Ways of defining the requirements for performance testing software
Vodrážka, Michal ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Strharský, Jaroslav (referee)
This thesis is focused on ways of defining the requirements for performance testing software, both in practice (based on survey) as well as in theory. The aim of this thesis is to analyze ways of defining performance requirements, which are actually used on IT projects. In order to achieve this goal it is necessary to define concepts of performance testing, implement and evaluate the survey of the using ways of defining performance requirements in practice and then analyze ways of defining performance requirements in terms of their applicability to different types of IT projects. The contribution of this thesis is the comprehensive introduction performance testing software issues and mainly insight into ways of defining performance requirements used in practice and problems associated with them, through the survey, which was implemented and evaluated by myself. The conclusions resulting from this survey summarize which ways of defining performance requirements are applied to specific types of IT projects, which of these ways worked and which problems in certain cases that occur in practice. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part explains the basic concepts associated with performance testing software. In this part, there is also described the methodology of defining performance requirements according to Tom Gilb. The practical part is focused on the realization and evaluation of survey of the using ways of defining performance requirements in practice and on the analysis ways of defining performance requirements with respect to certain types of projects.

Evaluation of supplier risk
Czeczotková, Iveta ; Mayer, Jan (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
This dissertation deals with the risks which are connected with selecting the suitable suppliers of computer components for the Weps s. r. o. company. The selection of the supplier is realized by the use of fuzzy logic. Theoretical bases are also described in this dissertation. Moreover, there is an analysis of the risks and a proposal for the solution to this problem in the Microsoft Excel and Matlab programmes. The result of the dissertation should provide an instrument for objective evaluation of the suppliers, which is the company in collaboration with.

Valuation of employee stock options in accordance with IFRS 2 at fair value basis
Červený, Martin ; Mařík, Miloš (advisor) ; Strouhal, Jiří (referee)
This master's thesis is dealing with the topic of employee stock options (ESOs), primarily with the valuation of ESOs in accordance with the accounting standard IFRS 2 at corresponding fair value basis. The goal of this thesis is a critical analysis of the standard mentioned, with respect to the conditions of the Czech Republic. The theoretical part comes with the basic characteristics of employee stock options and explains how the traditional option-valuation models can be modified for the purpose of ESOs valuation. It is also concerned with discussion about fundamental features of the fair value basis necessary for the valuation process. The essential part of this thesis is the critical analysis focusing on the rationality of accounting methods, disclosure requirements and also on a theoretically correct determination of model inputs. Critical analysis is followed by case study aimed on evaluation of an authentic option plan. The practical part also demonstrates advanced methods of valuation using the Black-Scholes and the binominal models as well as the Monte Carlo simulation. In the conclusion, I present proposals for changes of the IFRS 2. According to the results of the critical analysis, supported by case study, greatest shortcomings were identified in the disclosure requirements. Proposals for changes are aimed mainly on this problem.

Analysis of Genetic Algorithm
Snášelová, Petra ; Žák, Jakub (referee) ; Zbořil, František (advisor)
This thesis deals with analysis of genetic algorithms. It is focused on various approaches to creation of new populations. A comparison between basic principles of operation of genetic algorithms and processes occurring in living organisms is drawn here. Some methods of application of particular steps of genetic algorithms are introduced and a suitability of the methods to certain types of problems is considered. The main goal in the thesis is to apply genetic algorithms in solving three types of optimization problems, namely the solution of functions with a single major extreme, functions with flat (slight) extreme and also functions with many local extremes.

Hasan, Maher Mohamad ; Král, Petr (advisor) ; Cook, Gina (referee)
The important problems for marketing companies in the Czech Republic are how to exposure determinants that lead consumer to decision of buying certain products and which factors influence the consumer purchasing, Through this, Czech marketing companies can understand deeply their consumer behaviour and issue suitable strategies so they can develop their companies and whole industry more. The objective of the study is: To exploit the factors that influence buying decision when buying certain product (water) for young consumers in the Czech market. This thesis contributes to the current academic research through; 1. It can identify the factors affecting the consumer behaviour in the Czech market for a certain product. 2. It can contribute to the next academic research as a reference. 3. Researches can use the findings to gain deep understanding of the consumer decision when buying certain product categories in the Czech Republic.

Anti-Aging as the Support of Independence in the Old Age
Tichá, Michaela ; Vorlová, Marie (advisor) ; Jelínek, Martin (referee)
This bachelor thesis titled Anti-Aging as the Support of Independence in the Old Age covers the topic of population aging, which nowadays becomes particularly topical. The work describes the position of the Czech Republic on this problem and what measures are being prepared to overcome issues related to this topic. The thesis builds on the document "Národní plán přípravy na stárnutí na období let 2008 až 2012" (The National Aging Preparation Plan for 2008 to 2012) prepared by the Czech government and on a new medical field known as the anti-aging medicine. The author attempts to compare both attitudes to population aging and to draw conclusions that might lead to a solution of these issues to which the current society is being exposed. Heigh effective condensation boiler feeded by natural gas
Renfus, Jaromír ; Fortelný, Zdeněk (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The dissertation is concerned with a problem of condensing boilers. The attention will apply to the condensing boiler which is filled in an absortion springle for a better an-nealing of exhaust gas. On this account the dissertation is possible to divide by some parts. There is a generally resolution of a condensing boiler´s principle and an effective annealing of exhaust gas for low temperatures in the first part. A description of an ab-sorption circulation follows in the second part. A practical part solves a suggestion of the condensing boiler with an absorption afterheat removal springle, an assesment of working parameters and a calculation of heat transfer surfaces. A technoeconomic ana-lysis of a proposed arrangement is made in the final part.

Design of total station
Rozehnalová, Magda ; Chorý, Tomáš (referee) ; Křenek, Ladislav (advisor)
This diploma thesis presents a design solution of a total station. The proposal is processed especially with regard to technical, ergonomic and aesthetic requirements. The main inovation of the proposal lies in a complex ergonomic and aesthetic solution that better reflects modern trends in the field of surveying technology. In comparison to current designs of the device, new proposal of the total station perfectly integrates certain parts of the device, such as a control panel. Since it is a relatively small device, it is important to design all details properly, especially the form and arrangement of controls. The thesis also suggests a number of alternative solutions to particular problems. The proposal of a total station is suitable for various types of work and methods of surveying.

Macroscopic gravity
Kašpar, Petr ; Žofka, Martin (referee) ; Svítek, Otakar (advisor)
Due to the nonlinearity of the Einstein equations it is possible to obtain modified equations of the general relativity (with application in cosmology) just by averaging. One of the first covariant approaches to this problem is the theory of Macroscopic Gravity. Next proposed possibility is to first characterize spacetime by the Cartan scalars and then to proceed averaging procedure.
