Piston of 4-stroke SI-Engine with 75 kW Output Power
Kalugin, Ivan ; Svída, David (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with calculating suggestion and structural solution of a piston for a 4-stroke petrol engine with 75kW output power. The structural solution includes determination basic dimensions of engine and crank mechanism. Final part is devoted to fort control of critical piston sections on the base of kinematics crank mechanism and indicator diagram.
Piston for VW TDI 81kW Engine
Skoupý, Petr ; Dundálek, Radim (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The bachelor‘s work deal with proposal piston for VW TDI 81 kW engine. Aim this work is determine principal dimensions of the engine, the crank mechanism and piston. At the beginning are describes a parts of the engine and then there the piston assembly. Further there is a work deal constructional design and material of piston. In a last way too strenght calculation of critical piston cross-sections.
Piston Rings of Modern Diesel Engines
Homola, Petr ; Knotek, Jiří (referee) ; Raffai, Peter (advisor)
This bachelor thesis concentrates on piston rings and is divided into several points. First point deals with the functions of piston rings and with the demands for them, in the second point there is a division according to the type of the ring and constructing solution. Another chapter deals with materials that are used the most when fabricating piston rings and the last chapter deals with the surfacing that is used the most.
Piston and Connecting Rod Assemblies of a CI Engine
Řehůřek, Lukáš ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
This thesis deals with design of the piston and connecting rod assemblies of selected CI engine. Before a design is created short background research of pistons and connecting rods of CI engine. Next is an analysis of the crank mechanism, which is used in the strength control of the piston and connecting rod. The work also contains drawings.
Piston Ring Tribology in Internal Combustion Engines
Orbán, Tomáš ; Maršálek, Ondřej (referee) ; Raffai, Peter (advisor)
The theme of the thesis is tribology of piston rings for internal combustion engines. The work is divided into seven chapters. The first chapter deals with the piston rings, piston rings requirements, describes the main functions of piston rings, types of piston rings, compression rings and oil control rings. Finally, this chapter provides information about the kinematics of piston rings. The second chapter presents the mechanism of friction and lubrication of piston rings, is dedicated to tribology, friction, friction observation history, mechanism of friction and friction suitability. In addition, the work contains information about lubrication, specifically about a lubrication way of internal combustion engines and lubrication regimes. The third chapter deals with hydrodynamic lubrication. The theme of the fourth chapter is boundary lubrication. The fifth chapter provides information about mixed lubrication. Friction in the oil film is the theme of the sixth chapter. Last seventh chapter deals with dry contact friction due to surface roughness contact.
Reducing friction losses of piston rings
Csintalan, Radoslav ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the possibilities of reducing the friction losses of the first sealing piston rings of the VW Group 1.5 TSI, 110kW engine. The first part of the thesis theoretically deals with the issue of piston rings in terms of their classification. Reduction of friction losses is ensured by PVD and PECVD coating technology. The second part of the thesis describes the production of coated piston rings. Measurements are performed on the created coatings, which are compared and evaluated in the conclusion at the end of the thesis.

Písty vznětových motorů osobních vozidel
Jašek, Petr ; Svída, David (referee) ; Beran, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with a piston group of diesel engines. It mainly focuses on diesel engines. Then a design calculation of the piston for the diesel engine is carried out and the subsequent evaluation of the calculations.
Modeling the Impact of Piston Rings on Oil Consumption of Internal Combustion Engines
Raffai, Peter ; Pavlov,, Michal (referee) ; Dr. Dan E. Richardson (referee) ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
Piston for Bioethanol Engine
Žilinský, Ondřej ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design Husqvarna FE 501 turbocharged engine piston for Formula Student competition using bioethanol as its fuel. Proposed concept originates in background research on design solutions of modern combustion engine pistons. FEM simulations are used for piston design.
