Conflicts of jurisdiction in international procedural law (on example of cross-border divorces)

The dissertation thesis deals with jurisdictional conflicts in private international law (procedural), by positive conflicts when two or more courts of different states consider that they are competent to hear and decide on case of litigation, and by negative conflicts of jurisdiction when all courts consider, on the contrary, that they are not competent to decide. Jurisdictional conflicts are examined in terms of international divorce of marriage, in this thesis. We deal with their causes, consequences and possible solutions at national, EU and international level.

This master’s thesis is focused on typification and unification of consumer products. Thesis focuses itself on analysis of typification and unification solutions used at chosen product which is optical disc drive. Author also adds his own ideas on how to further develop typification and unification and thus make production more effective. The last part of this thesis deals with the technical – economic assessment of the solutions used at chosen mechanics and author’s ideas.

The subject and main aim of this master's thesis, "Florence through the ages in selected works of Vasco Pratolini" is to introduce author writing in the 20th century, and his native city - Florence. We observe which means the author create the image of the city (places, characters, atmosphere, but also events) and how the image is changing over time, especially due to the historical - political context. We gradually introduce several faces of city of Florence. This thesis is based on three major works, three novels: Il quartiere (1943), Cronaca familiare (1947), Metello (1955). Military criminal law (1918-1938)

130 ABSTRACT This Master's degree thesis deals with the problematics of the military criminal law in the Czechoslovak Republic between 1918 and 1938. I have chosen this theme for several reasons. First of these reasons is, that this subject mingles two legal disciplines - legal history and criminal law. Concurrently it is a topic, that has not yet been widely written up. The reason is that in both law disciplines combined in the theme of interwar criminal law, it is a marginal area of interest. Existing works in most cases focus only on a constituent parts of the problematics. In the second group of works the topic was chosen too widely and the character of resulting outputs was enumeratives, withnout providing context. The purpose of this tesis is to provide a global view on the matter of our military criminal law in the begining of 20th century and within this view then further focus on its dominant elements. The work is based mainly on the legislation effective in the given period, and the commented wordings. Another valuable source for the elaboration of the thesis were historical publications, although recent papers were not excluded. The topic of my diploma thesis is "The sales contract in international business transactions". The development of international trade is currently thriving, as evidenced by the fact that the significance of the international trade in the Czech Republic continues to grow. The reason I chose this topic is that the international sales contract is one of the most important contract in the field of international trade and I decided to expand my knowledge on that field. The diploma thesis analyzes the international sales contract in relation to the historical development of the term international sales contract, to its definition, legislation and unification efforts in the field of international sales contract legislation. The diploma thesis is structured into three chapters. The first chapter is devoted to the term sales contract in international business transactions. It contains the basic characteristics of the sales contract in Czech law, the characteristics of the term international business transactions and the largest part of this chapter is concerned with the historical development of the international sales contract and United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, as the basic legislation in relation to the international sales contract. Deduplication methods in databases

In the present work we study the record deduplication problem as an issue of data quality. We define duplicates as records having different syntax and the same semantics and which are representing the same real-world entity. The main goal of this work is to provide the overview of existing deduplication methods according to their requirements, results and usability. We focus on the comparison of two groups of record deduplication methods - with and without the domain knowledge. Therefore, the second part of this work is dedicated to the implementation of our method which does not utilize any domain knowledge and compare its results with the results of commercial tool deeply utilizing the domain knowledge.
