Somatestezie variability in a group of physiotherapy students
Koudelková, Alena ; Lepšíková, Magdaléna (advisor) ; Čech, Zdeněk (referee)
Dissertation "Variability of Somatesthesis in Students of Physiotherapy " deals with somatosensorical system in its theoretical part. In the practical part, sets of tests - aimed at somatesthesis function testing - are described. These tests are easy to implement and could be objectified. This pilot study was performed on a set of 29 Subjects aged 24 - 30. Selection criteria were set to physiotherapy studies and good health condition. The research ran on FN Motol physiotherapy clinics and lasted from October 2007 until January 2008. Measurements were repeated four times (in random day time), while the interval between examinations were randomly selected 1-12 days. The methodical part closely desribes measurement procedures and performance of each test. The first aim of this dissertation was to create a set of examination tests, concentrated on somatesthesis functions, which could be objectively measured. Further we set a target to find out, if sensomotorical learning effect appears by repeated measurement of same Subject and if quality of somatesthesis functions anyhow changes depending on internal environment status. Současný stav synuzie dřevin geobiocenóz PR Choustník
Slepička, Jaroslav
In this work, in the reservation groups of geobiocoenoses types 4 B 3 -- Fageta typica, 4 BC 3 -- Fageta aceris, 4 C 3 -- Tilia-acereta fagi were found. Average diameter at bend height for beech forest in the main stand is 34 -- 91 cm and height is 22 -- 32 m. Norway spruce average values are 23 -- 34 m height and 41 -- 87 cm thickness. Sycamore average values are 19 -- 31 m height and 24 -- 66 cm thickness. Beech achieved average values at stand basal area on plots from 17.7 to 28.6 m2/ha from the total stand basal area, which is 31,7 -- 43,6 m2/ha. The trend that on the more nitrophilous and hydric plots within the same altitudinal vegetation zone are beech individuals higher was confirmed. The assumption of decreasing growth of beech forest with higher slope and altitude was confirmed. For Norway spruce, sycamore and beech forest on the drier stand a greater spacing was confirmed. The consideration about the dispersion of individuals scattered trees in the reservation due to the spontaneous development of tree populations was confirmed and also was found that the protruding bedrock can diffuse dispersion change to random dispersion

The influence of therapy by Vojta reflex locomotion method on functional abilities of immobile seniors
Černá, Gabriela ; Smékal, David (advisor) ; Zounková, Irena (referee)
This project assesses effects of four -week active rehabilitation combined with Vojta reflex stimulation on mobility of bed-bound seniors. Sixteen female patients were divided into two groups of eight members, i.e. tested group and control group. Both groups were put through training focused on self-support, maintaining or enhancement of range of movement, strengthening of weak muscle groups, stability training, practicing sitting up and lying down from sitting position, and walking in the high walking frame in the case of stronger patients. Besides that the tested group underwent Vojta reflex stimulation (global model of reflex turning), coordination and stability exercise and exercise with rehabilitation tools (elastic band, over ball, small ball, water bottle). In the beginning and in the end of the project the EMS (Elderly Mobility Scale), BI (Barthel Index), and MMSE (Mini-mental State Examination) scales were tested as well as ability to turn from back to side and stability in the sitting position. Statistical comparability of both groups was proved true in the beginning of the therapy by Mann-Whitney test. There was a noticeable tendency towards higher probability of enhancing measured scores in the tested group compared to the control group after the therapy. In case of the EMS this probability was...

The effect of gait training with a prosthesis on stability and parameters in patients with thigh amputation
Tučková, Tereza ; Smékal, David (advisor) ; Kálal, Jan (referee)
Diploma thesis "Effect of gait school with prosthesis on stability and walking parameters of patients after transfemoral amputation deals with problems of patients after transfemoral amputation due to vascular etiology. It mentions elementary knowledge of rehabilitation after amputation of lower extremity. Furthermore, there are described main complications that amputation brings into the patient ́s life: pain associated with amputation, skin complications and psychological hardships. Emphasis is laid on gait and gait practice for patients with amputation. I further deal with deviations commonly observed on gait of these patients and with factors influencing the gait, including the influence of particular parts of the prosthesis on patients ́ gait. The practical part is dedicated to comparison of two different approaches to gait practice. The effect of these approaches is evaluated on the basis of results of two groups of patients. The results were gathered by examination on force plate, measurement of gait velocity, examination of gait cadence and evaluation of patients ́s gait videos. Furthermore, I use functional tests: LCI - 5, ABIS - R, ABC scale and PEQ. All of these examinations were performed at the beginning and in the end of patients ́ stay at the Clinic of rehabilitation in Hradec Králové. The...

