health following the operation. It is used as a prevention of complications, it improves engagement of functional potential in the operated joint and it consolidates appropriate motion stereotypes. The outcomes of the research confirm that such pre-operational and post-operational rehabilitation carried out during the stay in hospital leads to a decrease or complete removal of pain, an increase in joint?s mobility and muscular power, getting used to walking on flat surfaces and up and down staircases, and the level of independency in everyday activities.

The questionnaires were anonymous and voluntary, in the form of 25 closed and semi-open questions. Hypothesis H1: negative influence of mastectomy depends on the partner ´s attitude and the family support, was proved. Hypothesis H2: mastectomy negatively influences single women and women without children, was also proved. Hypothesis H3: women after mastectomy are of worsened occupational use, was disproved. The research has shown that the question of solving social issue in women after mastectomy is more and more up- to-date. Average age of respondents is 51 - 60 years. JENŠOVSKÝ, JIŘÍ. Bachelor's thesis with the title ?Christian principles in social work? University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. Faculty of theology. Department for practical theology. Thesis supervisor: Dr. Ing. Křišťan Alois, Th.D. The first part of the thesis is focused on the possibility of decrease of the stress impact on the client after his/her arrival into the stationary social facility. It offers possibilities to believing and not believing employees of the facility how to find the way to the client, to recognize his needs and to try to comply with them. In the second part of the thesis I focus on the activities as basal stimulation, sense activation and ergo-therapy. I present these job activities as an additional possibility how to find out the information about the client and how to develop the relationships of the employee in the social services or a trained therapist to the client. In the third part, I investigate by observing with participation the development of the relationship of two believing clients to the believing and not believing social employees. The research deals with reactions of clients in particular daily situations on employee in social services (believing and not believing). The research examines and records acting of the observed clients in various types of mood, during health problems, depression or also in good mood. It tries to present as real picture of acting the observed clients as possible in contact with belief and non-belief of the social employee.

Summary The objeetive of the work was to deseribe therapy by the method of Katharina Sehroth and earrying out an experiment where eurrent ehanges of the spine shape were evaluated in symmetrie and asymmetrie isommetrie aetivation of upper limbs (element based on the Sehroth method) in people with idiopatie seoliosis. The presented work was earried out in a group of 5 adoleseents (girls with idiopatie seoliosis). For evaluation, the shadow moiré topography was used.
