Witness and his protection in criminal proceedings

The thesis deals with witness in criminal proceedings. The thesis defines witness as a person, it states witness's rights and duties, the most important duty is witness general duty, recognition, confrontation, investigative experiment and reconstruction. The thesis concisely deals with interrogation of the witness and with special interrogation situations as a interrogation person under age of fifteen, person who is old, sick or dying. In thesis, there is mentioned the institute of material witness and with the institute of cooperating accused. The thesis also focus on protection of witness, from point of view the Criminal Procedure Code and special Act. no. 137/2001. In thesis, there is also briefly delineates analysis of legal status of witness in Slovakia, with focusing on protection of witness and on institute of material witness. The thesis tries to comprehensive focusing on the status of witness. The thesis contains seven chapters.

TKADLEČKOVÁ Alena: "Sunday school and its teachers at the beginning of the 21 century" SUMMARY The thesis, entitled "Sunday school and its teachers at the beginning of the 21 century", examines in particular the theoretical basics of Sunday school and its teachers in an interview with the current practise in the Czech Brethren Evangelical Church. The main theme of the first chapter is Sunday school in relation to worships, its content, puspose and form. The second chapter deals with the Sunday school teacher as authentic, reflecting and delegated witness. The third part examines the environment and the time that Sunday school and teachers are surrounded. Its themes are: postmodern world, Czech Brethren Evangelical Church, particular church. The subtext of the whole work is the question of identity Sunday school teacher.
Witness in Criminal Proceedings

Witness in Criminal Proceedings The aim of this thesis is to provide a compact overview of the rights and duties related to a witness, which affect his position in criminal proceedings. The witness is considered as a one of the fundamental institutions of criminal law. The witness's testimony with its irreplaceable role also ranks among the most important evidence provided by criminal proceedings. The witness in principle can be found in all stages of on-going criminal proceedings, whereas the circle of persons, which may be witnesses, is not a priori restricted. The witness's role is in particular very significant in preparatory stage of criminal proceedings as without his testimony there is often impossible to identify the perpetrator of a committed crime. He is also important in such a trial, where the court based on his testimony is able to decide, whether an accused is in truth guilty, i.e. decide on his punishment, or on acquittal. The thesis itself is divided into six chapters, which are further divided. The first chapter deals with the definition of a witness and the conditions of being legally qualified to perform as a witness and finally with the necessity of distinguishing a witness from other persons being involved in criminal proceedings. The Specifics of Interrogation of Minors

This thesis deals with interrogation of minors in course of criminal proceedings. In particular, the aim of the thesis is to basically describe differences between interrogations of minors and interrogation of adults categorised by individual procedural positions. The text focuses on interrogation of youngsters less than 18 years old in the position of witnesses. The thesis also discourses upon interrogation of minor perpetrators of criminal activity under the Juvenile Justice Act (in Czech zákon o soudnictví ve věcech mládeže) and takes into account provisions of the Criminal Victims Act (in Czech zákon o obětech trestných činů) focusing on right of interrogated victims on protection from secondary victimisation. The first chapter introduces point of view of individual branches of science in respect of the described topic of the thesis. The chapter determines fundamental terms used in the thesis, in particular the following terms: minor, interrogation and testimony. The characteristics of the possible procedural positions of minors follows, as the procedural position of the interrogated person strongly influences the choice of interrogation tactics. This bachelor thesis is primarily devoted to the analysis and comparison of the psycho-logical novel by Václav Řezáč and the novel by Stephen King Nezbytné věci. The thesis states briefly information about the authors and their work. As follows, it concerns with the analysis of the novel Svědek and Nezbytné věci. However, important part of this paper is the comparison of the two novels on the basis of the genre classification.
Technical acceptability of witness and participant testimonies at traffic accident

This master’s thesis deals with issues of road traffic accidents from the perspective tes-timonies of witnesses of road traffic accidents, especially in terms of the space and time per-ception and in terms of the content development changes during time. This issues are solved at first theoretically, gained knowledge is then used by several real accidents. For each traffic accident was selected several questions important to solve its course and in the testimonies of witnesses and participants have found the answers to these questions. In the responses were monitored technical acceptability and content development of the testimonies during time, and then were made ratings of the technical acceptability of the each answer and score rating of compliance with the previous testimony. This allowed determining for each witnesses or participant and for every traffic accident level of technical unacceptability responses and the level of testimonies content development changes during time.
Psychological aspects of interrogation of children.

This thesis entitled "Psychological Aspects of Interrogation of Children" deals with the psychological aspects of interrogation of sexually abused children aged six to twelve. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first section consists of five chapters and it focuses on theoretical knowledge. There is described expert knowledge about children´s development, interrogation, the output interrogation, i.e. testimony, and specifics of interrogation of children. The second part processes the results of the actual research. The research objective of the thesis was to identify psychological aspects which affect the interrogation of children, to determine and describe them. In this thesis qualitative research was used to achieve the aim, especially a part of the grounded theory method. In my research I termed eleven categories aspects which influence the interrogation of children. These categories are described in detail in the chapters entitled Result and they are discussed in detail. This thesis can serve to individual institutions involved in criminal proceedings concerning juvenile offenders as well as to general public.
Psychological and Ethic Aspects of a Position of the Under-aged and Minors in a Criminal Procedure

The dissertation evaluates viewpoints on the various positions of young people in criminal proceedings (the position of the offender, crime victim or witness) and deals primarily with psychological aspects of these positions. Expert theoretical arguments and theses are confronted with the experience and practice of youth and community workers. In the case studies, that are part of the work, are outlined possible ways of intervention from the point of view of youth and community workers. The work is a reflection on the given issue. It looks for an answer to the question whether the society{\crq}s interest is actually sometimes at odds with the interests of a child involved in criminal proceedings, or whether it can even cause damage to it.
