Physiotherapeutic Techniques for Patients with Achilles Tendon Rupture with Possibility of Using Balance Aids
JIRÁSKOVÁ, Helena
This bachelor thesis deals with physiotherapeutic techniques in Achilles tendon rupture patients with possibility of using balance aids. My personal interest in these problems lead me to select this topic. There is increasing offer of leisure activity connected with increasing injuries of locomotive organs. Rupture of Achilles tendon is one of them and concerns both top sportsmen and those doing sports in leisure time. The preceding degenerative alteration is a frequent cause of the rupture. My thesis consists of a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is a knowledge summary from different disciplines related to this topic. The rupture of Achilles tendon is described in a proper chapter from various aspects etiopathogenesis, mechanism of origin, symptoms, diagnostics and treatment. In the part called therapeutic rehabilitation I described physiotherapeutic methods and concepts I used in therapy. There are two case interpretations of Achilles tendon rupture in the practical part. Investigation was performed using a qualitative form of the initial and final examinations. Based on the initial examination of patients both short-term and longterm rehabilitation plans were prepared with selected physiotherapeutic methods. The goal of my thesis was to evaluate the influence of injury on the locomotive organ and gait patttern. Based on results (comparison of initial a final examinations) the long-term rehabilitation plan was suggested with a participation of balance aids. Physiotherapy shows to be a very contributive by means of the used methods as the tested parameters improved. Soresness in heel and scarf decreased, movement in talar joint to dorsal and plantar flexions improved as well as the muscle strength of m. triceps surae. The values of anthropometry changed. The therapy had a smaller effect on the gait pattern. This thesis can serve to education of students and physiotherapy assistants, but also to patients and public.

Title of thesis: The case study of physiotherapeutical treatment of patient with diagnosis sutured rupture of quadriceps femoris muscle - vastus medialis et lateralis. Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to process the case study of patient with diagnosis sutured rupture of quadriceps femoris muscle - vastus medialis et lateralis. The thesis is divided into two general parts - the general part and the special part. The general part contains theoretical findings about the disease, options of treatment and therapy. Special part includes case study of the patient, especially the physical examination, therapy, development of treatment and therapy, final evaluation and the effect of therapy. The case report was created on the basis of work with ambulatory patient during continuous bachelor praxis in Center for treatment of musculoskeletal system in Prague, Vysočany from 2. 1. 2017 to 27. 1. 2017. Keywords: rupture, quadriceps femoris, suture, physiotherapy, rehabilitation
Case study of physiotherapy care of patient after suture of the rotator cuff

Title: Case study of physiotherapy care of patient after suture of the rotator cuff Aim: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to introduce the issues relating to injury of the rotator cuff and following treatment. Another objective is detailed case study of patient after suture of the rotator cuff. Methodology of thesis: The thesis is divided into two parts. The first (general) part focuses on anatomy, kinesiology and basics principles of biomechanics of the shoulder joint. Then I will deal with the most commnon indications for chirurgic treatment, eventually conservative treatment and following physiotherapeutic care. In the second (special) part includes detailed case study of patient after suture of the rotator cuff. This part includes patients medical history, input musculoskeletal assesment, description of therapeutic units and output musculoskeletal assesment including evaluation of therapy and achievments. Special part was developped in CLPA in Vysočany. The outpatient attended therapies 2-3 times a week from 9.1. to 29.1.2016 in the morning. During therapies we managed to reduce swelling and pain of the operated joint, expand range of motion of the shoulder joint (flexion from 50ř to 150ř, abduction from 60ř to 90ř) and improve stereotype of abduction. Key words: the rotator cuff, the...

Name: Tereza Novotná Supervisor's name: Mgr. Ivana Jelínková Title: Case report of physiotherapy care of patient with ruptured Achilles tendon Summary: The aim of this bachelor thesis is introducing the reader with the topic post-operatice physiotherapeutic care on a patient after ruptured Achilles tendon. The thesis includes anatomical, biomechanical and kinesiological knowledge as a foundation for treatment. I described possible operative and conservative procedures. In the special part there is formulated a casae report of one patient in detail. Ten therapeutic units are described including kinesiological analysis and final evaluation. Effectivity of used methods is valorized at the end. Key words: case report, Achilles tendon, physiotherapy, rupture
Case Study of Physiotherapy of Patient After Rupture of the Achilles Tendon
Koutek, Michal ; Maršáková, Kateřina (advisor) ; Máchová, Jitka (referee)
Title: Case Study of Physiotherapy of patient after rupture of the Achilles tendon. Objectives: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is description of issues after rupture of the Achilles tendon. This is summary of theoretical knowledges, operational treatment, physiotherapy care and treatment results of the patient with the diagnosis of rupture of the Achilles tendon. Methods: The theoretical part is the summary of anatomy, biomechanics, kinesiology of the the ankle joint. Included etiology, clinical symptoms and diagnosis of the rupture of Achilles tendon as well. In the special part is specifically described the physiotherapeutic care of the pacient. The treatment of the pacient was recorded at Hospital Na Bulovce in Prague in rehabilitation department in period from 13th January to 7th February 2014 under the conduction of leadership of the department. The main aim of the special part is the input and output kinesiological analysis, therapeutic units, the effectiveness of therapy and the evaluation of physiotherapy techniques. Results: There was a big progress in range of motion, especially in the ankle joint. In most cases have been removed joint blockades and released soft tissues. The swelling and hyperaemia was reduced. The direction of the motion patterns was positively adjusted. The posture...
