Drug-dependent mothers in the Therapeutic community Karlov and the importance of guilt in child upbringing

Background: Women with substance abuse problems have distinctive features and face many difficulties arising from their gender specificities. Among them, motherhood is significantly represented, which, combined with the abuse of addictive substances, fundamentally changes its profile, from experience, to the way these women relate to their children. These ways are burdened with many experiences, processes and emotions, which subsequently block the establishment of appropriate education. Aim: The aim of the thesis was to find out whether women with addiction problems feel guilty and shy in relation to their children, or map out where these feelings come from and what forms them. Another key objective was to reveal whether these feelings could create barriers in relation to the child, and especially in education. The last goal of the thesis was to evaluate whether, in addition to these determinants, other variables occur, or which ones are entering into the process of remediation. Methodology: Data collection took place in spring 2019 in the Therapeutic Community Karlov. Educational styles in current family types

This final bachelor thesis deals with the topic of educational styles, their types and use in upbringing. In connection with them, the topic of family is mentioned, in which individual styles are used to educate offspring. The thesis consists of two main parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, education is defined from the perspective of past the present. Its gradual development and various views on this issueis also mentioned. In this half of this work, the other larger chapter is devoted to the already mentioned family. Its nature, types, functions and members. The practical part describes the research survey results, which was carried out by the method of interviews with children from different types of families. There are particular answers and situations. It also describes the comparison and insight into the life of selected families. The practical part's conclusion is a summary of the research findings.
Non-formal education of children: How the family affects the choice of extracurricular activities

This bachelor thesis deals with the non-formal education of children, focusing in particular on the description of factors influencing college-educated parents when choosing extracurricular activities for their children, who spend an average of 5 hours per week in extracurricular activities. In the thesis, I focus on primary school children as at this age parents are the key factor that affects children's education and they are the ones from whom the patterns of behaviour and values are transmitted. The aim is to find out what influences parents in choosing extracurricular activities, the extent to which children are participating in the selection and how parents share their roles in providing extracurricular activities. In the research eleven interviews were conducted, on which content analysis was carried out accordingly. The result is a description of factors that affect all parents to a similar extent as the child's personality, interest, age, and the distance of extracurricular activities from home. The main findings are different concepts of non-formal education of some respondents, their distinct levels of control and intervention in the selection, and various ideas as to how their child should spend time. The Rules in Kindergarten Classes

The bachelor degree thesis analyses the system of rules in kindergartens. Its theoretical part deals with the education and moral development of child, describes the educational styles and resources, which allow children to interiorize rules. It also refers to a role of kindergartens with regard to the borders. Last but not least, it deals with the question, how to set up rules correctly, it describes rule-making procedures and monitoring its functionality in kindergartens. The practical part of this thesis evaluates the results of the research that has been realized through questionnaires and interviews. The data obtained reflects the rules applied in kindergartens, rule-making procedure, compliance with the rules as well as personal experience of pedagogues.
The Utilisation of educational books (by parents) for educating their preschool children

This Bachelor thesis deals with the use of specialised literature (educational books) by parents in the upbringing of their preschool children. The main objective is to determine what the reasons are for utilisation of specialised books on education, what it is that parents looking for in the selection of such literature and their expectations. The theoretical part contains chapters on upbringing, education styles of parents, families or development of preschool children. The practical part is focused on the results of research using both quantitative methods questionnaires, and qualitative interview.
Analysis methods of work at a boarding form of preventive educational care

This master thesis deals with the importance of preventive educational care where educational care centres belong. More specifically the thesis is focused on Educational Care Centre in Domažlice. The theoretical part characterizes the principle of stay in hall of residence and mainly the methods and forms of work which are used during working with clients. Furthermore, it describes the cooperation with other subjects and organizations which the educational care centre cooperates with and in this way supports the client to improve his/her behaviour. For the practical part, the qualitative research was chosen with the usage of designs of case study and especially the methods of grounded theory. The research was focused on the influence of the methods and forms of work on the change, reducing or eliminating already developed behaviour disorders. The influence is evaluated from the clients and their parents' perspective. On the grounds of the research the responses on the research questions are formulated at the end of the thesis. Familian raising of a child attending a kindergarten employing a respectful approach

This bachelor's thesis is focused on the education of children within families, whose children are attending a nursery school with a respectful approach. The theoretical part deals with the topics of education, influences on education and educational manners. It defines family and institutional education as well. It approaches two current educational trends: respectful education and non-education. The practical part presents results of the quantitative research realized in the form of questionnaire. The questionnaire itself plots educational attitudes and manners in particular families, whose children are attending a nursery school with a respectful approach, and it observes the potential similarities or significant differences between school and family education in approach to the child as well.
The influence of the family educational style on the child's self-affirmation development.

This thesis deals with the influence of family educational styles on sound child's selfconception development. Its goal is to describe and search the selfconception phenomenon as one of the key categories of a human personality in relation to a family educational style effect. In the theoretical part there is a survey of substantial information concerning the selfhood-psychology and the family psychology. Particularly it deals with selfconception description and all its components and aspects and it gives us a systemic view of a family and its educational styles. The empirical part of the thesis brings the results of a quality research that was carried out as narrative interviews. Their categorial analysis has shown that sound selfconception is influenced not only by the family educational style, but also by other crucial facts. Mainly it is the question of an individual's resilience which can act protectively in relation to prospective negative family education influence. In the empirical part of the thesis there are also mentioned other possible perspectives of extending the current research.
