Operating parameters of LED light sources
Janík, Daniel ; Mikulka, Jan (referee) ; Havlíková, Marie (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to introduce the basic photometric quantities and operating parameters of LED light sources, according to which the light sources are evaluated and compared. The thesis examines effects of high temperature and elevated stress on LED retrofits and a design of measurement methods to measure these influences. According to the proposed methods, nine samples of light sources were measured and compared to each other on a basis of the measurements. Comparison was made from the point of view of the energy as well as the quality of the produced light. The results were also compared to the parameters specified by the producers.
Design of secure customer data center infrastructure
Linduška, Jan ; Svoboda Vlastimil, Ing., MBA (referee) ; Sedlák, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the design of secure customer data center infrastructure. The thesis is divided into four main parts and starts by defining the problems and identifying the objectives. The second chapter deals with the theoretical part discussing the basic technologies and principles on which the infrastructure design is based. The third chapter analyses the current state of the facility and gives the requirements. In the fourth and final chapter, a new design is presented, based on the previous chapters, which is then compared in an economic evaluation. The thesis concludes with a summary of the resulting design, which will serve as documentation, template and input for the contractor selection process.
Extension and Retrofit of the Healthcare Centre
Batke, Ľuboš ; Pilný, Ondřej (referee) ; Kalousek, Lubor (advisor)
The diploma thesis is a project focused on the conversion of an administrative building into a healthcare centre. In the past, the building served as an administrative building and the headquarters of the district department of the Slovak Police Force. The existing building will serve the residents of the town as a healthcare facility after construction modifications including an extension and modernization. Extension is necessary due to the insufficient capacity of the existing building. Extension will have a masonry vertical support system made of aerated concrete blocks. The floor structures will be made of prestressed hollow core slabs. The project significantly changes the original state regarding the functionality of the building, in which 17 outpatient clinics and a radiology workplace will be created. The layout together with the materials is described in detail in the project documentation and in the text part of the work. The diploma thesis also presents the method of necessary adjustments to the immediate surroundings. The original project documentation of the object was not available, all information was obtained by measuring and inspecting the building in February 2021.
The use of visualization method for heat exchanger network retrofit
Witos, Anton ; Rebej, Miroslav (referee) ; Jegla, Zdeněk (advisor)
The visualisation methods of heat exchanger network are key part for their retrofit. These methods allow better orientation and help in location of network area which is suitable for retrofit purposes. Such method is Shifted Retrofit Thermodynamic Grid Diagram (SRTGD). The aim of this diploma thesis is based on the recommended literature and in combination with the calculation procedure to apply this method to industrial examples and to examine the possibilities of its use in practice. Part of the solution of industrial examples is also a comparison of this visualization method with one of the competing methods of displaying heat exchanger networks, such as the Grid Diagram method. The aim of comparing the SRTGD method with one of the competing methods is to examine the advantages and disadvantages of this method.
Mobile App for Shared Shopping
Šťastná, Barbora ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to create a mobile application for the Android operating system, which makes organizing a community shopping easier for its users and their friends. Each user can build a community of their own that offers collective purchasing of products, or can offer their products for purchase. They categorize these offers to their channels and their friends choose only those channels that they find interesting. If their friends accept their offer, they see the necessary information about their individual purchases. Thus, this application enables users to offer shared purchasing to their friends e.g. at a grower from whom these people could not buy individually. They can procure quality produce together at a competitive price and they can also reduce production of plastic packaging by purchasing as a group.
Mobile App for Management and Reservation of Sports Lessons
Hynek, Tomáš ; Tomešek, Jan (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to create a mobile application for Android that will offer management for reservations of training lessons. There are two user roles in the application. The first one is coach who can offer his lessons to other users. Users then can book this lesson right from the application. Coach can also manage all of his lessons and see his reservations in calendar. The second type of user is an athlete who can search for training lessons by name or place distance and then he can book them. The name of the application is Fittyy and it complies with Material Design rules. It uses advanced technologies like Android Jetpack to store local data, implement MVVM model or process server requests in the background. Communication between coach and athlete was implemented using CMS system made by Dactyl Group s.r.o.
Withdrawable truck for MV switchgear SR12 with contactor VSC7
Sojka, Tomáš ; Honzák, Aleš (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the development of retrofit – withdrawable truck for medium voltage switchgear. It includes a brief overview of medium voltage switchgear, description of the process retrofitting and complete design of withdrawable truck with the VSC7 contactor for ABB MV switchgear SR12, including technical and economic optimization of the solution. The output of thesis is technical documentation of withdrawable truck in Solidworks.
Application of process system engeneering
Hrncsjarová, Hana ; Turek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Jegla, Zdeněk (advisor)
The master’s thesis is focused on familiarization with modern techniques and procedures of process system engineering for identification of energy savings. In this case, process system engineering is applied to the issue of heat exchanger networks and in order to save energy, their retrofit is solved here. The current network pinch method, which uses mathematical programming options, is described for the retrofit of the heat exchanger networks. The method is presented in comparison to older development methods, mainly with the PDM. In addition, the calculation procedure is also developed by this method and in the Maple software environment it is applied to the case of heat exchanger network retrofit in the process of hydrogenation refining of oil. Part of the thesis is an evaluation of the results obtained, including a discussion of the properties of the method used.
The Influence of Photovoltaic Power Plants Disconnection During Frequency Deviations
Jasenský, Filip ; Máslo, Karel (referee) ; Toman, Petr (advisor)
The master thesis The Influence of Photovoltaic Power Plants Disconnection During Frequency Deviations introduce reader to the theory of frequency regulation in the electric power system. The theoretical part introduces regulation reserve that are used by transmission system operator to balance power imbalances. In the next part is made introduction to the system state classification and knowledge of European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity about unsolicited disconnection of photovoltaic plants. The theoretical part of the recommendations and simulations is followed by a part of the work in which the analysis of the implementation of the frequency boundary in which the photovoltaic power plants are operated in selected states of synchronously interconnected Europe. The master thesis continues to explain the origin of power imbalances by introducing a theory of electricity trading. Deterministic frequency deviations are one of the causes of the occurrence of frequent imbalances in the system and are discussed in the following chapter together with a proposal for a possible solution. In the last part of the master thesis are presented simulations that were made to determine the impact of the speed control regulator in the Czech Republic on unsolicited disconnection of photovoltaic power plants.
