Design of an automatic cycle for assessing the measurement capability of a workpiece probe on a machining center
Mišún, Filip ; Marek, Tomáš (referee) ; Holub, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis describes the procedures of individual electronic compensations for CNC machines used to increase the accuracy of machines. This part is followed by the determining tolerance of the measuring and the influence of individual electronic compensations based on measured data using touch probe and calibrated standards according to VDA 5 norm.
Measurement of workpieces on machine tools using a touch probe
Velič, Samuel ; Marek, Tomáš (referee) ; Holub, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the influence of electronic compensation on accuracy of the measurement using the touch probe. The theoretical part concerns touch probes, specifically their classification, principles of working and applications. This part also includes devices used later in the experiment, particularly double ballbar, laser interferometer and LaserTRACER. The Practical part describes an experiment, demonstrating the correlation between the accuracy improvement of the touch probe and the electronic compensation’s level. All measurements were executed in accordance with the norm VDA 5 and were evaluated by the Matlab software. The graphs of reliance tolerance of capability of measurement on the length of the benchmark. At the end of this diploma thesis there are partial conclusions deduced. The deduction is based on generated graphs. The partial conclusions synoptically compare the influence of individual machine´s configurations on the accuracy of the touch probe.
Deformation measurement of turbocharger nozzle ring under temperature load
Kovářová, Lucie ; Žatko, Miroslav (referee) ; Dlugoš, Jozef (advisor)
The thesis is about deformation measurement of the nozzle ring in variable nozzle turbine mechanism under temperature load. In the first part, there is a brief description of the turbocharger. In the second part, methods of deformation measurement are mentioned there. The main part of the thesis includes component testing of selected measuring methods and their application for measuring deformation of the nozzle ring on the turbocharger. Test is done on a gas stand which simulates the thermal load conditions of the turbocharger, same which is exposed to on the engine.
Online correction of geometric and dimensional deviations
Plichta, Zbyněk ; Vetiška, Jan (referee) ; Holub, Michal (advisor)
The thesis deals with a development and application of laser interferometer system for the online error calibration of CNC machine tool. The term „online“ means, that laser interferometer is permanently built in the machine tool. Therefore particular error measurements can be done in very short time period.
Atmospheric correction unit for the laser interferometer
Kučera, Stanislav ; Drexler, Petr (referee) ; Szabó, Zoltán (advisor)
This work deals with design, realization and testing the device for suppression the effect of the fluctuation of the atmospheric conditions on the laser interferometer measurement. Parasitic and randomly changes of atmospheric conditions – temperature, pressure, relative humidity and chemical composition of the air changes his refractive index, then wavelength of the laser light in this environment. Physical properties of air are measured by ultraprecision sensors. The actual wavelength is periodically calculated from Edlén formula. The device is processing the quadrature output signals from receiver of the homodyne interferometer include the atmospheric correction in real time. The device is equipped with interface to data acquisition into the personal computer.
Impact of conventional compensation to the volumetric accuracy of the machine tool
Žák, Zdeněk ; Vetiška, Jan (referee) ; Holub, Michal (advisor)
This thesis solves the impact of conventional compensation to the volumetric accuracy of the CNC machine. It is therefore a practical research work, where are in the theoretical introduction mentioned requirements for machine tools, the types of errors that can occur on three-axis kinematics, compensation for the control system Siemens Sinumerik 840D sl and devices by means of which are these compensation under the work formed and subsequently verified. In this work can be seen the measured values and graphs from each measurements, a detailed analysis of the results and drawing conclusions from these results.
Linear axis accuracy measurement of machine tools with a Laser Tracker
Žůrek, František ; Vetiška, Jan (referee) ; Knobloch, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis contains research in the field of machine tools positioning accuracy followed by linear measurements of MCV 754 QUICK machine with a laser-interferometric system RENISHAW XL-80. The aim is to get three positioning errors in each axis of the machine, evaluate the measuring method and compare different measurements that are going to be performed.
Building and control of 5-axis milling machines
Anderle, Milan ; Knobloch, Josef (referee) ; Holub, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis studies the building and control of the five-axis CNC machining centres. Modern methods of geometric accuracy measurements are described with possibilites of compensating for geomeric and volumetric errors. Measuring devices described in this thesis are laser interferometer XL-80 and ballbar QC20-W for measuring geometric accuracy of MCV 754 Quick machine. The aim of the thesis is to describe current trends in construction, design and controlling of five-axis milling machines.
The smart electronic unit for precise measurement of refractive index of air in a nano-positioning stage for scanning probe microscopy (SPM)
Hucl, Václav ; Čížek, Martin ; Buchta, Zdeněk ; Mikel, Břetislav ; Lazar, Josef ; Číp, Ondřej
When the traceable measurement of dimensions of samples in scanning probe microscopy is needed the position of the probe tip has to be monitored by a set of laser interferometers. The measurement is done very often during standard atmospheric conditions so the changes of the refractive index of air have an influence to measured values of the length with 1.0exp(-4) relatively. Thus the measurement of the refractive index of air and application of the instantaneous value of the index to all of measurement interferometric axes is necessary. In the work we developed new concept of electronic unit which is able to monitor the refractive index of air on basis of measurement of weather conditions: temperature, humidity and pressure of the air. The unit uses modified Edlen formula for calculation of the refractive index. The next step of the work is verification of accuracy of the measuring capability of the unit. We tested the accuracy with reference unit which measure the refractive index of air by a set of etalon sensors. The expected accuracy of the smart electronic unit falls to the 4.1exp(-7) relatively. The important advantage of the unit is very low power consumption of electronics so the unit causes very small temperature effects to the measuring process.
Laser head with VCSEL laser diode
Mikel, Břetislav ; Urban, F.
We describe a new laser head with Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser (VCSEL) diode. The VCSEL lasers at 760 nm with mode-hop free tuning range above 1 nm are affordable now. The VCSEL's are fabricated as circulary-symetric lasers; the circular aperture is of particular value as it implies a circular beam profile. The linewidth and the optical noise of the VCSEL laser diode depend on the stability of the current source controller and on the quality temperature control system. We developed a digital temperature control system with temperature stability below 1 mK and high stability current source conttroller.
