VDSL2 vplus and G.fast technologies and their testing
Vehera, Vladyslav ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Šilhavý, Pavel (advisor)
This semester work focuses on the basic characteristics of the VDSl2 and G.fast technologies that allow to transfer data using old telephone lines. The theoretical part of the work describes the main parameters of all currently known profiles for VDSL and G.fast. There is also a description of DMT modulation, used in both types of DSL connections. Moreover, the theoretical part presents a vectoring technique that helps to increase the data transfer rate using a twisted pair. The work also provides methods for testing networks using the recommendations of RFC 2455, ITU-T Y.1564 and RFC6349. The practical part of this thesis contains all conducted tests and measuring, which were described in detail. The results od these tests were presented in the format of graphs and tables.
Vectorized Point Clouds for Mobile Robotics
Creation the taskbar in the program MicroStation for vectorization topographic map
Zvonek, Lukáš ; Andělová, Pavla (referee) ; Berková, Alena (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the creation of a task panel in a program MicroStation Powerdraft V8i, which can be used in principle for any vectorization or drawing of the actual state. The thesis includes detailed instructions for creation the taskbar for vectorization topographic map. The taskbar is created on the basis of the Direction for Processing and Drawing of Topographic Maps.
G.fast transmission technology
Zvařič, Filip ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Šilhavý, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on G.fast and VDSL2 technologies and their comparison. G.fast has the prerequisites for replacing VDSL2 for short distances. This work describes in detail the modulation techniques of both DSL technologies - DMT modulation used by both technologies. The aim of this work is to create a software for comparing the transfer rates of all profiles of both technologies, including the effects of far-end crosstalk. This is performed in the Matlab environment. This work describes how the program works and how to run the simulations. The results of selected simulations and their charts are enclosed in this work.
Ray-Tracing Using SSE
Kučera, Jiří ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Havel, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis describes the acceleration technique of ray-tracing method using SSE instruction set. Choosing the parallel tracing of four rays enclosed in one beam turned to be the best way of using SSE effectively. Also the vectorization of algorithms which are used in ray-tracing method was implemented. The solution of beam splitting was designed and implemented too. The time for rendering image was monitored in the tests - one for case when the beam includes all the rays and one for case when there is just one ray in the beam.
Parallelisation of Ultrasound Simulations on Intel Xeon Phi Accelerator
Vrbenský, Andrej ; Hrbáček, Radek (referee) ; Jaroš, Jiří (advisor)
Nowadays, the simulation of ultrasound acoustic waves has a wide range of practical usage. As one of them we can name the simulation in realistic tissue media, which is successfully used in medicine. There are several software applications dedicated to perform such simulations. k-Wave is one of them. The computational difficulty of the simulation itself is very high, and this leaves a space to explore new speed-up methods. In this master's thesis, we proposed a way to speed-up the simulation based on parallelization using Intel Xeon Phi accelerator. The accelerator contains large amount of cores and an extra-wide vector unit, and therefore, is ideal for purpose of parallelization and vectorization. The implementation is using OpenMP version 4.0, which brings some new options such as explicit vectorization. Results were measured during extensive experiments.
Raster to Vector Conversion
Siblík, Jan ; Venera, Jiří (referee) ; Šilhavá, Jana (advisor)
This bachelors thesis inspects an issue of converting a raster image into vector representation. It describes theoretical basis for image preprocessing techniques, theory and means of edge detection and some possible techniques of image vectorization. It also desribes designing and realization of a demostrative aplicetion, which is the programming part of this thesis.
Ortophotomap creation in the PhotoMod System
Sládková, Veronika ; Hanzl,, Vlastimil (referee) ; Kalvoda, Petr (advisor)
The subject of bachelor’s thesis was creating orthophotomap in the locality of Brno - Slatina. Processing of the entire project was made in software Photomod 4.3, which is a product of Russian company Racurs. For the process of making was neccesary to do aerotriangulation and adjust of aerial photographs, to create a digital model of the relief and from that the resulting orthophotomap. The overall result of the work has been compared with geodetic surveying.
Algorithms for browsing 2D maze
Chvíla, Lukáš ; Jelínek, Aleš (referee) ; Žalud, Luděk (advisor)
This thesis describes an automatic path finding method in a 2D maze defined by bitmap evidence grids. The problem was solved in the programming language C# with the help of the straight line decomposition algorithm used for creating a network of potential routes. The algorithm assumes approximation of obstacles by vector polygons. The resulting path was found by the means of algorithm A*. The result is a path described by line segments. After some modifications, the path could be used for robot navigation.
Problematika mokřadů vzniklých na odvodněné zemědělské půdě
Bartoníčková, Petra
The bachelor's thesis entitled "The problem of wetlands created on drained agricultural land" presents a proposal on how to use a drainage system to bring water to wetlands that have been artificially created on the land. The subject is dealt with on a specific site in the cadastral area of the municipality of Uherčice. The site is described in detail, the analysis of the constructed drainage system and the constructed wetlands is carried out. Part of the analysis is vectorization of drainage systems in Arc-gis software. The proposed solution is to construct control structures on the drainage network and bring water into the drainage network. The design of the water source has two options, directly from the Svratka River or from its dead-end branch. Furthermore, a practical example of a wetland that has formed naturally on the drainage system as a result of a fault is presented in the paper.
