Fast Implementation of Geometric Algorithms
Krba, Martin ; Jošth, Radovan (referee) ; Havel, Jiří (advisor)
One of the most often used calculations in computer graphics is detection of collision between ray of light and triangle on the surface of object in 3D space. This frequent usage is motivation to search for the best methods for this calculations. This thesis contains explanation of basics of this topic and also testing of methods with real input data to better and accurate comparison.
Liberec, Ruprechtická x Michelský Vrch
Kaňková, Kateřina ; Belda, Miroslav (referee) ; Smělý, Martin (advisor)
This diploma thesis presents various redesign scenarios of the intersection of Ruprechticka, Michelsky vrch and U Pramenu streets located in Liberec, Czech Republic. The work presented in this thesis is as answer to the current intersection arrangement that does not meet the requirements of a safe traffic crossroad due to its broad, unorganized spatial arrangement. Three redesign options are developed and proposed based on performed traffic volume counts, vehicular speed monitoring, and previous history of traffic accidents in this intersection. Implemented traffic calming measures include significant changes to the lane arrangement and width in the intersection. It is proposed that the U Pramenu street is converted to one-way street to further reduce the overall traffic volume travelling through the intersection. Moreover, all redesign scenarios and strategies focus on improving safety and comfort of pedestrians and persons with disabilities. Finally, a multiple-criteria decision analysis is carried out and the most viable redesign option is selected.
Editor and Simulator of Traffic by Cellular Automata
Vašátko, Libor ; Zbořil, František (referee) ; Žák, Jakub (advisor)
This thesis deals with cellular automata, mainly with their application in traffic simulation. Existing simulation models Nagel-Schreckenberg and Brake-light are analyzed, and their extension to simulate intersections is designed. Application for editing and simulating of any intersection is designed and implemented. This application allows to compare different simulation models also allows to add new simulation model created by user. In the end, designed extension for simulation models is tested.
Assessment of road traffic signs on selected cross sections
Vaclík, Adam ; MBA, Martin Tóth, (referee) ; Varaus, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to verify the accuracy of the location of the vertical road signs at selected intersections and to consider colorimetric and retroreflective properties of some of them. If some brands fail, it is necessary to propose solutions. At the end of this work there is a summary of how many brands fail and subsequent percentaual quantification.
Crossroad I/54 x II/498 x III/05417 in Slavkov - Study
Kubík, Tomáš ; Čepil, Jiří (referee) ; Radimský, Michal (advisor)
The diploma thesis is dealing with design of junction reconstruction in the framework of anurbanistic study. The junction is located in Slavkov village, Zlín region, where the I/54, II/498 and III/05417 roads intersect each other. The aim of the project is to design well-arranged intersection of three different types of roads and create safe, comfortable and pedestrian friendly crossroad. There are two basic versions. The modification of junction was elected as the most suitable version, which is designed and specified by technical report and drawings.
Electrical motors parameters identification using subspace based methods
Jenča, Pavol ; Veselý, Ivo (referee) ; Blaha, Petr (advisor)
The electrical motors parameters identification is solved in this master’s thesis using subspace based methods. Electrical motors are simulated in Matlab/Simulink interactive environment, specifically permanent magnet DC motor and permanent magnet synchronous motor. Identification is developed in Matlab interactive environment. Different types of subspace algorithms are used for the estimation of parameters. Results of subspace parameters estimation are compared with least squares parameters estimation. The thesis describes subspace method, types of subspace algorithms, used electrical motors, nonlinear approach of identification and comparation of parameters identification.
Reconstruction design of Gorkého Street in Brno
Smolka, Zdeněk ; Rambousek, Martin (referee) ; Radimský, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is the elaboration of a technical study of Gorkého Street in Brno - Veveří. In the diploma thesis, three variants of situations will be elaborated, which will focus on several different criteria. Variant 1st. focuses primarily on cyclists, a dedicated bike lane and a parking space with sloping and longitudinal layouts. In variant 2nd. is the effort to preserve the existing width arrangement, the original street greenery is preserved. The parking spaces are perpendicular and cycling is covered by a pictogram. Variant 3rd. is primarily concerned with the number of parking spaces. Variant 2nd. was selected for detailed development. The street will be completely reconstructed due to the construction of sewerage and water supply. All construction modifications are designed according to valid standards and regulations.
Computational Model and Analysis of Adaptive Traffic Lights
Terbr, Filip ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
This thesis deals with the topic of adaptive intersections and the study of their influence on the flow of traffic and others. The work contains an analysis of currently used traffic detectors, an analysis of the main problems of classic intersections and the possibilities of their solution, followed by the design of the model, a description of the implementation and testing of the created model. The resulting model is created in the UPPAAL SMC software and is a system of timed automata communicating with each other. Testing is performed by comparing the results of tests of classical traffic lights with the results of adaptive traffic lights.
Traffic Project - Lipůvka, Road I/43
Londin, Filip ; Pavlíček, Jan (referee) ; Holcner, Petr (advisor)
The Bachelor Thesis is looking into a solution to traffic situation on the road I/43 Lipuvka. It aims to analyse the current position and to look for new possibilities to increase the capacity and improve the situation. The places of research are mainly crossroads I/43 Blansko, I/43 Drásov. This Thesis is also trying to assess and describe the benefits and costs of possible solutions.
Krásnopolská and Opavská streets intersection
Kocurek, Ondřej ; Kotas, Roman (referee) ; Všetečka, Martin (advisor)
This final thesis focuses on the intersection of Krásnopolská and Opavská Streets in Ostrava. The present intersection provides a main traffic connection between the city districts of Krásné Pole and Poruba. Opavská Street is part of the road I/11, a major traffic route between Opava and Ostrava. This final thesis focuses on the design options for a better connection of Krásnopolská Street with Opavská Street. The existing junction is technically unsatisfactory, mainly because the view for traffic is not ideal and previous adjustments to the corners of the intersection are inappropriate. All options are proposed in accordance with the applicable standards and regulations.
