Assessment effects substandard tributaries flowing a proportion on Q/h characteristics thin-plate weir with a rectangular cutout
Šmidrkalová, Nina ; Šafář, Robert (referee) ; Žoužela, Michal (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with the problem of measuring flow, especially using the method of Q/H characteristics. It describes the thin-plate weir and mentions specific channels. The master´s thesis suggests options of monitoring flow capacity in fixed proffiles with free surface. The master´s thesis also includes an experiment, which is focused on simulation of substandard tributary flowing proportions before weirs for determining their effect on Q/H characteristcs. The experiment is carried out on a thin-plate weir with a rectangular notch at the Department of Water Structures at the Faculty of Civil Engeneering in Brno. Another part of the master´s thesis is data processing to get an idea about the impact of the phenomenon in real applications. Finally, options are recommended for follow-up research.
The influence inclination of supply pipe to the Q/H characteristic of measuring flume PARS P3
Naiser, Dominik ; Žoužela, Michal (referee) ; Zubík, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the influence of the inlet pipe on the Q / H characteristic of the measuring flume PARS P3. Measurements of Q / H characteristics were performed under different inclination of the inlet pipe and the measuring flume. Subsequently, these measurements were processed and the corrections and uncertainties of the measurements were determined from the results.
Flow measurement
Pátek, Tomáš ; Kunz, Jan (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with thermal flowmeter design. In the theoretical part are briefly described flow types, general formulas of fluid mechanics and different flow measurements methods. Second practical part this bachelor thesis deals with design of thermoanemometric gas flow sensor with FS7 sensor by IST AG. Design is based on many measurementrs to get basic features of sensor IST FS7 like heater warming depending on flow, heat transfer in zero flow and basic characteristic. Based on measurements, it is designed mathematical model of sensor by two methods. So it is designed universal performing electronics, which can be used with IST FS7 or IST DFOOL sensors. It is based on development kit Texas Instrumens MSP-EXP430FR2311. Firmware and MATLAB script which processing measured data is included.
CPU based system for river monitoring
Michník, Jakub ; Fiedler, Petr (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
This work presents hardware and software design for CPU based system for river monitoring with AVR microprocessor. It describes possible solutions for measurement of river characteristics, in particular water level height. Pressure method measuring and selection of important electric parts are described in more detail. The software for AVR microprocessor and also a program for PC which can distribute the measured data to the internet are described here.
Formula Student Engine Oil System Function Analysis
Liška, David ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the analysis of the used lubrication system on the eighth generation of Dragon 8 car from team TU Brno Racing. In the beginning of the thesis there is clarifying the Formula Student competition, in which the student team participates, explains its rules and limitations affecting the combustion engine lubrication system. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the possibilities of oil cooling systems and the search of the used components in lubrication system. For the lubrication system is calculated the theoretical volumetric flow rate by an oil pump and then it is verified by measuring the actual flow rate required to determine the cooling capacity of the oil cooler.
Model of Orifice Flowmeter
Dvořáček, Tomáš ; Janečka, Jan (referee) ; Vdoleček, František (advisor)
The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to make the orifice flowmeter accessible for laboratory tuition. The introduction of this Bachelor thesis explains and describes the issues of measuring of liquid flow rate. The individual measurement methods and the types of flowmeter sensors are introduced. The practical section of the Bachelor thesis consists of a proposal and an actual realisation of a model of an orifice flowmeter with a computer supported evaluation.
Measurement Uncertainties Analyze in Gas Industry
Dominik, Jan ; Zuth, Daniel (referee) ; Vdoleček, František (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is tackling measurement uncertainty problems with gas metering. It is specially focusing on a new prototype gross heating value indicator, which was tested directly on the pipeline. This measurement results are compare with standard volumetric flow indicator and determined measurement uncertainty for the distribution partners.
The determination of minimal countercurrent distance of the water surface sensor from the thin-plate V-notch weir.
Kopečná, Monika ; Zubík, Pavel (referee) ; Žoužela, Michal (advisor)
This thesis clarifies the issue of the measuring flows with the help of capacity measurement systems using Q/h characteristics and also describes measuring techniques for determining the water surface level. The various types of measuring weirs and their Q/h characteristics are described in detail. It also mentions the position of the installation of the sensor. The main task is to find a practical minimal countercurrent distance of the water surface sensors used in practice for use with a V-notch weir in the form of experimental measurements in the water management research laboratory at the Department of Water Structures Faculty of Civil Engineering in Brno. The weirs used for this experiment had top angle cutouts of 90°, 53°8´ and 28°4´. The obtained data is evaluated and subsequently the minimal countercurrent distance of the water surface sensor is determined. The thesis also includes recommendations for further research.
River mionitoring system with GSM communication
Pačinek, David ; Šír, Michal (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
This master thesis is dedicated to system of water monitoring for use of alternative source power supply and GSM communication. The thesis carried out research on the possibilities to take measurements on watercourses, also detailed research of photovoltaic panel, available accumulators and their charging and a synopsis of similar systems. Furthermore, the master thesis also captures design and implementation datalogger device type with possibility to send measured data to the website.
