The aim of the diploma thesis Media Representation of Adultery and Its Participants From the 1970s is to analyze and describe the image of partner infidelity in selected Czech and Czechoslovak television series through the time and sociocultural context. The analyzed material and topic requires first an outline of the basic media theories, with focus on the theory of media construction of reality. Then follows the theoretical concept of partnership and adultery, at first seen through the optics of social context and then through the partnership itself, which helps us to understand the imaging analysis, models and stereotypes in the stories. The third theoretical chapter brings a brief description of the history of the Czechoslovak and Czech series, with an emphasis on the period since the 1970s accompanied by the theory of construction of reality in television series. We analyze three series - Nemocnice na kraji města, Život na zámku and Ordinace v růžové zahradě; our analysis is based on qualitative methods, specifically the naratological and discourse analysis, which helps us in the end to answer the defined research questions, to record the occurrence of certain models or stereotypes in the image of unfaithful characters, plots and other interesting phenomena within the social context of the series.

Salmonová, Blanka ; Drška, Václav (advisor) ; Picková, Dana (referee)
The thesis is a contribution to the social history of the Middle Ages. The actual activity of a medieval woman and her opportunity to participate in public, ascribed social roles and a development of a masculine view is discussed in following chapters. Attitudes of young people towards infidelity in partnerships
MIKŠOVÁ, Libuše
My diploma thesis entitled: Attitudes of young people to infidelity in partnerships. Infidelity in marriage/partnership is one of the problems in the current family and partnership coexistence. Infidelity induces other socially unwanted phenomena such as a high divorce rate, hostility inside the home, etc. Nowadays, infidelity is no more condemned by society and as a result has become a common feature in our everyday lives. The research part of my diploma thesis is supported by quantitative research, a questioning method and an opinion poll. The research was conducted on a target population consisting of 200 respondents ? 100 unmarried men and 100 unmarried woman aged between 16 and 26. The respondents were students attending a polytechnic institute, junior high school, grammar school and a university in Jindřichův Hradec. Each institution was represented by 50 respondents. The objective of this thesis is to discover the general attitude of high school and university students, both men and women, to the phenomenon of infidelity. Two hypotheses were set in connection with the pursued objectives of this thesis: H1 hypothesis ? University students are highly tolerant in respect of infidelity, as are high school students. H2 hypothesis ? Women, contrary to men, state their willingness to forgive their partner their infidelity. The results of the conducted research have shown that no relation between the education level and the willingness to forgive disloyalty to a partner can be proven. This means that the H1 theory could not be reasserted. Futhermore, no relation between the sex and the willingness to forgive a partner?s infidelity could be proven. This means that the H2 hypothesis could not be confirmed either. Based on the results of the conducted research it can be concluded, for example, that the majority of the young people who took part in my research realize that infidelity is wrong. More than half of the respondents admitted that infidelity can simply occur; one fifth of the respondents considered infidelity morally unacceptable. Only less than a third of the respondents stated their willingness to forgive their parner their disloyalty. Most of the young people who answered the questions considered infidelity to be the greatest offence that can be committed in a relationship. Young people were predominantly of the opinion that their partner should confess their infidelity because partners should be honest with each other. Almost half of the respondents would be willing to tolerate their partner?s infidelity provided that it was a one-off case that would never repeat itself. The results of my diploma thesis are to contribute to a better understanding of the attitudes of young people to infidelity.
Infidelity as a divorce rate factor
SOUČKOVÁ, Beáta
The thesis is focused on the phenomenon of infidelity and its impact mainly on marriages. The main aim is to support a predication that infidelity doesn{\crq}t necessarily have to be the essence of a partners` problem which affects a relationship of a married couple and fills divorce statistics but that it is a symptom of a dysfunctional relationship in the first place. The thesis is also focusing on identification of impacts which a psychotherapy had on a marriage recovery in presented casuistic cases and what the nature of partners life together can be after the partners have taken part in a psychotherapy. The theoretical part of the work is dealing with a reception of infidelity by the general public, a distinction of motivations and causes of infidelity and its levels in term of jeopardy of relationships. In the thesis there is also a chapter focused on a divorce rate factor, which is closely connected with the phenomenon of infidelity, and a chapter describing possible solutions which can be used in case of infidelity jeopardy of a relationship. The practical part consists mainly of casuistic cases in which infidelity is described from its beginning to its outcomes to which it leads by means of psychotherapy.