Survey of vaccination coverage and vaccination discipline in compulsory vaccination
MAXOVÁ, Marie
The aim of this survey is also to determine vaccination coverage in compulsory vaccination of kids in the first years of life, compliance of vaccine dose timing with vaccination schedule and reasons why some children were not vaccinated. Another goal is to analyse the reasons for some kids in the first years of life being vaccinated late and whether some kids in groups most at risk are vaccinated against tuberculosis. We used a quantitative research method in the form of a cross-sectional study comprised of data collection and analysis. Our research sample consisted of children born in the years 2009, 2010 and 2011 in České Budějovice district. The reason why we have chosen this particular group of children is that (if applicable vaccination schedule had been adhered to) they were supposed to be fully vaccinated against diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, haemophilus influenzae b, Hepatitis B virus, poliomyelitis (DTPHibHB). This group of 831 children (427 boys and 404 girls) have been chosen by random sampling from practising paediatricians. These selected physicians provided us with data about all children born in above mentioned years. The results showed that overall vaccination coverage for Infanrix Hexa vaccine (four doses) is 98.2% and 97.26% for Priorix vaccine (two doses). Vaccination coverage for tuberculosis in the years 2009 and 2010 was 90.05%. In the first years of life, up to 88.1% of newborns were vaccinated against tuberculosis ? at least, according to vaccination schedule (and applicable Order). In the first year of life, 99.9% of children have been given three doses of Infanrix Hexa vaccine against diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, poliomyelitis, Haemophilus influenzae b invasive disease and Hepatitis B virus. In the first eighteen months of life, 97.4% of children in analysed sample were given fourth dose of said vaccine. 68.6% of children were given the first dose of Priorix-Tetra vaccine in the first fifteen months of life. In the following six to ten months, 75.4% of children were given the second dose. Further analysis revealed that in 40.5% of analysed records some vaccine dose timings were not met. The most common reason for vaccination delay was the state of health of the child. Two instances of vaccination delay were also caused by the omissions of parents. In 2010, indication for vaccination against tuberculosis was recorded for one newborn. In 2011, for four children from the analysed sample vaccination against tuberculosis was recommended. In all cases, vaccination against tuberculosis has been carried out in calmetisation centre. Taking into account my study and its results I can safely assume that the goals of my diploma thesis have been met and the hypotheses set forth have been confirmed by the research.

Problem of hygiene educational process in primary schools and potential sources of school strain for ninth-grade pupils
HRDINA, Jakub
The thesis deals with hygiene of educational process and sources of school strain. Theoretical part describes learning, socialization, human needs, specifics and risk of puberty, school strain and its sources, nature of reactions to stress, issue of class climate and abuse. Part of theoretical part deals with prevention and health promotion. Two main objectives have been determined: 1. Map subjective perception of each factors of hygiene of educational process, 2. Investigate the most common sources of school strain which influences health of ninth-grade pupils. Quantitative research methods have been selected for the practical part. Data was obtained through anonymous questionnaire. The questionnaire consists of twenty questions, the first two are identifiable (gender, age) and the remaining eighteen questions are focused on fading of subjective perceptions of the factors of the educational process. Preliminary research on twenty respondents was made before the start of the survey. Collection of questionnaires was made in February and March 2013. Data were evaluated in MS Excel and the results are presented in graphical and tabular form. The research group consisted of ninth-grade pupils of primary schools in Pardubice. The sampling frame was selected by simple random sampling. Each fifteen primary schools were properly numbered and then five of them were drawn lots of a hat. In total, 300 questionnaires were distributed. Although the response rate was 100%, 68 questionnaires remained unfilled, so 232 copies (77%) was evaluated in the practical part. Of the 232 respondents,106 respondents (46%) registered male and 126 respondents (54%) enrolled female. Age of probands was between fourteen into sixteen years. The paper outlines two hypothesis: H1. The boys are satisfied with the quality of the physical factors of the educational process more than girls, H2. The girls suffer subjective health problems more often than boys. For testing of both hypothesis was selected two sample test of significance for the mean value of two sample sizes (Student´s t-test). To verify H1 was necessary to use evaluation of four closed questions related to physical factors of the educational process (illumination, noise, air quality, air temperature). Testing of H2 was mediated by data obtained from question that map frequency of health problems.Because there is no difference between the sexes in the studied phenomena, the expected hypothesis were rejected. The results of this thesis show that pupils are more dissastified with the quality of school furniture than with the quality of physical factors. Non-school breaks from teachers is a fundamental problem. More than 50% of respondents recorded this adverse effect. The issue of homework can not be ignored neither. More than 46% of pupils record having a homework every day or several times a week. Perceptions of pupils that are recorded in the results of thesis and then confronted in discussion may be used as a source of informatiion for teachers of primary schools who will be able to compare the results of the research with data obtained from their primary school.

