Competition analysis of ski schools

Title: Competition analysis of ski schools Objectives: The main objective of the bachelor thesis is to compare the two strongest ski schools in a region in the Czech Republic, which is achieved by analysing the internal environment of the two selected ski schools. The marketing research is carried out by means of in-depth interviews with the managers of each ski school. Based on the marketing research, the ski schools are compared. The result of the work simplifies the decision-making process of users and employees and proposes recommendations to managers taking into account these results. Methods: The qualitative research method is used in this thesis. For qualitative research, the main method is in-depth interviews with ski school managers, which are combined with document analysis. Based on the information obtained, the McKinsey 7S model is constructed, which helps to identify strengths and weaknesses. These factors are evaluated using the IFE matrix. The paper concludes with a comparison of the internal environment of the companies. Results: The result of the work is an internal analysis of two ski schools in a region in the Czech Republic. Application of knowledge of positive psychology in social work

The thesis deals with the interconnection of positive psychology and social work. First, the two specialization are defined and then linked. The next part of the thesis is focused on a deeper understanding of positive psychology in terms of time, success rates and within the framework of different theories of social work. The last part of the thesis is a chapter on the application of strengths in the social work profession, where the research population consisted of six communication partners from different social work settlings.
Company Performance Assessment according to Model Start Plus and Proposals for the Improvement

The diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of the performance of a selected company using one of the evaluation models, namely the Start Plus model. Based on this model, an analysis of the company was performed, the output of which was the identification of the company's strengths and areas for improvement. In selected areas changes have been propesed aiming to reduce costs and streamline processes of the company.
Risk Management inside Construction Company

The bachelor's thesis aids to describe risk management in the construction company focusing primarily on project risks. The theoretical part deals with various types of risks, and explanation of the terms associated with the project. And further deal with analysis of risks and characteristics of the RIPRAN method. The practical part is focused on the risk situations in a particular building company. Subsequently, the building project show the actual procedures and solutions to risk management together with preventive measures.
Engagement of employees in the international company

The aim of the diploma thesis is to create a strategy to support the engagement of members of one of the teams of a multinational company, which faces a high level of voluntary fluctuation. The recommendations are compiled in accordance with the stated theory and on the basis of a comparison of the results of two specific teams, one of which is characterized by a low employee turnover rate. On the basis of the theoretical background and the already existing questionnaire Q12 from Gallup company, a questionnaire survey is compiled. According to the results obtained, the hypothesis is verified: The members of the Spanish team have a higher engagement rate than the members of the French team. The obtained data show that the members of the French team are not satisfied with the team social climate. Then he highest proportion of nonengaged workers is identified in the category of foreign workers and among men. The thesis also deals with the interconnection of knowledge of positive psychology in working life and their connection with the engagement of employees. At the end of the thesis the recommendations for the management of the company are presented, which are the added value of this thesis. The study revealed statistically significant differences between different categories of workers that may be subject to further investigation

Risk Management inside Construction Company

The aim of the thesis is to analyse issues of risk management in a construction company, especially in the context of construction contracts implementation. The first part is devoted to applied terminology and interpretation of relevant terms, followed by a classification of risks from different perspectives, including the risks’ possible further sub classification. Furthermore, significant risk resources and construction participants who might be affected by the risks are presented. The third chapter deals with risk management; individual phases of this complex process are described herein, including their correct sequences, as well as a selection of methods and techniques that are standardly used in risk management. The last, fourth chapter summarises the problems of risk management on a practical example, where a construction company implements a construction contract by applying selected risk management methodologies.

The work is an attempt to propose such changes to be taken to eliminate weaknesses in the company, eliminate threats and streamline the management of the company. To do this, the work uses theoretical knowledge from the individual analysis and uses it to evaluate the current state of the company. The proposed changes are then based on these analysis. The work includes projects in the field of marketing, finance and human resources.
