Role of the chancellor in the foreign policy of the Federal Republic of Germany: Angela Merkel

This master thesis is concerned with the role of the chancellor in the foreign policy with respect to the institutional possibilities that the German political system provides him, and also with respect to the personality of the chancellor - it strives to answer the question, if it is possible to identify the personality impact in the chancellor foreign policy positions. As the case example the current chancellor Angela Merkel has been chosen, who serves for a period long enough to carry out the research and who is at the same time well-respected personality abroad. The thesis comes to the conclusion that the chancellor has the rights to intervene in the foreign policy and uses those rights. By means of the discourse and content analysis of chancellor's speeches it has been possible to identify foreign policy preferences of the chancellor which can be associated with her personal life experience.

The analysis of the accounting policy of the selected company

This bachelor thesis is focused on the accounting policy of the company Johnson&Johnson, Ltd. The main purpose of this thesis is to describe the fundamental differences in the accounting and financial reporting between Czech accounting standards and International Financial Reporting Standards. Above all, this thesis deals with the issue of reporting provisions, fixed assets and their depreciation, leasing and related party transactions. These topics are addressed later in the final chapter of the thesis based upon the financial statements of the Johnson&Johnson, Ltd. company.

Recognition of influence of drawing the financial funds of EU on the Czech Republic´s transport policy

Annotation: The main point of this study is to analyze the effect of drawing the financial funds from the European Union for development of the traffic infrastructure in Czech Republic in term of it's transport policy. In the first part of this study I describe and analyze the progress of transport policy in Czech Republic from the earlies 90s till the entrance to EU. In the second part of the study I analyze after which Czech Republic has entered the EU till present and I describe the process of cofinancing by the EU and it's structural funds and Cohesion fund in the budget period from 2004 to 2006 and from 2007 to 2013. Than I compare these two periods and my aim is to find out the influence of drawing the funds on the transport policy in Czech Republic. I also chose two projects and I would like to analyze them. The first project is about building-up the orbital of Holice city, funded only by the state and the second one is about building-up the motorway I/34 Stráž nad Nežárkou, funded by both state and EU. By analyzing these two projects, I am going to find more economically efficient way of financing.

Analysis of the monetory policy of the Central Bank of Russia and its influence on the price stability.

The subject of the study is the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.The object of the study is the monetary policy pursued by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.The aim of bachelor work is the analysis of the banking system and evaluation of the development of the monetary policy of the Bank of Russia.The actuality of this work can not be underestimated, keeping in mind the recent political and economic situation in Russia.The first part presents the general characteristics of the Central Bank and describes the features of the monetary policy.The second part includes the objectives and functions of the Central Bank of Russia, as well as the results of the study of monetary policy for 2014.The third part shows the development prospects of the monetary policy of Russia in the period from 2015 to 2017.

Influence of Accounting Policy of Samsung Electronics Czech and Slovak, s.r.o. on the Results of Financial Analysis

This Bachelor thesis is focused on an accounting policy of the Samsung Electronics Czech and Slovak, s.r.o., company. Especially, connections between accounting methods and financial analysis of the company are studied. The aim of the thesis is to verify the reflection of accounting policy in resulting values of financial analysis. The work includes two theoretical parts; the first one describes the current state of the art of the company's accounting policy, and the second one presents methods used in the enumeration of financial analysis. Afterwards, described procedures are applied in the following practical part where the analysis of specific accounting methods and the financial analysis calculation of the aforementioned company are proceed. The results are compared with company's five major competitors.

Exchange rate policy of People's Bank of China under pressure of yuan internationalization

Chinese economy has reached its export limits and is located in an era of transformation process into new economic model based on domestic consumption and sector of services. Under pressure from foreign entities which require internationalization of yuan as an implementation of free floating exhange rate regime, China must deal with number of problems arising from the process of economic transformation. This thesis examines possible solutions to current problems from the perspective of exchange rate policy of the People's Bank of China.

Decision-making within the public policy shown on the foreign operations of the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis deals with a decision-making within the public policy shown on the approving of dispatching of military troops to Afghanistan by the Parliament of the Czech Republic. The paper uses the theory of historical institutionalism for explaining the decision- making. The historical institutionalism is a theory, which accents the influence of institutions on the decision-making. It also recognises the influence of other variables: context and actors. It is recommended to explore the history to learn which variables are the most important ones. The paper is written on the basis of this point of view. It deals with the history of engagement of the Czech Republic within the foreign military operations, the development of the situation in Afghanistan and reactions of international organizations. It also explores the influence of the main Czech actors on the decision-making.

Policy development and implementation: case study of social housing

The diploma thesis focuses on the process of creation and implementation of public policy which is examined on the social housing policy. The aim of this thesis is to explore how is a certain policy prepared and put into use, considering the social housing policy as an example. Therefore, the key research question inquires how the process of creation and implementation of public policy looks like. The first chapter of the thesis deals with theoretical background of the public policy process, stressing the role of public policy documents. The second chapter describes the area of Czech social politics and policy as a cover for social housing policy development. The third chapter examines the history of Czech housing policies. The final chapter focuses on the development of social housing policy and examines its connections with certain public policy documents.
