EGAP a.s. - position and perspective

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to summarize performance and position of EGAP from the establishment to the present day and based on the previous results and analyzed surveys predict its future direction. The work is divided into five chapters. First describes the most common risks when exporting, second is devoted to export credit agencies in general and third monitors completely all activities of EGAP. In the fourth chapter surveys among czech exporters are analyzed and the last one summarizes current position of EGAP and estimates its future development.
Czech Republic - Italy. Trade relations

This thesis is based on study of Czech Republic- Italy trade relations importance and their actual state. It demonstrates the conditions for the development within the European Union, characterizes the Czech and Italian markets and trade relations of these two countries with other economies. One of the chapters is dedicated to the bilateral agreements between them and the state support of international trade in both countries. The work explores developments of commercial exchange of these States with focus on the period 1999-2011 and mentions the major Czech and Italian companies which make their businesses on the both markets. The final section analyses the basic trends in trade of these two countries and looks at prospects for trade relations between them.
Financing of cross-border activities of small and medium- sized enterprises

First chapter explains the concept of SME in terms of providing of the state support, and points out their contribution to economy and society. Second chapter provides a brief overview of the activities of EU towards SME sector and state support of cross-border activities of SME. Third chapter provides an overview of commercial and alternative forms of financing of SME's activities, such as activities of commercial banks towards SMEs, factoring, leasing and private equity). Fourth chapter is an analysis of impact of crisis on financing of SME, concentrated on governmental anticrisis measurements and their real impact on financing of export with state support.
Significance of export credit insurance with state support in global economic crisis

The first chapter summarises basic characteristics of the export credit insurance, particularly focusing on the export credit insurance with state support. The second chapter summarises the issue of export credit insurance as a tool of export-oriented politics. The third one describes international organisations and international regulations affecting export credit insurance with state support. Tha last chapter summarises developement of export credit insurance from the beginning to the present time including contemporary economic crisis.
New forms of institutional provisioning of export policy in the Czech Republic

This thesis provides an overview of the importance of exports for the Czech economy and the main instruments used for support of exports by state and private institutions. It also presents new export activities of a non-state institution - International Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic (ICC Czech Republic), which is the general public not sufficiently aware of. The work contains opinions and positions of entities being directly affected by state export promotion in the Czech Republic - particularly small and medium enterprises, large exporters, and commercial banks - and also their specific requirements for the content of state export strategy. Their opinions are derived from various surveys and analysis and based on the information obtained from ICC Czech Republic. To create high-quality export strategy, it is necessary for the Ministry of Industry and Trade to cooperate with all relevant subjects such as EGAP, Czech Export Bank, Czech Chamber of Commerce, ICC Czech Republic, but especially with the business community. The strategy also needs to include the consolidation of state export promotion services, the allocation of sufficient funds for the Czech Export Bank and EGAP, the involvement of commercial banks in foreign trade finance and enhancement of international competitiveness of Czech exports. Thus can only be increased its contribution to individual subjects of foreign trade and the State itself.
Impact of the Global Economic Crisis on Export of the Czech republic

The submitted master's thesis analyzes the impact of the global economic crisis on the Czech economy and export of the Czech republic. On the basis of statistical data thesis examines the evolution of basic macroeconomic indicators in the period before the crisis and during an economic downturn, which characterizes the current economy situation in the Czech republic. The work depicts the changes in the state support for exports, the government taken measures and shortcomings in our export policy. The main aim of the work -- in addition to analysis and forecasts of economic developments of the Czech republic -- are recommendations for the creation of New export strategy, evaluation the business environment for Czech export companies, including the main measures to increase competitiveness of the Czech economy.
Role of the Czech Export Bank in a small and medium enterprise support

Main theoretical definition of small and medium enterprise (SME) and its significant role in the economy are presented in the introduction of this thesis. Next chapter focuses on forms of state support of SME export, international rules for state export support and application of the state export support in the Czech Republic. The Czech export bank (CEB) is presented in the practice part of this thesis as one of the state export support's pillars. Since 2009, based on The Government National Anti-Crisis Plan's request, CEB services more SME's then in the past, although such function is not the main focus of its activities. Bank created specialized SME department and devoted exceptional resources for SME support in an amount of 2 milliards CZE. Newly created department started offering newly created Programs of SME support (specifically Program of SME support - exporter, Program of SME - subcontractor, export-supporting guarantee), closer cooperation with factoring agencies and The Export Guarantee and Insurance Corporation EGAP. Conclusion part concerns future of SME support in CEB and resources, which SME department uses to obtain relevant information about their current and potential SME customer needs. This part includes outcomes of CEB's researches focused on exporting SMEs as well.
State Export Support Policy Development from 1993 until today in the Czech Republic

Diploma thesis describes foundation and development of state support of international trade of the Czech Republic. First chapter is contributed to importance of international trade and reasons why states should support it. Second charter characterises system of international exchange during socialism and transformation to market economy. Third chapter, describing first half years 1990s, is devoted to institutions as EGAP, CzechInvest, Czech Centres and CzechTourism. Description and evaluation of above mentioned institutions is not limited by the year 1995. It is prolonged to nowadays for complexity of provided information and convenient orientation of reader. Foundation of Czech Export Bank in 1995 and of CzechTrade agency in 1997 are mentioned in fourth charter. The most recent stage of development being after 2000 year is described in charter number five.
German promotion of foreign trade

The topic of my bachelor thesis brings about the issue of promotion of foreign trade in Germany. At the beginning I do describe the national institution which create the framework of the promotion of foreign trade. Later on I mention a few of the economic institutions which are involved as well. A very big part of my thesis is focused on the tools of promotion presented by credits and the ways of insuring the foreign business. At the end I recommend the two websites which are worth visiting by enterpreneurs active in foreign markets.
