The meaning, form and reform of the family by T. G. Masaryk

This study investigates and describes ideas of the proper form of family life and activism in this matter - efforts to persuade general public to adopt these ideas. This corresponds to the choice of the main goals of the study: 1. Show what the content of these ideas was. 2. Show the range of topics covered by the authors of these ideas. 3. Show the manners of this activism. What media these activists usually used, how they fought or cooperated with rival activists and who was "target" of their enlightenment efforts. 4. Answer the question "Why did these efforts arise at all?" Why there was a feeling that family is in crisis and in need of reform. The feeling that family is in crisis probably has its origin in the days of the first attempts to define the family. However, this study does not focus on the topic from its presumed origin, but from the last quarter of the nineteenth century to the second half of the 1930s. This period represents a time of boom of these enlightenment efforts in the Czech lands and it's also time of T. G. Masaryk. His ideas of the proper form of family life and activism in this matter form the backbone of this work. Primary school pupils awareness of Deaf community

The diploma thesis is elaborated on the topic of awareness of primary school pupils about the Deaf community, in general about people with hearing impairment. The aim of the work is obtain information about how students are informed about the issue of the Deaf community and to increase this knowledge using research methods. The theoretical part is focused on a general introduction to the issue of people with hearing impairment, the division of hearing impairments, terms used in this field, as well as on the communication of people with hearing impairment and compensatory aids. One of the chapters then brings important knowledge about the Deaf community, their culture and also about several organizations associating people with hearing impairments in general and their surroundings. The next chapter deals with the possibilities of obtaining information about the culture of the Deaf, while the work lists the Internet, magazines, lectures and sign language courses as sources of information. Its subchapter then specifically focuses on the possibilities of obtaining this information by primary school pupils and specific attempts to inform this age group that have taken place in the past. Functioning and publishing activity of the public edifying office (including regional analysis)

This diploma thesis is focused on the public edifying office and its impact during the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia period. With using archive sources, there has been introduced comprehensive information about structure, functioning and educative activities of this institution. Explained on the situation of the first district, there has been presented the real influence on Czech population and protectorate culture. Publishing activities are closely analysed with the sample of several journals with using the qualitative research method of grouded theory. Result of this qualitative research is a summary of main propagandistic ideas in these texts.
Level of knowledge of first grade pupils in selected elementary schools about healthy eating habits

The diploma thesis deals with the attitude of students to a healthy diet with the possibility of their own free choice. It represents possible justified risks arising from insufficiently timely information. Most mental and health threats occur in old school age. For this reason, my part is focused on the younger school age, where it is necessary to apply primary prevention against these threats. The aim of my diploma thesis is to provide information about the level of students' knowledge of healthy eating, taking into account the biological, psychological and social aspects by which they are affected. I carried out the research at the 1st stage of a Prague primary school. Quantitative questionnaire surveys, consisting of closed and open questions, were used as research methods. The results provide a comprehensive picture of students' attitudes and levels of awareness of healthy eating with regard to their own eating habits before the end of primary school and before transfer to secondary school or leaving for multi-year grammar schools. Environmentální osvěta na příkladu projektu "Happiness in the nature" Erasmus +

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of grants supporting the youth. It is a very current topic considering the high rate of unemployment among the youngsters. At the same time it provides one of the options how to obtain such a grant. Presented model project is focused on active citizenship and environmental awareness of youngsters, and it was submitted in frame of the Erasmus+ Programme as a youth exchange. The financial support was successfully obtained and the project was implemented. This youth exchange also included local event, which was successful regarding the fact, that it was visited by more than 100 people. The evaluation of the project by the participants themselves was very positive. Further benefit of the thesis is a survey of available grants for the youth, while it also provides comprehensive guide for implementation of the project activity.
Development of adult education at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries

The aim of the thesis is to analyze from the cultural and historical point of view the period from 1848 to 1900, including 1918. Further, to identify and characterize the key determinants that influenced the origin and development of adult education and education in the Central European space (national emancipation movement, formation of physical education, interest-cultural and professional associations and organizations, technological and economic progress, railway development, health organizations). These social drivers of progress and development have led to the emergence, for example, of education, folk and university extensions, and the further institutionalization of adult education.
