Improvisation and Creativity in Dance and Movement Education in Primary School

The goal of this thesis is to remind the importance of the two selected categories of the educational content of the subject of dance and movement education in primary school: improvisation and creativity, their conception and implementation in education. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part firstly deals with dance based on movement - the most natural activity of everyone. Then, the subject of dance and movement education is introduced together with its characteristics. The following chapters describe the importance of improvisation and creativity in dance and movement education. The practical part consists of a qualitative research of which the main aim was to find out how improvisation and creativity are being fulfilled in practice. The research was realized using the method of participating observation. That part also presents its results.

Poetry slam and slam poetry in Germany and Czech Republic. History, forms and comparison

This thesis deals with a contemporary phenomenon bordering on literature and performance, i.e. with the poetry slam. It summarizes the different attitudes to the terminology and the definitions of the key terms (particularly within the Czech-German discourse), includes the history of the poetry slam formation, its expansion to the other countries and its establishment in the Czech Republic and Germany. The work focuses on a comparison of important aspects of the "poetry slam" as an event format and the "slam poetry" as a literary genre on the Czech and German scene, which was based on available literature, slam visits, recordings from the events and interviews with the participants. The results of the comparative analysis provide the public better with the specifics of the both scenes, which is of importance especially to the Czech scene that has stayed without a public interest up to the present day.

Musical-pedagogical legacy of Božena Viskupová

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the contribution of Božena Viskupová in the development of musical-pedagogical pedagogy. The thesis has a research character based both on a professional as well as a methodical analysis of Božena Viskupova's work. It also shows her yet unpublished manuscript and personal documents to the extent her family allows. The research part of the thesis includes an analysis of the interviews with musical personalities and contemporary educators.

Methodological approaches to teaching improvisation at primary art school.

This work deals with the teaching of improvisation in basic art schools. It describes the contribution and signifikance of improvisation in the pupil's life, in his musical development. The aim of this work is to focus on the practical aspects of piano teaching, both from the pupil's point of view (pupil's musical needs, difficulties) and from the teacher's point of view. The work refutes the opinion that improvisation is conditioned by special, individual talent, but emphasizes that a suitable approach and methodology can develop improvisation in each student. The work also deals with some of the possible difficulties in learning to play the piano, and these are stress and tremor and musical dyslexia. Work connects both of these phenomena with the ability to improvise and shows how improvisation can have a positive effect on these learning difficulties. Another goal of this work is to map the current state of teaching improvisation in our basic art schools. For this purpose, a questionnaire was created addressing teachers throughout the Czech Republic. The elements of Drama in Education in the lessons World of Human

In this diploma thesis is focus on Drama in Education, which is used mainly in the lessons of the World of Human with overlap into other education. The topic of the diploma thesis was to improve the relations between pupils and thus to influence the climate in the classroom. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part focus on the content and specific objectives of Drama in Education. It describes in more details the methods and techniques of Drama in Education. In the practical part, is presented a methodical proposal of lessons for students of the 2nd grade of primary school. Each lesson consists of three parts - planning of a lesson, implementation of topic and subsequent reflection. The first topic relates to friendship, the second one relates to class climate, the third is about hurting and the fourth is about bragging. In the lessons plans are used and tried several drama education methods and techniques, which could give the answer to research question. In the empirical part are present two questionnaires. The first questionnaire was given to pupils before the drama lessons and the second questionnaire after the completion of all four lessons. Organ works of Olivier Messiaen and inspiration for organ improvisation

Thesis‘ aim is to analyze selected organ pieces of Olivier Messiaen with respect to compositional elements which can be used during organ improvisation. Thesis focuses on pieces of composer‘s early period. In the introduction is outlined composer‘s biography and his extraordinary relationship to organ and basic elements of his musical speech are described. Actual analysis of individual pieces focuses on harmonical, rhytmical and melodical components of pieces, as well as their musical forms. Subsequently, evaluation of suitability of particular piece for improvisation is made, proposals for practising improvisation are presented and possibilities for modification of pieces are listed. Apart from theoretical analysis thesis focuses on description of practical ways how can be the knowledge discovered during analysis applied in praxis.

Editing news by anchormen of the Studio ČT24 programme

This thesis is focused on the position of anchors in Czech television's newsroom and on the way they use their experience in broadcasting. Nowadays, the job of news anchor in public service TV stations no longer only consists of reading a script off of a teleprompter. It is required to show knowledge during two-hour broadcasting section. Following Bachelor thesis evaluate degree of adaptation of headlines and leads as well as degree of following the broadcasting scenario through in-depth interviews with chosen anchors of Studio ČT24 programme. The issue will be illustrated with exaples of parts of ČT24 broadcasting from the spring 2018 - the author will evaluate how anchors can do interviews (primarily in person, additionally over the phone). Public service media place high demands on anchors and the interviews will reveal anchors' general overview and preparation. Last but not least, the thesis focuses on naturalness of anchors' presentation. It also looks at anchors' ability to improvise and to handle unexpected situations. The aim of the thesis is to discover how big impact the anchor has on the final form of broadcasting, which parts are directed by him.

Quartets without harmonic instrument in present-day jazz

The main goal of this thesis is to describe the history and significance of one of the less usual band settings that has appeared within the tradition of jazz music – two wind instruments, double bass and drums. In addition to the historic overview of this particular band setting, it‘s main protagonists will be listed as well as their major works and achievements. Emphasis will be put on the contemporary jazz scene, both European and American. In the practical part of this thesis transcriptions of selected works will be presented and analyzed.
