Implementation of Ethic Education as a Supplementary Educational Subject at primary school

This PhD thesis describes the ways of implementing the supplementary educational subject of ethics education into the educational system in Czech society. The primary focus is on the teaching of prosocial behaviour at primary school. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the redudant repeating background of the PhD thesis topic was collected. Prosocial behaviour was defined as positive social behaviour with active participation in solving a specific life situation, where helping others is not connected with the expectation of reward. The presented methods of socialization of pupils were divided into directive and recommended non-directive methods promoting a positive classroom climate. Characteristics of moral growth in younger school-age students were viewed from several criteria. The concept of ethical education in curriculum documents in the Czech Republic and abroad was characterized. The empirical part describes qualitative research with a case study design. Data collection was carried out by direct observation, semi-structured interviews and analysis of school artefacts. Healthy peer relationships within the context of inclusive education at the second stage of primary school

The main aim of my Bachelor thesis is the issue of relationships between children of the same age within the common education ? inclusion on the secondary school. School surroundings is a very important and significant factor, which helps childern to break out of dependence on adults and leads to self-reliance and responsibility. The significant part of the school surroundings are classmates and the class teacher. Their function is to form not only the climate of class, but also the climate of school. The inseparable part is also the assistant of the teacher. The aim of my thesis is to describe situations how can the pubescence pupil, who has a light brain disorder feel in school surroundings and how perceive it its classmates.
A pupil with extraordinary talent in primary school

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of exceptionally gifted pupils in the first stage of primary school. It is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. Its theoretical part is focused on illuminating the basic concepts associated with the topic of talent. Its aim is to introduce the basic types of talent and their possible combinations together, to characterize gifted and exceptionally gifted students, to state possible ways of their identification and to present principles and possibilities of work in their education, together with support in leisure activities. It also provides an overview of legislation that deals with the upbringing and education of the gifted. In the practical part, a survey was conducted with the help of interviews, together with an analysis of documents and subsequently case studies were prepared focusing on the needs of individual exceptionally gifted students, their parents and teachers in the entire educational process.
The use of canistherapy when working with the class team at the first stage of primary school

In this graduation thesis I am focusing on making and suporting the beginnings of first graders in elementary school thru canisterapy. The aim is to make an education that would support progress and desired interactions in classes. Particular aim of thesis is divided into two parts, first is theoretical part which describes education in elementary schools, classroom climate and term canistherapy. Second part is practical which contains education and resulting evaluation. The results of this thesis may be used by educationalists in elementary schools in their work or by volunteers with therapeutical dogs while coming into classes.
The perspective of the classroom climate regarding a child suffeing from a chronic illness

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of a pupil with chronic disease and his/her impact on the class environment. In the theoretical part, the characteristics of selected chronic diseases are processed, as well as basic information about the disease in connection with the psyche. It is followed by school legislation concerning pupils with special educational needs, the topic of the school class as a social group and basic information regarding the environment of the class. In the practical part, interviews with chronically ill pupils and their class teachers are processed as well as the questionnaires which were filled out by classmates of the pupil with the disease. The research survey focuses mainly on the feelings of the pupil with chronic illness in the school environment, the attitude of the teacher towards the ill pupil and its impact on mutual relations in the classroom. Pupils with chronic diseases who participated in our research survey have no problem with integration into the classroom.
Psychohygiene as an integral part of a personal development nursery school teachers

This thesis deals with mental hygiene topic. It tries to looks at this discipline in opportunity of personal development nursery school teachers. Therefore theoretical part describes psychohygiene task in education and upbringing children and its interconnect with teachers vocational competences at first. Next chapters apply to few selected psychohygienic areas with personal development ambitions including self-discipline, self-actualization, resilience and regimen. One chapter is devoted also to stress and burnout syndrome and its management,which is relating to teachers profession. Following practical part of thesis introduces research results. Its research targets were to probe nursery school teachers psychohygiene attitudes and practice. Further to discover which ways are the teachers supported in mental health and how they perceive it and also to focuse on teachers reflection of connection their state of mind with class moods. This qualitative research was conducted in the form of in-depth interwiews.

Classroom climate at a primary school

The thesis deals with the class atmosphere in the 4th year of primary school. The topic is the transformation of a negative class atmosphere into a positive one. The aim was to find methods and forms of working with the class to improve the atmosphere in the class. In the theoretical part of the thesis we deal with the topics of a school class, the atmosphere in the school and in the class, indiscipline in the class, and the teacher's care for the atmosphere in the class, which is related to the addressed problem in the class. The practical part of the thesis is action teaching research. The aim of the action teaching research was to assess the specifics of the 4th year in terms of nurturing the classroom atmosphere, particularly when a negative class atmosphere arises. Through active teaching research, which included observations by the teacher, consultations with experts, and diagnostics of the class using a questionnaire titled "Our Class", the problem in the specific class was resolved and the objective of the thesis was fulfilled. Specific methods leading to an improvement of the situation in the class are described in the practical part. I believe that these methods are generally applicable and can be used in practice by other teachers, and not only those who are starting their career.
The role of the primary school teacher in creating a school classroom climate and his/her impact on school success

This diploma thesis deals with the influence of the teacher's personality on the classroom climate and school success of pupils. The theoretical part deals with the three basic areas described in the individual chapters - the personality of the teacher, the classroom climate and its actors and components, and last but not least, school success. The topic of motivating pupils in teaching also corresponds to school success, especially at present. In the practical part, the thesis presents the results of qualitative research conducted in the third grade of primary school, which is very specific in its composition, the school itself includes a special program for exceptionally gifted students and currently also educates a large number of students with different mother tongue. In addition, students with specific learning disabilities also appear in the classroom. The three areas described in the theoretical part are mapped by the methods typical for qualitative research, participatory observation, through observation sheets of own production and inspired by scientific literature, and a semi-structured interview with the class teacher.
