British VS. American English – A comparative study

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na porovnání rozdílů Britské a Americké angličtiny, dvou nejrozšířenějších variací anglického jazyka, který je po celém světě využíván ať už jako mateřský jazyk nebo vyučovaný druhý jazyk pro snazší mezinárodní komunikaci. Práce se stručně zabývá historií jazyka a následně rozebírá rozdíly v oblastech gramatiky, výslovnosti a slovníku s příklady dané problematiky. Práce rovněž pojednává o kulturních vlivech, které ovlivnily vývoj jazyka. Pro práci jsem použil knižní a internetové zdroje. Hlavním cílem bakalářské práce je poskytnout a ukázat jakým způsobem se jeden jazyk může lišit na základě odlišné národnosti.
The origin and the development of representation of Buddha and bodhisattva in the Gandhāran art

This diploma thesis concerns the iconography of early Buddhist art in India, especially in the region of ancient Gandhāra. It follows the development of representation of Buddha and bodhisattva from an aniconic type to establishment of anthropomorphous form during the reign of the Kushaṇas. It outlines the influence of the Hellenistic world on this form and tries to give a summary about the mixture of the symbolic and stylistic patterns as well as their further development in the later Buddhist art.
Vliv receptury na kvalitu čokoládových výrobků v průběhu jejich skladování

The thesis deals with technology of production of chocolate. There are described different technological processing steps of the cocoa beans, such as fermentation, drying and roasting and grinding. There are also characterized by the manufacturing steps of chocolate by mixing, via rolling, conching and tempering. The study also discusses influences on the shelf life, mainly due to the composition. There is a brief description of cacao, using raw materials for the production of chocolate and defects that may vary with chocolate and chocolate products occur. In the practical part of the diploma thesis, samples of retemperated and unretemperated milk and bitter chocolate were stored for 3 months and then sensory analysis and texture measurements were made. The sensory analysis was performed before and after the storage of the samples. In conclusion, the effect of the composition on the shelf life was evaluated, an option designed to improve the stability and shelf life of chocolate and chocolate products.

The bachelor thesis deals with production characteristics of pigs. At first, the basic production characteristics, fattening and slaughter value are characterized. Fattening is mainly determined to the average daily gain and conversion of nutrients from the feed received. Carcass value is determined by the quantitative and qualitative characters that affect it. In relation to the slaughter value, carcass yield and carcass body are characterized. Another part of the bachelor thesis is devoted to the description of factors that influence production performance. The internal factors are the influence of the breed or hybrid combination, the influence of age or weight, the influence of genetics and the influence of the endocrine system in relation to the influence of gender. Furthermore, the thesis deals with characteristics of external factors influencing the productive performance traits, namely nutrition, housing and the influence of handling with pigs before slaughter. The last part shows the current productive performance level of pigs in the Czech Republic.

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of Influence of China and Russia on Vietnamese foreign policy. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. Using a comparative approach, the thesis analysis connections between historical events and today’s events. The theoretical framework is based on concept of soft and hard power, also mentions concepts of power and influence, alongside with a hedging strategy demonstrated on territorial disputes in the South China Sea and on Russian – Vietnamese relations, where the thesis is based on the use of Russian tools of soft power and military ties.