Lifestyle, the most popular activities and concerns of citizens aged 65 and over.
GAPKOVÁ, Jiřina
Demographic statistics show that nowadays a proportion of seniors is increasingly growing in our population. Therefore it is very important to pay close attention to this group. The threshold age of sixty-five years is mainly associated with a longer retirement age. This turn occurs from day to day when a person has got a much more leisure time and must to cope with it in some way. I focused on the lifestyle, favourite activities and the greatest fear of people over 65 years in my diploma thesis. The thesis concentrates to an interconnection of the lifestyle with the health and the state of health of an individual. The research sample consisted of thirty respondents from the districts of Mladá Boleslav and České Budějovice. The respondents were approached by a random selection. Fifteen respondents, nine women and six men were from the district of Mladá Boleslav, ten women and five men were from the district of České Budějovice. There were established quota criteria - the age over 65, the residence in the district of Mladá Boleslav or in the district of České Budějovice and a willingness to take part anonymously in the research too. The research in the given areas took place in the months from December to March and in various environments: in libraries, shopping centres, traffic means (train, bus) as well as in streets of towns and villages. The results were processed in form of thirty case studies which were written in three areas: the identification, health and lifestyle and leisure time. Transparent tables were developed from the case studies. The interviews show that among the most favourite seniors´ activities belong reading of books, newspapers and magazines, watching TV and doing crossword puzzles. These three the most often and the most favourite activities were indicated both by respondents from the district of Mladá Boleslav and from the district of České Budějovice as well. The respondents´ greatest fear is of their health, it is followed by the fear of losing their children. These two concerns appeared on the top places at both of the groups of respondents. The third frequent fear was mentioned as a concern about the household in the district of Mladá Boleslav and the fear of the loneliness in the district of České Budějovice. Eleven of the thirty respondents said, that they have no fear (five in the district of Mladá Boleslav and six in the district of České Budějovice). The practical part also showed that cultural and social events are attended by nineteen from the thirty respondents, eleven of them do not take part in any events, most commonly for the reason of a poor state of their health or for the reason they do not want it at all. Eighteen respondents participate in sporting events, actively only four of them, twelve respondents do not attend any sporting events. None of them studies Academy or University of the Third Age and seems to be interested in studies. Only two seniors from the district of Mladá Boleslav are members of the seniors´ club. Differences in the lifestyle, favourite activities and the fears between the districts of Mladá Boleslav and České Budějovice are minimal. Following hypotheses can be drawn on the basis of the research, though it would be advisable to check them on a larger number of respondents. ?Seniors´ lifestyle is largely influenced by the state of health.? ?Especially the concern about the poor state of health belongs to the most frequent mentioned seniors´ fears? ?Mainly reading of books, watching TV and doing crossword puzzles belong to the most favourite seniors´ activities.? The diploma thesis could be used as a support of the healthy lifestyle and at the same time it could be used for an expansion or implementation of leisure-time activities for seniors from the districts of Mladá Boleslav and České Budějovice at the age group of people over 65.

Model for monitoring the value of enterprise Informatics: system / deterministic chaotic model
Filippi, Tomáš ; Bruckner, Tomáš (advisor) ; Palovská, Helena (referee)
This study deals with the value of ICT services. Enterprise Informatics is a widespread line of business and it is part of every company. There are not only software and hardware resources in enterprise informatics, but also people belong into and work with informatics every day. Currently, there are new trends how to manage enterprise informatics. Based on the same principles as for the business. A prerequisite for effective management is accurate overview of the costs and benefits. For this purpose there is a group of metrics which ensure measuring the amount of inputs, outputs and quality of services. The value of ICT services should be positive. Benefits should be greater than costs. The aim of this work is to create a model for monitoring the value of enterprise Informatics. Model simulate the dynamics of enterprise informatics and describe all important parameters in terms of value. Model should also find out if there are some external or internal factors, which could bring on some random element complicating the process of effective management.

The comparison of EMG activity of selected muscles during walking and skiing - group LW2
Machač, Jan ; Fořterová, Petra (advisor) ; Kračmar, Bronislav (referee)
Title: The comparison of EMG activity of selected muscles during walking and skiing - group LW2 Aim: The aim of this study is the analysis of the activity of selected muscles of an individual with one-sided, above-knee amputation during walk with an artificial limb, after the mobilisation of the sole, and the comparison with their activity during downhill skiing. Method: This is a case study of a descriptive charakter performed through surface EMG in conjunction with simultaneous video recording. The observation of the kinesiological content of the muscle movement was done through comparative analysis, with the aid of a qualitative analysis of the video recording and a qualitative comparison of the intensity of the electric potential of the selected mescles. Results: Different character of the working of the lower limb during walking with artificial limb and during the performance of a curve on inner and outer egde with one or both stabilisers was shown. With caution, we can characterise skiing as a kinetic aktivity, predominantly of a postural charakter. Free "bipedal" walk, on the other hand, is a locomotion with a predominant character of phasal muscle activity. Key words: amputation, bipedal locomotion, downhill skiing, electromyography.

Banach-Tarski paradox
Klůjová, Jana ; Zelený, Miroslav (advisor) ; Kaplický, Petr (referee)
In the present work we study the Banach-Tarski Paradox and other paradoxical decompositions of sets, groups and semigroups. These decompositions are described especially using free groups and semigroups. We can construct such groups using words made of letters. We study both finite and denumerable paradoxical decomposition. Further we deal with equidecomposability, which we need for a proof of Banach-Tarski Paradox. We present a proof of Banach-Schröder-Berstein Theorem.
