Positive and negative impact of biomass combustion on environmental

This bachelor thesis is specialized research dedicated to the issues of combustion biomass. It presents fundamental problems of process of combustion biomass as well as significant influence of its production to environment. First part of thesis is dedicated to the definition of biomass, division and impact of biomass as fuel to environment. Second part deals with process of combustion and with related pollution.

Influence of the municipal waste dump on the environment

This bachelor thesis deals with the potential influence of the waste dump on the environment, particularly on the water quality close to waste dump. The experimental part is focused on the identification of organic compounds in samples of water from monitoring wells and in samples of surface water from stream and pond. Solid phase microextraction (SPME) was employed for the isolation of organic compounds and gas chromatography with mass spectrometric detection (GC/MS) was used for their analysis. Obtained results were evaluated and their interpretation was done.

Economical and environmental aspects of biogas station in Drahobudice

The topic of my master thesis is analysis of farm biogas station in Drahobudice. It is machinery, which processes agriculture crops and garbage from animal produce. From these substrates is produced biogas and burning of this biogas arises electric and thermal energy. This system of production from renewable resources is in accordance with demands of European union on reducing emissions from burning fossil fuels. This thesis contains overview of legislation relevant to given issue, describes development of this project, technical solution and process of operation. A part of this work also covers analysis of economic efficiency this investment and considers effects on environment. The main objective of my thesis is to identify, analyze and evaluate economical and environmental aspects of biogas station in Drahobudice.
