This bachelor thesis is focused on the design of high power switching power supplies for applications such as plasma excitation. In the teoretical part of this thesis some common topologies of switching power supplies and principles of their operation are described. Furthermore, theoretical part of this thesis deals with topics related to the designing of switching power supply such as principle of operation of power transistors, transformers and pulse width modulation. Practical part of the bachelor thesis is focused on design of power part of switching power supply with full-bridge topology, simulating of operation of its parts using Multisim programme, realization of this power supply and verification of its functionality by measurement.
DC switching power supply
Látal, Jiří ; Folprecht, Martin (referee) ; Lažek, Tomáš (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis discusses the design of an adjustable DC/DC converter with an output voltage of 30 V and a current of 10 A. The first part described three basic DC/DC converter topologies and the scheme of power and control structure of the converter. As a suitable topology of power supply was selected a two-switched forward converter. The integrated circuit SG3525ADWR2G was chosen as the PWM modulator for the converter. The second part of the thesis described the design and testing of the switch mode power supply.
Control of LED light sources
Břoušek, Adam ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Boušek, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with design of devices for control and regulation of LEDs. The document summarizes basic information about light, its origin and variety. This work discusses the effects of light on humans. There are also discussed the possibilities of lighting control with LEDs. The work includes a diagram that describes a device for controlling and controlling light for daylight and night light.
Triangular and square wave generators based on multi-terminal active elements and their application in PWM
Šterc, Filip ; Domanský, Ondřej (referee) ; Šotner, Roman (advisor)
This paper deals with design of new solutions of the triangular and square wave generator and their application for pulse width modulation (PWM). The proposed circuitries employs modern active multi-terminal elements e.g. Current Follower Differential Input Transconductance Amplifier (CFDITA) or Universal Voltage Conveyor (UVC). These designs suppose an electronic adjustment of parameters (repeating frequency, duty cycle).
Portable music player
Rozsíval, Adam ; Šotner, Roman (referee) ; Dřínovský, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis deals with the project of a portable music player with an amplifier in the class D. The device is powered up by connected power supply unit, eventually by built-in accumulator. Audio signal is played by bluetooth module, sound card or headphone output. Switching inputs and power supply of the accumulator is managed by a micro-controller. A correction equalizer for sound control is also embedded in the booster. All peripheries are put into a wooden baffle board. The sound is reproduced by a pair of loudspeakers.
Design of switching stereo audio power amplifier
Christen, Jiří ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
This work deals with complete design of switch - mode audio power amplifier. The first part of the work describes basic principles of power amplifier operating in switch mode and differences between classes. Specific parts of the amplifier are analysed according to function and construction. The second part includes particular design and construction of the class D switching amplifier with a minimal output power 2x80W. The power stage is realized by an integrated circuit TAS5630 from Texas Instruments. Basic states of the power stage are signalized by LED diodes. The design includes correction preamplifier for adjusting volume and frequency response. The appliance is supplied from switch - mode power supply. Basic parametres were measured for individual parts.
Algorithms for the Control of the Induction Motor
Class D audio power amplifier with microprocessor controlling
Nedbal, Jan ; Papica, Petr (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design and practical realization of class D audio power amplifier with microprocessor controlling. The first part describes the integrated circuits used in a preamplifier and his complete design with a description of the control program for ATmega128 microcontroller. The following part describes an integrated power amplifier TAS5613 and his circuits. The next section describes a switching power supply design using integrated circuit TOP261EN. The last section describes measurements of parameters of individual parts of the amplifier.