The Knowing of Adolescents about HIV/AIDS
SOMPEKOVÁ, Zuzana
Summary My bachelor work ``The Knowing of Adolescents about HIV/AIDS{\crqq} wants to find out how our adolescents are informed about HIV/AIDS and protection against sexual diseases, how they behave sexually, if they observe rules of safe sex and what they know about handling with potentially contaminated hypos. The theoretical part considers the role of family in sexual education and the role of parents in relation to sexual education. The next question is when and how to start with such education which is closely connected with pubescence and relationship between adolescents and their parents. Then I follow up with ``sexual education at schools{\crqq}, I define sexual education as a school subject, its purposes and reasons of obligatory sexual education. A necessary attention was paid to safe sex, risky behaviour and areas of such behaviour of adolescents and influence factors of hazardous behaviour, which can be regarded from individual, family or social aspects. This work also tackles all sexual diseases and their prevention. There are three ways of prevention {--} primary, secondary and tertiary. I write about rules of successful prevention. The theoretical part is closed with risky and protective factors, such as heredity, personality of a child, family, school, contemporaries and environment in general. I used a questionnaire to treat my practical part. It was focused on the facts if adolescents are informed enough about HIV and AIDS, if they prevent during sexual intercourse and if they know how to handle a used hypo. The results are shown in graphs and tables. The survey showed that adolescents know quite a lot about HIV and AIDS but the information is not precise and sufficient. It is necessary to make more intensive and advanced-level preventive courses, expand sexual education, which should be realised already since lower school classes. A professional control of information on the Internet and in youth magazines should be assured together with an observation of using these sources of information as complementary. However, young people should be sure they will find neither invalid information nor disinformation there.
Secondary prevention of a transfer of HIV/AIDS among people above the age of 40
ROŽNÍČKOVÁ, Iveta
The bachelor thesis addresses the issue of secondary prevention of sexually transmitted diseases in individuals over forty years of age. Currently, the prevailing tendency in sexually transmitted disease prevention is the preference of primary prevention at primary and secondary schools although statistic research has shown undeniable increase in, for example, the number of HIV positive individuals in the age spectrum above 40 years of age. The teoretic part of the thesis concentrates on matters of relationships, marriage, marriage phases, marriage crises and infidelity followed by an account of the HIV virus history and origin, characteristics of AIDS which develops following the infection by HIV, its mode of transmission and prevention against infection. The objective the thesis has set was to establish the awarness about HIV/AIDS prevention of individuals above 40 years of age and to determine whether or not respondents use barrier methods of contraception when changing their sexual partners. The thesis also aimed at discovering the interest respondents show in the health of their new sexual partner. The research sample involved respondents over 40 years of age ? single, married, divorced, widiwed, cohabitees, registered partners and respondents who have had a new sexual relationship in the past two years. I used quantitative research method, specifically questionnaires, to collect data. Questionnaires have been distributed in Beroun, České Budějovice, Cheb, Jihlava, Nový Jičín, Prague and Příbram. The total number of distributed 100 questionnares (100%) yielded 62% return rate. Hypothesis 1: Individuals over 40 years of age dispose of disorted and inaccurate informatik about HIV/AIDS. Hypothesis 2: More than a half of respondents do not use any barrier cantraception when starting a new sexual relationship. Hypothesis 3: More than a half of respondents do not regest a negative HIV/AIDS test. The research validated all free hypotheses above. Results of the thesis can be Publisher in professional journals to increase public awarnes about HIV/AIDS.
