The Stock Exchange
Schicková, Pavla ; Kotáb, Petr (advisor) ; Kohajda, Michael (referee)
1 ABSTRACT Stock Exchange The contents of the notion "stock exchange" change in time. Factors inducing these changes are intertwined and influence each other. The introduction of modern telecommunication technologies in 1980s brought about a process of change in the notion of "stock exchange". This factor mainly influenced the territorial aspect of said notion. Modern communication technologies allowed for integration of capital markets within Europe. This integration required unification of legislation in EU Member States. The crucial piece of Czech legislation implementing European norms in the area of stock exchange markets is the Act No. 256/2004 Coll. on Business on Capital Market. The greatest influence on the notion of "stock exchange" has had the transposition of the EU MiFID directive into that act in 2008. The changes introduced by this directive have led to vacating tne notion of "stock exchange" in legal terms with the term itself being replaced by "operator of the regulated market". Over the past decade the supervision and regulation on both European and national levels have undergone substantial changes. The changes and innovation in the investment instruments market have called for changes in institutional setting of supervision and regulation. These changes in supervision and regulation have...
Ability to self-regulate social networking sites usage and its relationship to feelings of loneliness and life satisfaction
Nekola, Adam ; Horáková Hoskovcová, Simona (advisor) ; Blatný, Marek (referee)
This master thesis is in theoretical part focusing on the term of self-regulation according to Albert Bandura's theory (1991) and its domains of self-monitoring, self-judgement and self-reaction. Next we define its stand against terms such as addiction and habit, in case of low ability of one's regulation. Thanks to analysis of mainly foreign resources we oriented the work to explanation of relationship between self-regulation and loneliness and life satisfaction. These resources are chosen for their historical consistency and contemporary application, especially in domains of media and online environment. In empirical segment of thesis we are proposing our own questionnaire measuring our ability to self-regulate Facebook usage (SRQ-FB), inspired by original theory of Brown et al. (1999) and Czech translation of their questionnaire, translated and tested by Jakešová et al. (2015). Next we tested hypotheses based on assumption of relationship existence between score of our questionnaire (SRQ-FB) and score of loneliness (measured by UCLA Loneliness Scale; Russell et al., 1980) and life satisfaction score (SWLS - Satisfaction With Life Scale; Diener et al., 1984). Research sample consisted of two nation-based groups: Slovak (N = 168) and Czech (N = 21), which differed significantly in achieved score...

A self-contained chapter will be dedicated to the characteristics of the pre-school child with a focus on the most important areas of said age - socialization, play, the development of self-regulation and initiative. Kindergartens as important institutions throughout the pre-school age will also be targeted. Practical part The goal of the practical part is to determine whether the viewing angle and overall conception of a child's psychic resilience differ among a child's parents and a child's teachers. Given the fact that psychic resilience is being developed in two separate environments, family and school, disparities in the conception of psychic resilience from a parent and teacher's standpoint have been observed. Bažant, David ; Liška, Petr (referee)
Consumer protection options for one-sided contracting in the financial sector Abstract This thesis analyses the problems between consumers and business professionals in the financial sector. The author has chosen this topic because it seriously impacts everyone who intends to sign a contract for financial services. The Role of Self-Regulation, Quantity of Practice and Self-Efficacy in Self-Assessment and Improved Performance among Lebanese and Czech Piano Students
Agopian, Vartan ; Gregor, Vít (advisor) ; Palkovská, Jana (referee) ; Sanders, Edel (referee)
This work studies the role of self-regulation and self-efficacy during piano practice in improved self-assessment and performance, since in the last couple of decades, research has shown that number of hours of practice is not the only predictor of improved performance. Piano students at the Beirut and Prague conservatories wrote weekly journals assessing their self-regulation during practice for nine months and then performed in an exam, in addition to filling an online questionnaire. Results showed that students self-regulated mostly using the method and social factors dimension. Moreover, although students in Prague performed a harder repertoire, they were not better in self-regulation compared to the students in Beirut, except for the time dimension of self-regulation. A list of self-regulatory behaviors is presented at the end of the work, in addition to the implications for music educators and piano students and the contributions to the field of music education in terms of preparation for performance in the absence of a teacher. Keywords piano pedagogy, practice, self-assessment, self-efficacy, self-regulation
