Suspension A-arm with Glued Inserts Design
Dlápal, Václav ; Porteš, Petr (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
Aim of the thesis is to examine influence of mechanical surface treatment on co-axial glued joint between carbon fibre reinforced polymer tube and aluminium alloy pin. In consequence of this examination was designed glued joint to application in A-arms of Formula Student racing vehicle.
The study of adhesion of glued balistic composites on the dependence of materials used.
Dobiáš, Jiří ; Másilko, Jiří (referee) ; Šiler, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this work was to investigate the properties of bonded ballistic materialsBalistic composites are mainly glued to reduce weight while keeping their protective properties. On this basis, the materials used were ballistic steel, ceramics, rubber kevlar, non-gummed kevlar, Dyneema and fiberglass. For bonding used were a one-component adhesive Collano 36.104 and two-component adhesive Biresin U1305. The strength of the joint was measured in shear at tensile loads. From these results, deformation energy was further calculated.
Bonding of 3D FDM printed parts from ABS
Halabrín, Marek ; Varhaník, Matúš (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
The thesis focuses on comparisons of usability of distinct types of glues to attach specimens. The specimens were glued using 4 types of glue: BISON Power Adhesive, BISON Epoxy Universal, PATTEX Repair Epoxy 5 min and a mixture of acetone with diluted ABS plastic as the last. The specimens underwent tensile and impact tests. For the tensile test, the specimens were made in 3 variants: blunt frontal joint, bevelled joint and gradually folded joint. For the impact test, the specimens were made in the form of a rod with a V-shaped notch. All variants of the joints consisted of 5 specimens with 3 unglued specimens for reference. The testing was conducted on the ZD 10/90 tensile strength machine and a Charpy impact test machine from the WPM company. The thesis contains technical-economic evaluation of the results of the tests with comparisons of the individual glues and forms.
Design of Door Frame Curvature
Merkl, Martin ; Málek, Michal (referee) ; Lošák, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of door frame curvature, meant for rail vehicle. Flat glass is adhesively bonded onto the curved door frame and due to the elastic deformation the door frame bends backwards. Hence the door frame must be bend with reserve so that the elastic deformation is covered. Finite element analysis of currently manufactured door with constant curvatere has been carried out, with this analysis it has been checked that the chosen problem approach is suitable. Design of door frame curvature is then made for door frame with combined curvature (different for lower and upper part of door frame). The aim of this thesis was to design the curvature so that after glass is bonded onto it, the door frame will have the right dimensions.
Testing bonded steel sheet coated with zinc
Zedníček, Zbyněk ; Štroner, Marek (referee) ; Dvořák, Milan (advisor)
The aim of this master´s thesis is the design chosen for testing bonded joints on the specified galvanized steel sheet in laboratory conditions and obtaining parameters of bonded joints for application in industrial practice. Basic tests for testing bounded joints were presented in the work. Subsequently, two tests were selected and verified in laboratory conditions. The result of these tests are specific numerical values that were compared with values gained during tests linking method clinch.
Sheets bonding and their testing
Straka, Jan ; Kandus, Bohumil (referee) ; Dvořák, Milan (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to design selected load tests for bonded joints at specified steel sheet DC01 under laboratory conditions and to compare the strength of the degreased joints with technical alcohol and uncrushed joints. The basic methods of joining thin sheets are presented in the thesis. The following is an overview of test methods for bonded sheets according to the relevant technical standards. The results of the selected tests are the specific numerical values that have been compared with those reported by the manufacturer of the particular adhesive.
Composite Track Rods Design
Olišar, Petr ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with trackrods of Formula Student car. Aim of this thesis is to create glue joint between CFRP tube and aluminium insert for a new generation Dragon suspension by the TU Brno Racing. Practical part is focused on an adhesive static shear strenght testing and appropriate insert design.
Bonding of 3D printed PET-G parts
Maxa, Ondřej ; Kupčák, Radim (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
This bachelor thesis solves the problem of gluing PET-G material, which is used for printing 3D models in 3D printers. The goal is to select and then test the adhesive suitable for bonding the material. The suitability of the recommended adhesives was determined on the basis of standardized tests on experimental blasting equipment. Based on the measurement results, it is suitable to use one-component instant adhesives for gluing PET-G material, the advantage of which is easy handling and quickly achievable handling strength.
Durability determination of adhesive used for timber structures
Šot, Michal ; Krbila, Jaromír (referee) ; Vaněrek, Jan (advisor)
The work deals with issues of bonding in wood adherents and using test procedures to determine the properties and durability of bonded joints. The work contains an overview of the test procedures performed, plus two research articles. In the practical part of the work, experiments were performed dealing with the bond durability od FPR/wood and evaluating this material.
Methodology of Glue Joints Simulation in Automotive Industry
Hrádek, Zbyněk ; Janda, Štěpán (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the subject of modeling high strength glued joints which are used during barrier crashtest simulations according to EuroNCAP methods. The purpose of the thesis is to design a metodology of modelling glued joints which will give acceptable results of its behavior during experiment.
