Migration mobility of seniors

This thesis is devoted to migration mobility of seniors in the Czech Republic in the years 2001 - 2003 and 2010 - 2012. The theoretical part is discussing general issues of demographic aging, the issue of seniors in the Czech Republic from the perspective of the pension system and pension reform. There is also characterized the care for the elderly and subsequently stated distribution of seniors by district and by size of groups of municipalities in the Czech Republic. The last part of the basic issues is dedicated to the migration, followed by the evaluation of the development of migration in the Czech Republic and partly international migration of seniors. The main part is focused on the issue of migration behavior. The analysis of a large set of data migration is performed at the regional, district level and also between size groups of municipalities. The aim was to evaluate regions, or municipalities size groups in terms of their attractiveness for seniors. For people over 60 years were most attractive small and middle cities. It was also shown that migrants migrate for shorter distances, since migration between municipalities within the county produces around 50% of all all moving. Brazilian emigration in Portugal after its adherence to the European Community

Bachelor thesis Brazilian emigration in Portugal after its adherence to the European Community deals with the migration flow coming from Brazil to Portugal after 1986. It describes its evolution in time, concentrating on the comparison of its specific waves. The work gives an overview of the factors that cause that the Brazilians often choose Portugal as their target country, as well as treaties that give this relationship an international framework. The thesis analyses the causes, development and consequences of this migration flow. The second part of the work is dedicated to the comparison of the first wave of immigration that started in the late 1980s, and the second one, that took place between 1998 and 2003. The work aims to prove that both waves differ in motives of emigration, as well as in qualification and education level of the emigrants and their incorporation on the Portuguese labour market.

Migration of the population of South Bohemia in 2010

This bachelor´s thesis is dealing with population migration moves on internal, external and foreign level of migration in the South Bohemian Region in year 2010. The main part of work evaluates the migration balance and in special chapter analyzes regional administrative centre of Southern Bohemia. The thesis also examines migrational bindings on the case of inhabitants migration within the region. External migrational flows of inhabitants are evaluated separately, both within Czech Republic and foreign countries. The work contains structural analysis of migrants according to sex and age. Region is characterized from the social-geographic and demographic viewpoint.

The Migration of Highly Skilled Asian Workers

This thesis is focused on migration of highly skilled workforce. The aim of this work to show current migration flows of highly skilled workers and particularly flows of highly skilled Asian migrants. First chapter explains migration terms and examines highly skilled migration causes through migration theories. Second chapter studies international migration flows and their long-term development. Last chapter is focused on migration flows of highly skilled Asians to OECD countries and within Asia. For this purpose migration scheme was created on the basis of statistical data. The last chapter also examines brain circulation and economic impacts of high-skilled workers on asian economies.

The presented thesis deals with the analysis of the development of volume, intensity, dynamics and structure of internal migration of the population in the administrative district of the municipality with extended kompetence (ORP) České Budějovice. The evaluation takes place in the context of development of South Bohemia, the Czech Republic, with the availability of similar data for the municipalities during the years of 1992 to 2009. The previous and current development of the area has been outlined in the work. The work thus provides the essential balance evaluation, directional and structural indicators of the migration.

First it briefly analyses the historical development of migration in the whole area of the Czech Republic, in the South Bohemia region and Písek district and then a profound analysis follows which deals with balanced and structural migration characteristics in this monitored district of a village with extensive authority Milevsko from 1992 to 2009. Besides the text itself the thesis includes a cartographic, graphic and chart suplement.

Labour migration in the world economy: theory and real movement

This thesis explains the issues of labour migration. The aim is to monitor the development of the migration from 1990 to the present and determine the major migration flows at present and changes in these flows and their causes. In the first part of the thesis, the migration and its causes and impacts are analysed from the theoretical point of view. The second part uses the statistical data on whose basis the map of current migration flows is created. The last section discusses possible causes and the use of the on-going changes in international migration. All the pieces of knowledge are reviewed at the end of the work.

Immigration policy of the European Union focus on Italy

The aim of this bachelor thesis is an analysis of the immigration policy practiced in Italy from the 1990s to the present. In the theoretical part, I characterize the development of approaches to migration, which is important for understanding current trends in the immigration policies of particular countries and also for the future development of migration flows across Europe. In the practical part, I will focus first on the impacts of migration on the labour market, the employment of immigrants and associated problems, such as legal and linguistic barriers. I will analyse the national structure of employment of foreigners in Italy, the reasons why they decided to live there, and what influence the migrants have on the economic, social and demographic development of the country. Using statistical and demographic calculation methods, I analyse the age and national composition of foreigners in Italy, i.e. their average age, lifespan, age index and other aspects. At the end of the work I will assess the historical and current attitude of the EU and/or Italy towards Italy's immigration policy.
