Alternative lifestyle option as being satisfied
BENDOVÁ, Kateřina
The topic of this diploma thesis is Alternative lifestyle as a form of content human existence. This thesis is focused on specification of subculture and I defined the subculture of homeless people, which as I assumed and also as my own research data showed, can demonstrate the content form of human existence. The theoretical part of this thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter constitutes a theoretical scope of this thesis where I put emphasis on social norms and theory of social deviation, which are crucial for homeless people who are demonstrating alternative lifestyle which is significantly different from the lifestyle of mainstream conformist society. Second chapter describes characteristics of homelessness. The third chapter includes procedure of help to homeless people in their life situation. There are also stated social services for homeless people. The last chapter is focused on the alternative lifestyle. I also deal with the topic of voluntary homelessness. The aim of this diploma thesis is description of aspects of lifestyle of the observed subculture of homeless people. The target group consists of 20 homeless people in age from 18 to 70 years. A method of qualitative approach was applied and a method of analysis of case studies was used for data collection. The main technique of data collection was an interview with directions which I used with 10 homeless people who were in asylum house and with 10 homeless people who were present directly at the public areas. In the context of this thesis five research questions were determined. The primary data was coded/indexed and then processed with the framework analysis according to Ritchie and Spencer. The outcomes of the research showed that the most frequent reason for the origin of homelessness is alcohol addiction. Most frequently it is related to single or divorced man and women. The daily regime of homeless people is from a greater half regular. Among the most frequent daily activities in the asylum house can be mentioned watching television, cleaning common areas of the asylum house, fixed activities and drinking coffee. The outdoor activities mostly constitute of collection of metal, cooking, shopping for food and searching the garbage bins. They usually spend winter nights in facilities of social services (doss house, asylum house), in a tent, in makeshift shanties, or in a squat. Most people spend their days with their friends or partners. People who live in public areas are more willing to make some extra money. There was three times higher experience with begging of the people who live in public areas than people who live in asylum houses. People in asylum houses usually pay for day board meals. People who live outside in public areas procure their food in supermarkets, day centres and doss houses and in garbage bins. For homeless people nicotine addiction is more frequent than alcohol addiction. They perform their personal hygiene in the facilities of social services (day centre, doss house, asylum house). They usually get their clothes from social or asylum clothes supplies. They do not live in relationships with partners however people who live in the public areas have more sexual contacts. More than half of respondents do not think about their future. People who live in asylum houses are more satisfied with their life situation, nevertheless more than half of respondents would like to change their life situation. On basis of the results of this research theoretical concepts were induced.

The target is that women see the birth as an important event in the life and not only as unpleasant and painful moments. From the professional point of view the alternative obstetrics consist in the effort to fulfill the wishes of women in labor without endangering the safety of the woman or of the child. In the theoretical part, the possibilities of the alternative ways of birth are summarized with focus on the birth outside the hospital facility, ambulatory births, influence of the environment of the birth room on women during the birth, accompanying persons present at birth and first of all the non-pharmacological way of softening the labor pains. From the pharmacological methods, only the epidural analgesia and spinal analgesia are mentioned in the thesis. The practical part focuses on perceiving the environment by women in labor, her satisfaction with the staff and wishes of women in labor. To treat the given issue and to achieve the postulated goal, the qualitative research examination was chosen. The investigation was performed in the form of the non-standardized talk with women after the birth which have given birth in any hospital in the Vysočina region. The target of the thesis was to find out the needs of women leading to the higher quality of the nursing care during the birth. The target was achieved. Based on the elected target, 4 research questions were formulated. The first research question was: Whose presence as member of the staff is preferred during the birth and what is expected from him/her? The research question number two: How is the environment perceived by women during the delivery? The research question number three: Would the women elect another kind of birth leading based on preceding experience? The last research question number four was: What is seen by women giving birth for the first time as negative factor during the birth? All the research questions were answered. Extraction of beta-Sitosterol from the Stinging Nettle Root with Supercritical CO2
Sajfrtová, Marie ; Bártlová, Milena ; Sovová, Helena
The stinging nettle root contains both polar and non-polar biologically active substances. beta-Sitosterol (BS), the most important component of its neutral lipids, is active in the root extracts used for various alternative medicine treatments, including the reduction of enlarged prostate. Dry roots contaning 0.28 g/kg BS were extracted with CO2 at pressure 12-60 MPa and temperature 40-80 C. Though the maximum yield of BS was only 89 %, its concentration in extract was increased by 13 % compared to the extraction with hexane. Changing vials where the CO2 extract was collected, fractions with double and higher BS concentration could be obtained. The fractionation was simulated using a mathematical kinetic model of multicomponent extraction.

Guiding is for many people not an easily understood business. There are many opinions and views on how people become familiar with the details of this profession. They may understand that this work is interesting, funny and adventurous. In addition, they may understand that the preparation for guides is demanding, requiring a lot of study. Most importantly, guiding is about the transmission of information, the education of clients. The theoretical part of my bachelor's work emphasizes the guide's personality and all the qualities required for this work. The practical part will be the evaluation from the professional guides about their work.

Comparative study of alternative pedagogy and adult education
Erban, Ondřej ; Sycha, Martin (referee) ; Kocianová, Renata (advisor)
Alternative pedagogy and adult education are two independent educational disciplines. They differ in the object of education. In altemative pedagogy it is child who receives schooling while in adult education the one being schooled is an adult. This text maps the history of both of these disciplines as well as their didactic aspects. Subsequently it compares both of these courses of study. In its first part, the work discusses the origins and evolution of a1temative pedagogy and adult education together with the most influentia1 representatives of these disciplines and movements, which have originated within these disciplines or have affected them significantly. This text also deals with interdigitation of the two disciplines over time. In the second part of this text I engage in discussion of didactic principles and didactic methods of a1temative pedagogy and adult education. Compare them, examine their analogy and on the basis of that, I try to provide an opinion on the possibility of mutual collaboration of these educationa! disciplines.
