Teplice Botanical Garden as a Place of Secondary School's Lessons

This diploma thesis is dealing with the theme of use of the Botanic Garden in Teplice to teach Science - especially Botany at lower-secondary school. The thesis is divided into three parts. In the first part I'm dealing with mapping of botanic gardens in the Czech republic - mainly focusing on the Botanic Garden in Teplice. In the second part I'm searching for theoretic information to create my own worksheets, and explanation of the teaching method - excursion according to the available specialized didactic literature. In the third part I'm dealing with the analysis of questionnaire and according to the availably gained information with the creation of my own worksheets. After the questionnaire there were nine worksheets with the concrete teaching methodology of botany and methodological worksheets. Afterwards the worksheet called ¨Excursion itself¨ was verified. Altogether nine worksheets with the methodological outcomes were created. The pupils were filling in the worksheets during the excursion and then the pupils' questionnaire was made to gain the feedback. Media education - incorporation into language education and teaching materials for teachers of English

Messages delivered by the media are often used as a source of authentic texts in language teaching, yet there is not a sufficient amount of works dealing with the connection between media education and language teaching. The theoretical part of this thesis, therefore, tries to describe this relationship from the perspective of media studies, linguistics and language teaching methodology. The aim of this work is to create teaching materials incorporating media education into teaching English as a foreign language. The materials consist of worksheets for students and methodological support for teachers. Support for teaching technical subjects at high schools using an open robotic platform

This diploma thesis deals with the use of robotic kits in teaching technical subject at high schools in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part describes the concepts of robotics and pedagogy. It deals with the history, types of robots, describes its components and provides an overview of the available robotic kits. It also examines the concepts and approaches in teaching, goals and activation methods. The results of research among students, alumni and teachers of high schools are summarized in the practical part. The outcome of this thesis is methodical instructions for teaching technical subjects, such as microprocessor technology and control systems, etc. using a robotic kit based on the Raspberry Pi. Elaborated tasks are: Hardware Hello World! LED, buzzer, switcher with LED, interrupt, motion detection, tracking a black line, keypad 4×4, fan speed control, steering the direction of rotation of DC motors, servo motor control, distance measurement, temperature measurement, display messages on the LCD screen, building a robotic rover and image acquisition from a webcam.
Analysis procedures and effects of sports massage on the human body

At the present hurried time are increasingly interested in increasing the total relaxation and body regeneration in a variety of relaxation and wellness centers through massage. The aim of this thesis on the basis of analysis was a theoretical overview of massage movements, the proper procedure for sorting. There have been capturing the effects that the massage has on the human organism. These effects are complementary and intertwined. They also analyzed different types of massage with a primary focus on sports massage and its applications in the sporting situation. Finally, was to create lists of methodological procedures for whole body massage, which can then be used as a theoretical tool for the general public.
"The use of elements of alternative education system of Maria Montessori for street children in Zambia"

Dissertation thesis - "The use of elements of alternative education system of Maria Montessori for street children in Zambia" - is dedicated to the education of vulnerable children and "street children" in Zambia. In the introduction to the theoretical part of the thesis, the author describes Zambia itself and thereafter in following chapters, she outlines the main issues on which a detailed analysis of poverty, HIV / AIDS and its impact especially on children is presented. She gives more detailed information concerning the questions of the Zambian education; she introduces its main characters and to summarise this chapter, she deals with the particular division of the Zambian education. Given that the author in her work in Zambia found out that the reason of inefficiency in education is caused by lack of financial resources and inefficiency in educational system itself, she focused exactly on this issue. Furthermore, she treats the area devoted to volunteering and its regularities. The problem of vulnerable children and "street children" can be understood as one of the many consequences of poverty in Zambia. Street children are divided into two groups Children in the Street and Children of the Street. The difference in these two groups is essential; and that the first group spends the free time on the street and the second group lives on the street. In conclusion of the theoretical part, the author introduces the alternative pedagogy of Maria Montessori and she indicates the most important and the most basic principles, elements and specific areas of learning. The research section presents results in relation to the objectives of the dissertation thesis, which she set at the beginning and then got in the research effectuated in the years 2006 - 2009 in Zambia where she focused on the implementation of education and leisure time activities for vulnerable children (OVC / Orphans and vulnerable children) and "street children" of preventive social project of educational and leisure time activities in compaundu (slum) Kalingalinga. The author chose four goals to complete her research. The first objective was to determine whether is possible to use some elements of the pedagogy of Maria Montessori for the education and leisure time activities of vulnerable children (OVC / Orphans and vulnerable children), and "street children"; the second aim was to develop methodological tools and handouts, which will be adapted according the internal culture of the country and social status of children. The third goal was to create a suitable leisure time activities for children of the street, which will again correspond to the nature of children. The fourth goal was to improve cooperation, coordination among the trainees who go to Zambia effectuate the social project. Methodical handouts and instructions, worked out by the author, for working with these children are also a part of this chapter. All the goals of the work had been fulfilled and the author proved that the elements of alternative education of Maria Montessori in education and creation of leisure time activities can be used for vulnerable children and "street children".
Usage alternative massage technique in practice

The submitted graduation thesis focuses on the most well-known massaging methods. Various literature sources were used in order to create a complex view on the topic. The goal of this thesis was to collect all available theoretical information on the origin and history of massaging. The definition of massaging is part of the thesis, together with the effect, purpose as well as individual types of procedures together with their suitability for a quick recovery from fatigue. Individual massaging techniques are addressed in detail, together with their comparison to the mentioned alternative massaging methods. In the graduation thesis was created as a didactic in the form of methodological lists of the procedure sports massaging of the back and neck.
